ordered a cab using the auto system was told cab is on its way, 30 mins later no cab, phoned again rang for ages no answer, when they did answer got cut off, so phoned again once again ring ring ring, finally spoke to someone was then told it will be another 30 mins, 1 hour 10 mins still no cab gave up do not use them as the operator seems to have the serious hump when you complain read more

Unreliable never turn up on time even when booked over 24 hours before also lady on the phone is very rude she puts the phone down on you not very good customer service. When queried the cab being late she said it doesn't matter when it's booked only despatched when it's due to arrive so if the can is coming from Canvey to Benfleet it is going to be half an hour late minimum. Not good if you have an appointment or something booked. Cab company obviously not concerned that you could miss what you are going to it's disgusting. read more

Recommended this company by the bar that I was in. They sent a. Notification that the cab wa on way (not arrived). I went outside within 3 minutes and it was gone to a job on Wickford! I called the company back and the receptionist didn't even apologise just said she would send another if we wanted and suggested we wait outside. Not a company I would recommend to my 28 year old daughter that's for sure. read more

Terrible! DO NOT USE. I ordered a cab from near to Grove Wood School on 27th June 2015 at 22.41. Two drop offs in Southend-on-Sea and southchurch. Was told 15 mins. At 22.05 received a text to say taxi was arriving. 23.13 - no taxi. I called again, no answer . I sent a text message to the number that texted me. No reply. 23.16 - called - no answer 23.18 - called - no answer 23.21 - called - no answer 23.24 - called. Got an answer this time. She put the phone down on me. So, as I hadn't been drinking, I drove my friends home. 23.42 received a text to say taxi was arriving - a different one. I will never use this cab firm again. Disgraceful business. read more

Taxi driver was late causing me to be late and I just missed my train. This meant I had to sit around at the station for 20 minutes for the next train unnecessarily which was just plain annoying However I usually have good experiences with this company but this has put me off them all together read more

Decided to use Bestax for an airport run from Rayleigh to Stansted and had Gary as our driver. Was easy to book and we were picked up on time in the early hours of the morning and had good communication on returning, texting him when we were ready to be collected. My mother always uses Bestax to come home from Rayleigh centre to home and has never had a complaint about their services or fair prices. read more

Poor. There were six of us, all adults. We requested a six seater from Hullbridge to Rayleigh, but no minibuses being available we were told two cabs would be sent, - twice as much?? One turned up, the other turned up an hour later. Strangely this also happened on our return trip. We asked the first driver to wait for the second, he was not too happy and had to call the control to send a second car. We will certainly look for an alternative cab company wherever possible. read more

THE worst Taxi company we've ever had the displeasure of attempting to use who treat their customers in a disgraceful manner - if you have an important event that depends on getting there on time DO NOT USE this couldn't care less company. We (4 adults) paid out £800 to celebrate various milestone birthdays to go on a Steam Train trip from Southend to Norwich and of course the train wasn't going to wait for us so we booked TWELVE HOURS IN ADVANCE so that we would gaurantee getting a taxi and left our Mobile No in case of any problems to get us the 2 miles from Southend Victoria Station to Southend East on the C2C line and allowed 40 minutes to make that journey - THEY NEVER TURNED UP! When we started to panic after 20 minutes (with only 20 minutes left to get there) and called Bestax Office they just said "we're busy", no apology, couldn't care less and even said that our Booking was "Subject to availability" - WHAT??? That's why we booked them - so that we would 100% get a cab - utter disgraceful attitude? Meanwhile at least 5 EMPTY Bestax Taxis went past us and despite jumping in the road to try and stop them they wouldn't stop - that's how important our Booking was to Bestax!!! We waited another few minutes, had to book with another company and LUCKILY they came within 10 minutes - we got to the train station a mere EIGHT minutes before the train departed, extremely stressed out and angry which put the dampener on the first part of our day. So despite us building all that time into our journey their couldn't care less approach to us almost ruined our wonderful day out and cost us £800 worth of tickets. We emailed them to complain afterwards and guess what - not even the courtesy of a reply - this company DOES NOT give a damn about its customers or if their day is totally screwed up by their lack of customer service.
