I was eager to go to Angel boutique to shop for my daughter's communion dress. They carry a hard to come by designer called Kingdom Boutique. Kingdom Boutique is a dress designer based out of the UK. Her dresses are to DIE for. Ordering from the designer herself would have been more cost effective, but we were in a crunch for time and decided to overpay for the dress at Angel so that I'd surely have the dress in time. I wanted to make the experience a special one for my daughter. The pandemic has taken away too many experiences from my children, so I wanted her to have a special day dedicated to her dress shopping. We invited her grandmothers to join us for this experience. When we arrived, we weren't helped all that much. We were shown a section of dresses and then the owner left us to look. We helped ourselves to the fitting room. As my daughter was trying on dresses, my little one found a Kingdom party dress. I told her if it's her size, I'll buy it! I did not have a chance to look at the size right away, so my daughter held it in her hands. She dropped it (it was covered in a dress bag), I picked it up and the owner took it from me right away saying that I can't imagine how expensive the dress is and it needs to go on the rack. I was a little turned off, but didn't want to ruin the experience for my daughter who is receiving her communion. Instead of asking for a Kingdom dress in my little one's size, I decided that I will not give this store more money than I have to. While my older daughter was trying on communion dresses, two ladies walked in and started to complain about the quality of a product that Angel Boutique sold them. It looked as though the customers were really upset and kept persisting. The owner started to yell and swear at the women while little children and new customers were in her store. We are all worked up from the incident. I wanted to get my daughter the dress she liked and I wanted to get out as fast as possible. We purchased one of the most expensive dresses in the store. The owner bagged it up, I paid and we left. That same night, we wanted to show my husband the dress. When we took the dress out of its bag, I noticed beads were missing. I went through the whole dress thoroughly and realized beads were missing all over. I looked back at the pictures that we took from the store and zoomed in. Beads were missing all along and the owner sold it to us at her full, exaggerated price without bating an eyelash. I called the store and told her. She suggested that I drop the dress off and she will fix it. The shop is one hour away from where I live and despite the inconvenience, I drove an hour there and back to drop it off. I had to call to follow up on the dress. The owner told me it's almost ready and I stated that I would pick it up on the upcoming Saturday. Saturday came and I had to go on another adventure to Angel Boutique to pick up the dress. One hour there and one hour back. Upon checking the dress, the owner had to emphasize that it took her 3 hours to fix the dress. I told her it's taken me 4 hours of travel and a lot of expensive gas to deal with the dress. I also mentioned that she should have never let a dress in that condition leave her store. She stated that she cannot go through the beading of every dress and I suggested that she should check every dress before it leaves her store. She then stated that checking her product is up to the customer and not her. How ridiculous. Customers need to be your quality control??? Sorry, but I don't get paid for that. I'm paying you OVER AND ABOVE FULL price for a damaged dress. Not to mention, how am I supposed to focus on checking a dress when there is a fight and swearing happening as my daughter is trying to have a special moment? I emphasized that she should have never charged me full price for the damaged dress that was tried on over and over again. She said I was in a bind for time and no matter what everyone has to pay full price. Well a bit of advice to everyone...DO NOT SHOP AT ANGEL. The owner is a narcissist and acts as if her customers owe her something. She is very unprofessional and does not appreciate the business that people give her. KINGDOM BOUTIQUE DOES NOT HAVE AUTHORIZED RESELLERS. IF YOU EVER WANT ONE OF THEIR DRESSES, GET IT DIRECTLY FROM KINGDOM. THE DESIGNER/OWNER IS AMAZING AND WILL WORK WITH YOU TO EXPEDITE ORDERS AND SHIPMENTS. YOU WILL PAY LESS MONEY FOR A BRAND NEW, NEVER WORN OR TOUCHED DRESS. Buyer beware of Angel Boutique. read more
