Sat Solution takes care of your satellite dish installation 'for all foreign satellite channels'…read moreapparently - great if English isn't your first language and you'd like to watch some TV to just relax rather than struggle with a continual English lesson. Or also great if English is your first language and you'd like to learn another by turning potential zombiefied Scrubs-athons into entertaining foreign language lessons. As well as providing this service (a good plan if you fancy satellite TV but don't fancy scaling the outer walls of your house with a giant dish) they also sell essential equipment for TV fans such as aerials, free view boxes and other mysterious boxes that magically make moving pictures appear on a screen in your very own living room, high definition receivers, various wires and sockets and some computer bits and bobs. They are also 'specialists in fitting plasma/LCD TV and PC repairs'. So basically if you're looking for any computer or TV related geekery you may well find it here!
Television, good or bad?…read more A friend of mine has the words 'weapon of mass mind control - turn on at own risk' scribbled on their box set in chalk. I find this very witty and charming. Although others may find this horrific. I once saw an episode of 'Wife Swap' (on the telly of course) and one women spent a good hour or two in fits of tears due to the lack of TV in her swapped husbands household. MAD. Obviously television can be dangerous. If you are susceptible to such addiction and never leave your house. However, television can be a god send, if you are absolutely madly interested in something and there just so happens to be an hour long special on the subject, the evening you are stuck with nothing to do. Perfect. But the question is, do you switch it off? Or, do you become hypnotized like a zombie eyes glazed and mouth dribbling until you realise you have been watching Noel Edmonds and some other oddballs holding hands and swaying whilst gambling with cardboard boxes? Where is the logic in that? I am not dissing TV. I used to watch Neighbours religiously, and obviously the odd Wife Swap. There. I said it. But now that I have no tuned in television in my house by choice, I don't watch anything but films. And I don't miss television one little bit. My opinion and blabbering aside, if you do like a bit of telly and would like to have a satellite fitted onto the side of your house then give Sat Solution a look. It is a little shop on the Roundhay Road, very easy to find, that specialises in supplying and erecting satellites and aerials for televisions and radios. They are friendly and will know exactly what you need, just give em a visit.
