He made time to show me the house same day, and immediately got information regarding the selling agent's timeline to review offers. John reached out to the agent multiple times over the weekend, so by the following week, the agent was actually reaching out to him to see if we were submitting our offer. I believe that John's proactivity in developing a relationship with the selling agent, along with his offer strategy, are what made our offer the winner. John was there every step of the way, spending a few hours at the house on the day of inspections and walking me through everything, answering all of my questions (which were A LOT), providing recommendations for vendors and other guidance, and talking me off the ledge a few times when I was overwhelmed or spooked by the whole process. When some necessary repairs came up on the inspections, John strategized our request for a credit and ended up getting me way more than I was expecting (which was honestly $0 in this competitive market) and got me a price reduction rather than a credit. Overall, John was proactive and strategic throughout the entire process, and not only did he get me a house that I fell in love with, he ensured that I knew exactly what I was getting into and got me some money back to make necessary repairs. He also sent me a ton of moving boxes (I didn't even have to buy any) and on the day I got my keys, he came in and replaced my smoke detectors since they were on the older side. Since I've been in the house, he's also been quick to share recommendations for different vendors and I've been really happy with everyone he's recommended.
