His prices are extremely reasonable and he's an all around lovely man who treats his customers like gold. This shop accepts only Cash and a small deposit when you leave your items. He's closed on Saturdays and does go to lunch during the week, so don't stress if you arrive midday and there's a sign up that he'll be back in 15 minutes. Boots should be above or below the knee & these boots were awkwardly laying on the center of my knees. I brought my boots in to this store to cut them shorter and to narrow them a bit. Boris explained that we couldn't make them more narrow because they don't have a zipper & all the stitching was done internally. I'm glad he didn't try to do something that would ruin my boots just to make extra money. He was able to shorten the boots and they now look custom made for me. His work is of high quality. Please see pics. He is also a craftsman. Boris makes his own high quality knock off designer & artsy bags using only the finest leather. I consider myself to be extremely lucky to bump into his store. Boris now has a customer for life. I'm so glad he was able to do me the favor and have them ready for me the next day so I could bring them on vacation with me.

The first was for my Maid of Honor dress for my sisters wedding. He made the dress really look the best it possibly could've and stayed in contact with me during the process. Could not have been happier with the way the dress fit in the end. The second time I saw Mark was equally as wonderful for a very different reason. I brought in a formal dress that I thought was too short and needed to be made into cocktail length. He saw me on short notice and fit me into a busy day. Once I got there and tried on the dress, he convinced me the dress was beautiful just as it was, even forgoing a paycheck for what he thought looked best. That's someone who cares more about making his clients look good than making money. Very hard to find in nyc. End of the day, mark is a talented, communicative, and detailed tailor but more importantly, he's an ethical and kind business man who'll do anything to make his clients look good. He contacted me today around 1 PM and asked that I come in to get them; the results were beautiful and I've never been happier with tailoring before.
