En 1901 Ménélik, Empereur D'Abyssinie appelé Négus par les Abyssiniens, est venu en visite officielle en France. Le bonbon chocolaté a donc gardé ce nom et a continué à plaire grâce à son caramel mou et au chocolat enrobé dans un sucre cuit. Mais vous pourrez trouver bien d'autres délices chez ce confiseur de génie.

First, we almost left without even sitting down - there are 2 rooms, one for the people with reservations, one for walk-ins, but nothing indicates that, and the poor waitresses were too busy to even ask us whether we had a reservation or not. Second, we waited a good 20 minutes to get 3 lukewarm chocolates (pretty sure the kitchen forgot to tell the waitresses when they were ready) and never got the glass of water we asked for to drink with it. I guess that the chocolates could have been good, but lukewarm is not the way to enjoy them. At €4.50 per small cup, I expected more - wouldn't be going back.

The owner, a young woman, is really sweet as her pastries, smiling and cooking at the same time. Prices are really ok for the quality. The place is tiny, but so cosy. We didn't wait for long. We come back really often!
