Don't go there. Very bad service. The guy doesn't care that you are his customer. Very rude also. Avoid as you can.

The meat options were great--there was beef, pork, chicken, and pineapple options. Nothing was overly salty, and they were happy to take requests. If you liked something and haven't seen it come around again, don't be shy about asking a waiter. My dad wanted the beef ribs with the bone, and our waiter had no problem bringing one out. Only the cheese bread is brought to the table now. The plantains and fried polenta are at the salad bar, which was okay and had a decent variety of options. All of the waiters were amazing, and my water glass was never empty. I was foolish and forgot to ask for chimichurri sauce, so definitely don't make that mistake. Save room for dessert--the peanut butter thing is amazing. Silly name, but it's really great.

Overall, Espetus was just okay for me. They offer a great variety of meats, including picanha,…read morewhich I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately, I found most of the meats to be quite bland and lacking flavor. The beef ribs, on the other hand, were the complete opposite--they were way too salty. It felt like there wasn't much middle ground. I even tried adding hot sauce, hoping it would give the meat the kick I was looking for, but it still didn't do much for me. The surprise highlight of the meal was the chicken wings. They were incredibly tender and flavorful inside and out. I also really enjoyed the grilled pineapple--it was perfectly sweet and delicious. The salad bar was decent with a good selection, but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that really stood out, though, was the staff. They were amazing--friendly, attentive, and constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Their excellent service definitely made the experience more enjoyable. Overall, the experience didn't quite live up to my expectations, especially considering all the praise the restaurant gets. While I loved the chicken wings, grilled pineapple, and outstanding service, I wish the signature meats had more balanced seasoning and flavor. Given the price, I expected the quality and taste of the food to match the cost. For a premium dining experience, the food should leave you feeling completely satisfied, and unfortunately, it fell short of that for me.

Best Brazilian steakhouse in the Bay. Hands down. Skip Fogo de Chao cuz it doesn't come close…read more Here's the rundown: you're seated, greeted with fresh cheese bread, order your drinks, take a lap around the salad bar, and then it's off to the races. Once you flip that coaster to green, the parade of meat begins. At around $80 per person before tax and tip, you'll absolutely get your money's worth. The ambiance was excellent. Live piano music set the mood without being overpowering, the lighting was just right, and there was never an awkward bottleneck at the salad bar. Everything felt well organized, which made the experience surprisingly relaxed for such a busy restaurant at peak dinnertime. Now for the important part: the food. They started us off with their gold foil-wrapped tableside top sirloin. A little gimmicky? Sure. But it was delicious and made for a great benchmark against the rest of the meats. One thing I really appreciated was the lack of "filler meats." I genuinely enjoyed almost every cut that came around. A few were slightly salty, and a couple leaned a bit tough, but overall the quality was consistently high. Ironically the servers walking with the filler stuff were the friendliest of the staff and never pressured you to get them (grilled cheese, pork sausage, chicken, etc) Over the course of the meal I had filet mignon, several varieties of top and bottom sirloin, beef ribs, lamb chops, multiple picanha preparations, and even shrimp. I counted 16 servings of meat--probably somewhere around 2,000 calories if I had to guess. Surprisingly, my favorite item wasn't even the beef, it was the grilled pineapple. Juicy, perfectly glazed, warm, and just sweet enough to reset your palate between heavier cuts. I went back for seconds without hesitation. Hell at the end of dinner, it made me crave pineapple juice. Do not sleep on this. As for the meats, the beef ribs, spicy picanha, and bottom sirloin were the standouts: incredibly tender, flavorful, and worth saving room for. By the end I was so full that dessert wasn't even a consideration. I don't see myself coming here every month, but it's one of those dining experiences everyone should try at least once. If you're celebrating something or just want to spend two hours eating an unreasonable amount of excellent meat, this is the place to do it. 4/5 for food, rounding up for attentive service and fun experience. Would recommend.

I saw an Instagram ad for half off the rodizio experience on Memorial Day and had to make a…read morereservation. Matt had been talking about Brazilian steakhouse every time he saw something that reminded him remotely of Fogo de Chao, so I figured this opportunity might be of interest to him. Come to find out that the day after I make the reservation he asks if I'd be willing to go a Brazilian steakhouse for the long weekend, so I got to surprise him with the fact that I already had a reservation. I'm not the biggest fan of Fogo de Chao based on my prior experiences there. I do believe that I have been to a Show de Carnes location before and had another great experience, but also Show de Carnes's Memorial Day promotion was slightly better than Fogo's and I much preferred that their location was outside of the city even if on the other side of the bridge. I did have to call the morning of to delay our reservation slightly, but it was taken care of for us without hassle. We even got seated closer to the original reservation time when we ended up running early. There isn't much space to wait in the front lobby area especially on a packed night, but everything looks very upscale from the wine bottles on the wall to the crystals above the self-serve side buffet. As far as mandatory meats, I have a couple of personal rules when it comes to Brazilian steakhouse, including go light on the sides and only go for the beef. Picanha is my favorite, extra rare too, so I made myself a whole pincanha meat salad while probably giving the guy cutting the meat a good scare. The grilled pineapple is also a must, followed by the cheese and honey. Matt got a lot more variety but it takes a while for the guys to come around with meat that has already been sliced up some so I can get to the parts that I like. We got a papaya cream and passion fruit mousse for dessert, which we probably really didn't need but enjoyed thoroughly as we are both dessert people. As it was a busy night, it was not too easy to flag a server down. I saw picanhas skip our table left and right so I'm not sure there's an established route for them to bring the meat around. The staff did seem to work together with great teamwork, and someone always stopped by to make sure we had more water and our choice of sides. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone that is a protein or all you can eat fan. The regular price per person is definitely steep in my humble opinion, but if you can catch a promo it'll be a great time. Also, don't choose between still or sparkling, ask for tap. I will not be getting got again next time.
