We'd originally gone there seeking the Delice but as we walk through the door, I see the cheesemonger literally spooning out the gorgonzola into a container & it was love at first sight Grabbed a baguette from around the corner & dinner was served. That Gorgonzola was INCREDIBLE! Oozy, gooey, mild but tons of flavor The Delice de Pommard was a cream cheese with mustard seed husks from the Burgundy region Also offering wines, oils and lots of other temptations, Alain Hess is well worth a visit. His shop is a reflection of all his years of studying the art of chocolate and candy. Everything in his chocolates are made by his shop - not purchased. The caramels melt in your mouth and are full of flavor. I adored the cassis (black currant) flavor. The chocolates are beautiful and touted as some of the best in the world, yet not badly priced. I was thrilled with my experience and highly recommend you stop in to taste (and buy) some delights!
