I landed back in NY after being gone for 5 months and suffered the worst migraine of my life. Best chiropractors in Astoria, hands down! Dr Farah puts his hands on you and can feel into your issues like some cosmic bone whisperer. Dr Steve is great too but he's there more to pretty up the joint... Dr Sophia is by far the best acupuncturist EVER!! Great PT, trigger point, massage. My first time with a Chiro! I can't believe I put it off for as long as I have. Came out feeling better than any deep massage that I've ever had. I totally recommend to anyone. And Dr Farah and his office crew are all great. First thing I noticed while waiting, all his patients coming out were all happy and appreciative and were even giving gifts to the workers! Honestly I've never seen anyone do that for their doctor and least of all its staff! So that impressed me as to the character of the Doctor and his worker. They're all quite personable and friendly and there's a vibe of family and fun! So its a good positive energy coming in and out. Going back for repeat visits because I realize one session is not going to be enough to reverse years of bad habits and neglect on myself! My only wish is that they were open more days and later hours to be more accessible. Will be difficult to leave work early every week just to get an adjustment! :( read more

Dr. Farah is awesome. And I mean that in the Awe Inspiring kinda way. I called him on a Saturday for a bad pinched disc in my neck, and while he wasn't available on the weekend, he came in early to work on me on Monday morning. He's funny, very skilled as a practitioner, obviously knowledgable about what's happening, especially since I was in pain and panicked about that. He told me straight out that what he was abe to do wasn't a magic wand, and these things heal slowly. No magic or hocus pocus, which is usually what keeps me away from "alternative therapies". And he told me that as soon as I went back to work and repeated the thing that I do all day, it would hurt again. Sure enough, he was right, and I was back in his office this afternoon. Even with a packed house, he took a LOT of time with me, and told me to come back again THAT DAY to make sure he did everything he could for me. He's got hands like a bear, a great demeanor, a lovely staff, and seems to be able to joke with everyone who comes in the door, even the ones in obvious pain. Went into my weekend warrior status and finished with shooting pain down my neck to my left arm every time i moved my head a certain direction. Knew i had to do something about it. Opened up trusty Yelp and boy did this website help me. Mr. Farah. he is exactly what you want in a chiropractor! Knows his stuff, experienced, thoughtful and gives you a genuine sense that he is focused on the solution AND the origin to help you prevent it from reoccurring. Bottom Line: I went in without an appointment and could barely walk. Within an hour I left walking straight without pain. Nuff said.

I woke up with awful neck pain (so bad that I could barely get out of bed), and Dr. Farah fit me in immediately that morning. The receptionist was really nice and even remembered me the next day when I called to reschedule an appointment. They remember details about past conversations and ask about them when you see them. They have helped my migraines and sciatica tremendously. This review has to do with the customer service on the phone and has nothing to do with the services that Dr. Farah gives as a doctor, he is amazing! all of his staff is amazing! His chiropractic services and masseuse services are great but this one has to do with the phone representative PILAR that I spoke on the phone. I called just to let them know that I change my insurance and she's not friendly on the phone she asked me for my name and then she asked "what do you want" which is not appropriate on the phone especially to past clients' and I asked to get the cash prices since they don't take my insurance and I asked how much for the masseuse services and she didn't know what that was so I had to explain the massage then she gave me the prices for everything I think we have to reevaluate who answers the phones I wish it was I spoke to Maria because Maria is great read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Farah and his staff. Everyone at the office is extremely helpful and kind - it's always surprisingly fun to go for an adjustment. My first time at chiropractor. I came with a lower back pain. I couldn't even get up from my bed without a pain ...Doctor Kostas Sclavos started my treatment with 15 min e-stim and after that he aligned my neck and back. .... I could hear he cracked bunch of bones in my back and neck area. But It wasn't really as painful as it sounded . I really needed it. Feel so much better now. $60 well spent. I just went for my first ever Chiropractic visit - so maybe they're all this good? I can say I took an Uber cab the 10 or so blocks to get to Dr. Farah's office - and I very nearly skipped my way back home. He did a great job of explaining what he was doing, what had gone wrong, and he joked about how he would probably never see me again since he was going to fix the problem once and for all. (Of course, that's particular to my actual problem here, others will not be so lucky). I can't speak to any other Chiropractors, since I've never been to them. But this visit was absolutely top-notch and I came in there feeling like garbage, and left feeling like a million bucks. That is 1000% worth it in my book. read more

I mean I had my first session today and I can honestly say this guy truly deserves all his 5 star reviews, if anything Dr. Farah deserves more! His humor + carefree attitude makes your session even more enjoyable (on top of feeling 100% better!). Yes, being put in weird positions can be awkward but he makes you feel very comfortable. He responds quickly via email, but had forgotten to check my insurance so I had to follow up. Not a big deal at all, but he greeted me w/ a "glad to finally get you in here!" high five, I'm loving his bedside manner already! He really knows different needs of different athletes & dancers. I'm a dancer, and he even took the time to me show me the movements that affect you per style of dance. He truly took his time, I didn't feel rushed. I arrived a little late because I had underestimated my time to get to his office. His front staff was understanding and nice. He has very flexible payment plans from what I've seen. I called at approx. 11 am on Jan 20th . A friend found me this information because I moved to Queens only a few months ago and was seeking a massage and or a chiro visit close by . I took the day out of work because of my dire pain . I spoke to a receptionist explained my issue . She seemed nice , at the time. She asked if I had insurance , and I told her it was cigna ...I also mentioned Im not sure it will be covered so Id like to know how much anyway. She said she would call me back in 20 minutes .I then asked "don 't you want my name ? " she said " No , I have your insurance information that's all I need. Well 20 minutes came and went and I was in agony ... hours went by so I called up to get a machine . I waited for another little while and then left a message that went something like " Well my name is and I called at 11 am this morning its after 7pm this evening seems my insurance information wasn't acceptable to you there and I was completely blown off . I id ask for how much the visit would be but never even heard that . So whoever reads this unless your insurance is up to this guys standards you to maybe blown off by the receptionist /chiro. Be warned! Shocked me how an office that has people singing the praises would blow off a new client. its the 21st and I'm still in agony and will have to wait to go into work w my neckbrace to visit the chiro close to there. read more

I went to Dr. Farah after reading the other great reviews of him. I had a bad fall in April that left me with a possibly torn rotators cuff, and neck and shoulder pain. On top of that, I suffer from migraines and vertigo. I finally decided enough was enough and needed see a chiropractor. I went to Dr. Farah's office without an appointment and was seen shortly after arriving. He was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. He was extremely thorough in his explanation of what was going on with my body and what he was going to do for me. He performed an amazing adjustment that instantly made me feel so much better and then referred me to the massage therapist on staff. She was also amazing at what she does and explained everything and answered all my questions. I go back next week for more adjustments and massages, and may also be seeing the physical therapist on staff. It's like one stop shopping for all your body's needs! Bottom line- if you're in any type of pain, this is the place to go! They are warm, friendly and great at what they do, and they work with your insurance companies to give you the best care for the lowest cost to you!! read more

I can't speak more highly about him. He's such a caring healer. I see why he has a busy office, but not too busy where you don't get the exact attention you need. After the very first session, Dr. Farah made it bearable to stand, sit and walk again, and in a few weeks I was practically back to normal. I went to visit Dr Farah because a lot of dancer friends recommended him. Unfortunately his injured and Dr Gervasio is subbing for him. I cannot say a single good thing about this doctor! He spent like 15min with, 10 of them talking and me explaining what was wrong. He tried "cracking " me on 4 spots and that was it. He didn't explain anything and I only got some answers because I kept asking questions. Those answers being "I don't know". He was clueless. Has no idea what was wrong, he barely even looked at my body! I've been to many chiropractors before and they always start by taking a close look at your body to see if things are aligned etc.... Nothing. He just went straight to "cracking" the 2 spots I said hurt (which by the way didn't crack) Once he was finished I tried again to get some answer about what was wrong and it seems like a vertebrae is out of place. I asked if he had fix it, and he said no. He just recommended me to wait a couple weeks (even though I've had this for like 6-7 months). When I remind him of that he made a surprised look and said "I don't know". He also suggested I should not roll over my vertebrae (since thats what makes it hurt) despite knowing that that is impossible since I'm a professional dancer who has to perform. I guarantee you for every positive review you see here there are hundreds of satisfied patients who never write a review, I know because I am one of them, I have been going to him for emergencies and not so emergencies for years but never bothered to write. He really is great, knows what he is doing and can truly be a life savor. Most of all he is genuinely a kind and caring human being, for a health care professional that is truly priceless. The atmosphere in the office is so relax, so comfortable that it automatically lifts you up no matter how much pain you are in, and the person definitely walks out in better shape than they walk in.
