Dr. Mike has been a kind and caring doctor and has always listened to me. I also had a very good relationship with the dental hygienists Amy and Michelle. They were both very professional, caring and easy to communicate and deal with. When Amy was there I was going 3 times a year for cleaning and scaling. Amy mentioned that I take very good care of my teeth (I know I do) and that if I wanted I could cut my appointments down to twice a year. I've done this for a number of years now. On a visit in October I was told that Michelle was no longer there and that there was a new hygienist taking her place. On this visit she asked questions like what kind of toothbrush do I use? Do you floss your teeth? Do you drink tea or coffee? I thought this is a different line of questioning but I put it down to my being overly sensitive and a new hygienist getting used to a new patient. In April I was in again for another cleaning. The new hygienist asked me the same questions that she did on the last visit. I was getting rather annoyed at this point. After she finished the cleaning she informed me that she would be taking some pictures. When I asked why she had to take pictures, as she had not told me why, she informed me that my insurer wanted the pictures taken. I asked why? She told me that she had told my insurer she required more time to clean my teeth and that they had requested the pictures. After she took the pictures she told me that I should start scheduling my appointments for every 3 months. I informed her that this was not going to happen and felt it was completely unnecessary. Should she not have discussed this with me before going to the insurer to request a quote for the additional service? I am a senior and I may not be as tolerant as I used to be. However, I just feel that this situation was not handled particularly well and left me feeling somewhat like a recalcitrant child who is incapable of understanding what my needs are. Life is too short for this sort of nonsense. I did not like feeling stressed as I did when I left after my last appointment. The dentist has been great but I'm uncomfortable dealing with his hygienist.

I was nervous going but calmed down very quickly, all his staff are pleasant and friendly, he is very skilled and I quickly trusted him. I have been in for a few fillings even, and the experience has never been traumatic, I never had any pain, and in fact the last time was almost fun (he and his hygenist were joking around while doing my filling, and i ended up staying after and chatting with staff for a bit). I highly recommend him to everyone, especially if dentist anxiety has been keeping you away from having a dental check up.

this is practice is no longer owned by dan and anca catona. anca was my dentist and i can boldly…read moresay she was the best dentist i've ever had. but...... beware !!!!! now it is owned by dr. bakhshi and dr. hajipoor. i had a cleaning scheduled, prior to them takng it over so i thought i'd see how it was now. they dont look at your teeth, they look at how much money they can get out of you. i havent had a filling in years. i was told by hajipoor that i needed two fillings, also, to change my cleaning to every 4 months (as opposed to my current 6 months) and because i had two fillings on one tooth (never ever been an issue before) she wanted to give me a crown. i said "absolutley no thank you" the last crown i had resulted in loosing that tooth. so if 3 other dentists didnt recommend it for this one, and ive never had a problem, then the answer remains "no" then one day at work i got a voice mail message saying that my wifes medical for the crown was approved and they needed my medical to proceed. i was not happy !!!!! they did the same for my wife by pre-approving a night guard even though she didn't want one. even after me letting the receptionist know that i did not approve of them disregarding my decision and going behind my back, i have still not received an apology or callback from the dentist. the business licence on the wall is expired and the website is out of date which shows you where their focus is at.$$$$.... even when i sat in the waiting area i heard two other patients being told "we want to change you to a 4 month cleaning". so i'm in the middle of joining a new dentist, and the new receptionist said to me "oh, we've already had a few new patients join us who have recently left that place". guess i'm not the only one.........

Nurses don't know how to operate the glitchy cumbersome x-ray machine and had to irradiate me twice with x-rays while putting me in a very awkward position. I have to pay out of my pocket for this oral pathologist appt who said the scar is result of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which clearly indicates it is post that visit , but my question. is how would I get scar on my face when the treatment is inside my mouth to fix the cavity .
