Awful Dentist. I had an implant in upper, middle tooth and a filing in the bottom back that had to be fixed by another dentist since it was so badly done by Andrea Smith. Earlier, she offloaded me and my family to another dentist she hired in her office but never had the decency to tell me prior to this happening. I have waited in her office 3 times for over an hour past the appointment time in the span of two months. All three times the office stated they had to deal with other dental emergencies. Yeah, right. What a crock of crap. One of my adult children was told by her office that they would have to pay for the entire dental care and contact Delta Dental for reimbursement. Never in my life has a dental office told my family to get reimbursed by a dental insurance company instead of the office clearing the charges prior to work being done. It would appear this office is trying to overcharge customers by circumventing the insurance approval process. I would avoid this dentist. read more

It's really good that you can only virtually connect with this woman she is by far the worst dentist I've ever been to in my life and I'm 64 years old. I went to her for mini implants and it turned into a four year nightmare. She didn't know what she was doing she pulled out all of my teeth and basically put sticks in my mouth and glued the teeth to it. I went to other dentist to fix it they didn't even wanna touch me because they said she had created such a mess there were implants in my sinuses she had cut chunks out of my gum the whole experience had me suicidal. Do yourself a huge favor and run a background check on her and you will see how scandalous she actually is. She's been sued and she never pays up I turned it over to The dental board they found her in the wrong but she still practicing. Beware and do your research. read more

Dr. Andrea Smith is a wonderful dentist. I began to have tooth pain on Monday, October 19, 2015 I am a stubborn person and finally decided to call when I could not sleep because of the pain. So I contact Dr. Smith's office on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Dr. Smith immediately prescribed me medicine and sent it to my pharmacy. The pain continued to bother me and I called around looking for a 24 hour dentist and could not find a place. But for someone reason I called Dr. Smith's office at 2:00am in the morning crying because of the pain. Dr. Smith returned my phone call at 6:00am and she told me she would squeeze me in for a Saturday appointment. I had other engagement and could not stay long for this appointment but for consult, x-rays and Dr. Smith scheduled me for as soon as I was available which was Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Dr. Smith was able to diagnosis I needed a root canal. She was able to begin the process and numb me up with nova cane. I cannot stand to have nova cane but she was patient and made me feel comfortable. She advised me that she may need to refer me out to a specialist depending on the tooth. I advised Dr. Smith if she would not do it I was not GOING ANYWHERE! She smiled and made me feel so comfortable. It is truly hard to find a quality dentist who is caring and thoughtful with their patients. I am not the easies patient to have between the 2:00am calls and repeated call to Amanda, the receptionist they may not realize the have a loyal customer. Thank you Dr. Smith. read more

I lost my upper teeth in an accident in my 30's and it was truly one of the worst things I've been through. I had a bad experience a few years back and I was worried that implants were just not going to be an option for me. I was convinced that I would just wear a denture for the rest of my life. I met Dr. Smith after seeing an ad on TV. She took care to ensure that I was a good candidate then explained the process to me thoroughly before I made my decision. The staff helped me figure out the best treatment plan for me based on my needs and my wallet. A full replacement of my upper teeth was more expensive than I really wanted to pay but once I compared the cost of mini implants to regular implants, I was convinced it was worth it. I decided on the nicest material because I really wanted them to look natural and stay with me for a long time. The process wasn't perfectly easy, there was some problems with my temporary bite and it caused some extra visits. My temporary broke on Christmas Eve and I called the answering service. Someone met me at the office within 30 minutes and spent hours fixing my temporary and ensuring that I could eat Christmas dinner with my family. It was a huge deal to me. I chose sedation for the initial procedure and it was way easier than I thought it would be. Pain was minimal after the procedure was done on Saturday I was back at work on Monday. After about 6 weeks from the start I have the kind of teeth that people notice and make comments about. Teeth that I can actually eat with. I am so proud of my new smile and I actually open my mouth to talk. Anyone can write a review about their dentist but Its impossible for me to express exactly what this process has done for me and how well I have been treated by everyone at Dr. Smith's office. I still get emotional just thinking about where I started and where I am now after just a couple of months. I know this is your business but my wife and I will never forget what you have done for us. Everything was fine until right after getting a few implants in my back upper teeth my voice suddenly changed for the worse. Being that I make my living talking on the phone, I was/am very concerned. I sound very nasally(its awful). So I went back in and spoke with Dr Smith, who also seemed genuinely concerned as well. She took some new xrays and told me that she would speak with her colleagues and then call me. Two months later still no call. I went back in and she was at lunch, so 4 hours later I receive a text message from her receptionist telling me that the doctor had nothing to do with my voice disorder. She didnt even have the courtesy to call me as a professional should have! Her office receptionist. It just happened the exact same time that I got my implants. I will be seeing an attorney and after going to 2 other dentists to get their professional opinions, they both stated that the implants were placed incorrectly and yes they have affected my voice. I feel inclined to write a review because I love Dr. Joy and her entire office staff. 2 weeks ago I was flossing and accidently pulled my crown out. I called first thing in the morning and unfortunately Dr. Was out of town but the dental assistants were still there. I have a 2 year old and they said bring him too. I didn't have to find a baby sitter. They are such heart warming people and I trusted them to watch my little one so i could get xrays and while my temp seal was placed in. The downside was waiting for another appointment, but I didn't expect Dr to fly back from Florida for little ol me. But I don't know of ANY place where they care to provide a quick baby sitting session either. In winter 2014 I was flossing and pulled out a crown on my front tooth. The office staff wasn't having me look like a toothless person so they took me in right away. All my crowns that were pulled out were done by another dentist and NOT Dr joy. So this one in particular was cracked and we replaced it. Simple and easy. Just not easy on the pocket, but that's not her fault. Dr joy was a life saver back in sept 2012 when I had severe tooth pain that turned into an infection. I was not a patient at the time but was referred by a patient to go there. She didn't hassle me about money or anything. She told me a flat rate of $400. I paid the $400 out of pocket for an extraction. Other places told me $600-$800. That was the best price I could get and I had zero dental insurance. I feel like the way I was treated was so well. We did followup appointments as too. Never charged me a cent more. Once I had a job that offered insurance in 20I3 I jumped on the Dr joy bandwagon and haven't looked back. I recommend her to any one. Thank you so much and Julian (my 2 year old) had a great time with the office ladies so thank you all again. See you in January for a dental cleaning and dental work on the surprise cavity we found. So I love Dr. Smith. She is fantastic. Very professional, thorough and friendly. However, it is very frustrating when I am seen late at every appointment. And I am not talking about 10-15 minutes. I am still sitting in the waiting room 32 minutes past my scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, this is extremely typical. And while I try very hard to be understanding in the sense that things happen and sometimes schedules get a little off, this again is not abnormal. This is the 4th time in a year I have been seen and every single time I am waiting well after my scheduled appointment. It at some point starts to feel like there is a lack of respect for our time. A lot of ya are parents and work full time, having to take 2 hours at the dentist for what should be a 45 minute appointment is very frustrating. read more

Are you afraid of going to the dentist? I was! However, now that I have been going to see Dr. Smith and her AMAZING staff, I no longer feel fear about the dentist. Let's start at front desk...Amanda is the simply wonderful. She always has a smile on her face and listens to you. She works hard to let you know exactly what your insurance covers and answers any questions you have. ALSO...I recently had a pain and called on a Sunday night. Left a message with the after hours staff on Labor Day weekend. Just an hour later, I received a personal call from Amanda asking what my symptoms were. She got a hold of the Dr. and together they were able to send a prescription to my preferred pharmacy on a day that they were scheduled to be closed. TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The names of all the ladies in the rooms have seemed to leave my memory, but I can assure you that they are the sweetest and more caring dental assistants you can possible imagine. Knowing my fears, they all go very slow with me and continually ask how I can feeling. If I have major dental work to be done, I go under sedation. These ladies take exquisite care of me and even give me ear phones to listen to the Backstreet Boys! (A childhood favorite) Now to Dr. Smith...this woman has been my hero. She takes her time with patients. I have been in the office, with countless patients, but she takes her time with each and every one. She understands you and praises you when you are handling things well. Sometimes, you just need to be told everything is ok and she does this. I know nobody is perfect, but when it comes to being a dentist...she is as close as you can get. I have referred, my mom, my aunt, two co-workers and countless people to come. I simply cannot afford to have to try to 'fix' any of my teeth, for the ones that are left are incredibly fragile and there are not that many left at all. If you want to pay for the work to be done by ANYONE at Western Dental, I'll be more than happy to go. But you, however, are not coming near my teeth again. Even United Healthcare reimbursed me because they found that your office billed for one of the caps to my first insurance, Delta Dental and again to United Healthcare.
