When I arrived for my appointment the front desk lady appeared bothered that I was even there and when I expressed that I was frustrated that I had just driven a long distance, just to find out they didn't successfully schedule my appointment she didn't even say "im so sorry, let's try to figure something out" (You know, basic costumer service skills) I mean if I did this at my job I would be fired. Then when no solution was reached I said well I guess this is all the meet and greet I need and she said Sorrrrryyy in the most cynical way. I mean that was just the cherry on top. I understand that healthcare workers are under pressure right now but as a nurse myself, even on my hardest days I NEVER talk down to my patients or treat them badly. EVER. so I will never excuse that kind of behavior . In conclusion, the front desk is incompetent and rude and if I were the business owner of this establishment I would be livid if my front desk staff was driving away clients. I will not be back. When I called for an appointment I was told the initial consult would be $150 and I was told that…read moremy insurance would probably cover it. I met with a PA for around 10 minutes. Two months later, I get an email that my "card on file" was going to be charged $211. Long story short, they did bill my insurance for the office visit, but they billed for $374, more than double what I was told! If I'd known they were going to price gouge the insurance company, I would have saved money by paying cash. They also blamed ME for not checking with my insurance on how much they would cover for this ($150) office visit, but I was never told they would be actually be submitting a charge of over 100% more. Also, the email said my card would be charged in 5 days. Don't we have 30 days to pay a bill?? I called billing to say I didn't recall giving permission for my card to be charged at will, and I would prefer a bill. I was told they must charge the card I showed upon registration. The only reason I've given them 1 star is because the PA I met with has helped me to feel the best I have in years, but I need to find a facility that has a little more integrity and transparency with fees. DON'T TRUST THE COST THEY GIVE YOU AND GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING.

In January of 2025, I decided to start my medical gender transition. I asked for a referral and got on hormone replacement therapy. 3 months later, Intermountain health dropped all gender affirming care for everyone, including referrals to other clinics who do it. with no warning, I got a letter in the mail. they have handled everything my family needed very poorly, including diagnosing too quickly, and refusing to assist in multiple ways that I have not mentioned. I will never be going to another clinic, ER, or hospital associated with Intermountain health again.

I requested Avista to fix the codes on my account a few times and even delivered a hand written letter mentioning the same, they failed to fix the issue. I called them several times and left messages, they failed to return my calls. My insurance company called them several times and their office couldn't be reached. I am not sure why it is so hard to reach this company over the phone. Despite the bad billing experience, I did really like my doctor and the nurses. I am just not sure what happened when it came to the actual billing part. At this point, I have to pay my entire bill (close to $800) as my insurance can't do anything.

I was hoping to have a VBAC after having a traumatic c-section experience last time. I would not have achieved the VBAC had it not been for the incredible midwives advocacy for me and support of my goal. Virginia and Lorell were so supportive and attentive to my questions and concerns. We had some complications immediately after delivery and Lorell's professional and calm leadership made the whole experience feel so positive still. I would recommend the midwives to everyone! The only downside I experienced was that it was occasionally hard to get ahold of the front desk by phone. However, everyone in the office was friendly and helpful including the front desk staff, the MA's, and the ultrasound techs.
