I had a strong craving for froyo after a work meeting, and drove about 20 minutes from where I was…read moreto appease this craving! Cherry Berry is actually located in Broken Arrow, and perhaps even the more "run-down" area of town. The neighborhood itself seems safe in daylight, as there was a ton of traffic when I was around on a Saturday around 4pm. However the buildings seemed to look like they were on the "older" side. Even so, this didn't stop me from getting froyo! I helped myself to a mix of cotton candy and salted caramel, which I then topped with cookie dough and brownie pieces, as well as popping mochi. I didn't see any regular mochi, which was a surprising disappointment! I paid about $6.75 for 10 ounces, and thoroughly enjoyed the cotton candy flavor. The salted caramel wasn't as much of a favorite, but was still delicious. There aren't too many froyo places in Tulsa, so I'm glad Cherry Berry is around in that regard.

They also fill the cup to the brim with soft serve, which was awesome. My only complaint, and something my husband and brother-in-law noticed too, was that the taiyaki fillings and toppings weren't quite as generous. We wished there was a little more filling inside the taiyaki and more toppings overall. We're from CA, where SomiSomi is everywhere, so we were so happy to find something similar here in Tulsa.

They were pretty nice and crispy which was nice. Overall I probably won't be back unless they add more flavors to try out.

It's always a little sad... not just because I think Josh's snow cones are amazing, but also because it's yet another sign that summer is over (though don't get me wrong - fall is awesome too). However, I heard they may be testing out some new things other than snow cones (I think just the Brookside location?)? All I have to say is: if their snow cones are any indicator of other stuff they'll do, I'm willing to try. The worker in the shack was masked, and also notably friendly (something I didn't realize that I haven't come across as much in covid times until that moment, due to doing only takeout). I appreciated that. People are able to spread out from others while waiting in line (or even wait in their car for the line to die down). On one of my visits this year, I got peach, coconut, and blackberry. I thought it was cool that their specialty flavor at the time was Hamilton (peach, banana, and blackberry), which was basically what I got just with coconut instead of banana. I thought mine still worked for a Hamilton theme too though, so it made me happy!

We sampled 11 different chocolates, but honestly only 2 really stood out to us: the Orange Stick and the Mexican Chocolate. The rest were fairly bland and didn't have the rich, memorable flavors we were expecting from a specialty chocolate shop. The service was polite and professional, but it lacked a warm, welcoming feel. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it also wasn't one that would make me want to come back. Personally, I would recommend Glacier Chocolate over this shop. We found Glacier's chocolates to be more flavorful, more unique, and the overall experience was much more enjoyable.

A snow-cone stand? I had not seen one in a very long time,…read morein fact the last time I saw one was at a carnival in California a few years ago. I am not from Oklahoma but I came on vacation and looking at homes to rent/buy because I plan on moving out here eventually. My amazing hotel was nearby and when I walked to nearby Casey's, I saw the stand. I actually saw the stand 3 years ago but it was under a different name though I can't really recall what the name was(I could be wrong though). This time around I decided to give it a try, the weather was hot and humid, I can't believe how hot it gets in Oklahoma and I wanted something to cool off. The first time I arrived it was too early, wasn't open yet. Second time I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they will be back in 15 minutes. I came back an hour later and still wasn't open :( After that I was a little busy sightseeing and never got around to coming back to try one. Although I didn't get to experience what a snow cone from Josh's would be like, it's ok. My review still stands as 5 stars because I know in my heart it would have been an amazing snow-cone. The menu is cute and the flavors sound great and it seems like such a great experience to just come by, sit on the bench outside and enjoy a snow-cone. I do plan on coming back to Oklahoma again soon, maybe permanently one day so I am undeterred, I will not give up and try and get a nice refreshment from here! Thank you!
