The quality they deliver is uncommon, being that it's so good, and the crew is so experienced. I noticed they use a lot of new equipment too, and put a priority on safety, quality, and doing things correctly the first time. That meant a lot to me as a customer to know I wouldn't have to deal with breakdowns and excuses from using old and broken tools and gear. Start to finish, my job was done in three days. I can't say enough how happy I am with the finished product. They did a 20 x 25 brushed finish patio, and a 5 x 10 pad next to my garage. I couldn't get other companies to call me back, or worse, they'd show up and under-bid, and then expect a payment and to sign a contract on the spot. I asked them to remove and replace my sidewalk, they removed and raised it 4 inches which has changed my entire yard. They moved all of the mud and debris into my gravel driveway turning it into a mud hole flowing into my garage. In the middle of pouring the concrete they realized the sidewalk was too high to be able to close my storm door so they made a last minute adjustment, now I have a dip in my sidewalk. My shed doors won't open all the way. There is more but needless to say their attention to detail leaves a lot to be desired. Almost forgot, they ran out of concrete towards the end and had to order a new batch that started chipping in the first week. I have called dozens of times, texted and emailed with little to no response. I do not recommend Optimus Concrete.

However, the company as a whole seems to put their technicians in an unfair position, using outdated upselling tactics and presenting customers with excessive prices, unfair policies, and unlawful charges. I truly hope these technicians find employment with a better company. The service was supposed to include inspection and sweeping/cleaning. However, they claimed they couldn't perform the sweeping/cleaning due to a blockage and wanted to charge $295 per hour to "unblock" the chimney--without providing any estimate of how long it would take. Isn't clearing blockages part of the sweeping/cleaning service? Naturally, we declined. What's worse is the company then tried to charge us for services they didn't complete, citing transportation costs (a 20-minute drive from Pataskala to Gahanna). Let me be clear: I never agreed to pay for transportation, and I will not pay for services that were not performed. They could not provide any evidence of me agreeing to these additional charges. It seems they rely on customers not knowing their rights. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. Save your money and find a deal on Groupon instead!
