After buying the 5 hour package for £75 I had Gerry as an instructor, and during the first 3 hours…read moreI did about an hours worth of actual independent driving. He was very slow to progress onto the next stage and often times was more concerned about fuel and not wearing out his cars clutch than actually letting you learn. Not only this but neither he nor Smart Learner mentioned that 2 hours of this 5 hour package are reserved for the Test and cannot be used as driving lessons (or if this was mentioned it was definitely not made clear enough, in person and on the website). Furthermore he made arrangements for another lesson after those 3 hours were up, not mentioning the fact that I will have to pay for the next appointment until I got into the car on the day, only to be left disappointed and told that I CANNOT get a refund due to the appointment already having been made.

Instructor is always interfering with your driving when you have every thing under control for no…read morereason, His approach to maneuvers is bad telling you what to do constantly which puts you in a bad position doesnt let you concentrate... car is awful, the clutch needed some servicing... never uses A/C so expect to boil in summer... He always gives you this worrying feel which causes you to drive bad... his advice is no good.. I did 9 lessons with him he was so bad... did another 10 with someone else and passed the first time with only 3 minors but when I did my tenth lesson after my test with him he told me I still need more... if you want a decent instructor dont go with this company its a waste of money and time.

I was disgusted at the way I was spoken to when a problem arose. Having not used up all of my lessons and given 48 hours worth of notice, she refused to give me a full refund, instead settling on half of the agreed price. Not only this, but in resolving the dispute, I was shouted at and intimidated. Whilst the instruction is satisfactory, I would not recommend this school on the basis of customer service.
