Super clean, car wash, parking lot in front and back, Subway attached, and great selection of the mini market.

Glazer Doughnut with Chocolate Drizzle: Kwik Trip is a convenience store/gas station chain located…read moreprimarily in the upper Mid-West. It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). It wasn't until 2003 that Kwik Trip introduced their Glazer Doughnuts. I couldn't find a lot of info on Glazers, but they appear to simply be the Kwik Trip version of a glazed doughnut. The Glazer that I got my hands on is a yeast/raised doughnut, covered in a sweet glaze, and has a chocolate drizzle on top. There's a pale/whitish appearance to the doughnut since the layer of glaze is so thick. With an appearance like that it reminded me a bit of a zebra or oddly enough, the Warboys from Mad Max. My glazer was satisfyingly sweet, and the chocolate drizzle was a nice touch as it was not simply for aesthetics, but did add some milk chocolate flavor. Warming it in the microwave for a few seconds elevated it to near Krispy Kreme status (aka perfection). Even though it's an ersatz Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnut (to be fair, all other glazed doughnuts in my experience are), Kwik Trip's version is still tasty enough to be Doughboy approved My top doughnut shops: 1. Donut Bar (San Diego) 2. Pinkbox Doughnuts (Las Vegas) 3. Everglazed (Disney Springs) 4. Cranky Al's (MKE) 5. Krispy Kreme (various locations in different states) doughboy_food_reviews

Holy crap this station is busy!…read more I guess that's a given figuring that it's the only gas station that's nearby the neighboring mall, but you'd think Speedway would hire some more folks to man the registers, as there's usually only one checkout open. You're best off paying at the pump. If you're not going to get gas and you park on the side of the building, be prepared to be blocked in and hope they speak the same language. Try using your $2,000 worth of three semesters of broken Spanglish to try to get a guy to move his car. "Por favor, puedes....um....vaije....um, I mean conducir....el carro, no, el coche?"

This is a go-to location for me, since it's close to both my home and work. I stop here frequently…read moreto fill up on both gas and food & beverages. A lot of times, you can find good deals on the latter. For example, on my most recent visit, they had a good number of their energy drinks on sale: 3 for $5. Other were 2 for $4 (yes, I am a fan of energy drinks. Please don't judge!). The one thing that I would like to see improve is having all of the checkouts open at the same time. At my last visit, there were only 2 out of the 3 registers open. Meanwhile, there was a line of people waiting to checkout. Not cool when you are there on your lunch hour and have a limited time to accomplish things. Things would have moved a bit faster if all of the registers would have been open. Despite that issue, I still like stopping here and will continue to do so.

I thought to try it again today and I experienced the same result. Apparently this equipment is not being maintained properly and the cleaning cycle does not have the detergent or intensity that it once had.

I'm now using this Shell station, since the one at 13th and College closed…read more I will forewarn you, at the time of writing this review up, Shell's new corporate policy is to put a $100 dollar hold on your account if you fill with a debit card (or in my case, a Shell app using PayPal that I've been using since the pandemic started so I only have to put a gloved hand on the nozzle). The remaining amount of that hold after purchase takes *6 days to clear your bank*. That means the extra $50 from last week's fill up is still on hold, as well as almost $50 from today's fill up, until midnight when the first $50 is released from hold. Why am I still giving it 4 stars? The manager kindly explained the situation, told me it was out of his control, gave me me his station ID number, and gave me the number of Shell Corporate to call. Not only that, but this station has always been much cleaner than the one at 13th and College. My car has always run best on the Shell V-Power premium fuel, but it's a shame that there are less and less Shell stations around, and even a bigger shame about the bank pre-authorization holds. If you are low on bank funds, my advice is either pay cash or find somewhere else, because the money that is on hold for 6 days could be used to buy things, like say, food, groceries, or rent...
