Unbelievably unprofessional Service. I was at Jaguar Landrover today and the reception staff kindly called me a taxi to Southend. After waiting for 35 minutes the taxi finally arrived. I got into the taxi and the driver asked where I was going to, which I confirmed Southend Central. He then said that he was called for a fare to Basildon. The Receptionist confirmed that they had logged my taxi 25 minutes before the second fare which was also waiting. The Taxi driver asked me to exit the car as the other fare was "worth more money to him" and that he didn't work for Andrews Taxis, saying "I am self employed". The person waiting for his taxi said that he knew I was waiting before him and that he would happily wait for the next one. The driver however said no I need to get out of the taxi. This is the most appalling treatment I could expect from a taxi company. Andrews Taxi's obviously do not care about the reputation of their business or the conduct of their drivers. Before placing this review online (placed at 3:59), I called Andrews Taxi to speak with a manager at 10am. They took my details and said someone would call me straight back. 6 hours later and still no call but based on the experience today, I am not surprised. Have told my daughters not to use this firm especially with unprofessional drivers such as the one I had the unfortunate business of meeting. Avoid if you possibly can. read more

I booked a taxi on Saturday evening that was estimated 15-20 minutes pick up time,after calling them back my taxi finally turned up after 55 minutes. I booked a return taxi and after calling them 10 times over a period of 1 hour with no answer I had to arrange alternative transport. The service is outrageous! I advise you to use an alternative company. It's no wonder Uber thrive when local taxi companies can't provide a service that customers can rely upon. Called for a taxi to collect my family and I from Heathrow to home in westcliff the following day. They wanted me to come to the office to pay in person. I explained that I was abroad so please could I pay online or by bank transfer. They said no! Who in this day and age does not accept card payments over the phone or transfer! They wanted me to get someone to go to their office on my behalf to pay for the fare?! So rude and unhelpful on the phone all I got was 'it's our policy'. Thankfully I found a 21st century company who allowed me to book and pay online in around 30 seconds and he was there to collect me on time. Job done. Never bother using this company. Taxi booked over a week in advance for a drop off to Southend airport. Taxi never showed and when contacted, stated they had no booking in their system, despite a confirmation email being sent. There excuse was they had changed their operating system, have they never heard of backing up current system and then if needed, manually re-enter any bookings that had not migrated over to the new system. read more

Do not use, totally unreliable. Ordered cab a week in advance, checked booking that morning, only for taxi to not bother turning up that evening. I don't know why they bother with a booking system. I will never use again. read more

I always ring Andrews Taxi if I'm ever out at the weekend as generally they are the only one who will answer their phones during unsociable hours (when the pubs and clubs kick out for instance). Their taxis arrive quickly and will call you when they are outside which is handy as you don't have to constantly peer through the curtains to see if they are outside. The drivers have all been friendly enough although some are more chatty than others. read more

From Rayleigh TO Southend Airport on the 11th June the fair was a reasonable £15.00 with Bestax. Returning on Sunday 19 th June Andrews Taxis charged £19.00 for the same journey. With a very rude condensiding driver, he not only took the longest route after we suggested the shorter way but, was most rude about the address we live. He said " oh yes we know that address we (meaning other Andrews Drivers we call it Gods waiting room" Now, as he was not far off of the 55years age group needed to live here I think he needs to be more careful in his choice of conversation with fare paying customers read more

Andrews Taxis have gone right downhill. After midnight no-one answers the phone as regularly experienced by myself. Now my daughter cannot get a taxi in Rochford at 01:30 because Andrews won't answer the phone. read more
