My wife requested the price of a box to mail an item 9x9x5 ( on speaker phone). We were quoted…read more$5.00. I arrived there about 1 hour after calling. The order rang up at 6.99 + .61 tax. When I told the girl we were quoted $5.00 she said that's wrong, I must have given the wrong info when I called. I had no choice but to mail it at this point. My wife called the store and tried explaining to the man that answered and he kept repeating things incorrectly so she asked to speak to the manager. Manager Lily came to the phone and said we must have measured wrong and if I didn't like the price when I got there I could have left without mailing my package. No accountability! She even laughed while saying this. She totally dismissed our wanting this corrected, and in an unprofessional way. It isn't even the $2.00 difference, it's the fact they didn't honor a quote and the lack of professionalism

In the past, whenever I've brought in larger boxes, the employees have simply taken them to the back to be shredded. This time, however, after I paid, I was told to empty all four banker boxes into a small shredding bin through what was essentially a mail slot. As you can imagine, that wasn't practical. When I expressed my concern, the employee told me their policy had changed because the documents were personal. I understand the need to protect personal information, but when I asked when this policy changed, he said it had been in place for about two years. The problem is that I've used this location three times in the past three months, and I was never asked to do this before. This was a very disappointing customer service experience. I ended up asking for a refund and took my documents to FedEx instead, where they accepted all four boxes without any issues. It's frustrating to see customer service decline like this, and then people wonder why customers choose to take their business elsewhere and why some stores eventually struggle or close.
