We were so disappointed by the condition of this hotel and the apparent attempt at repeatedly padding the room service and bar bills. We stayed for two weeks due to an insurance claim that left us without a livable home. We booked the suite because we both had to work from the room instead of out of our two home office. I must say that the valet, bellman and room service staff were exceptional, but I had to repeatedly ask for reverses on bills, rooms to be cleaned and more. Each time we ordered room service for breakfast we got more than we ordered or items were missing and were charged for it. I had to show management photos of issues for them to address it and though they put an english speaking person answering the phones, the double food and charging still continued. Austin, the server, had to repeatedly remove extra food, adjust bills, etc. The task of getting receipts was daunting and I had to ask management repeatedly to secure the room service bills to ensure that the credits were accurately billed. The bar needs to be watched as well. We are there twice for dinner and I order a glass of Pablo Rojas. When I checked the bill I was charge $24 instead of $18. When asked, the bartender stated that there were two on the menu. He never asked me which one wanted. This seems to be a common practice. The housekeeping was lacking. The room was infested with sugar ants and when I complained, I was told that they are difficult to manage because of the sugar on the coffee bar but did not rectify the issue. When we checked in I was walking the room with white socks and they ended up filthy.. I had to request that the floors be cleaned. There was also hair in the shower upon check in. We repeatedly had to request that our room be cleaned even though the assistant manager checked with me at check-in and we agreed that it would be cleaned every day at 10:15am. I never heard from him again. The coup-de-gras was our floor leaked and was getting the carpet wet. The first time I complained I was told that engineering has checked it out and that there were no pipes under the floor to create a problem. The carpet was left wet. I complained again and engineering came to our room twice again that evening and agreed that the floor was leaking, but they did not know from where. We lived with a wet carpet the entire time ( no shop-vac, carpet cleaning,). I had to ask management to replace our coffee cups with clean mugs instead of rinsing out and replacing. Housekeeping does not keep any clean glassware of mugs. They just rinse and return. I finally kept disposable cups and styrofoam coffee cups in the room....the sanitation is disgusting.

Before I went in, I spoke with Wes who owns the business along with his wife. Wes was very helpful and informed me of an upcoming event at the Loft where I can see the venue in person and get a tasting of caterer they work with - Potions and Motions (who were great). When I arrived for the event, Wes greeted me and gave me a tour of the venue. I was immediately impressed by the set up, light fixtures, and the flexibility of the space. What sold me was the flexibility, as we could bring in our own DJ, caterer, and valet. We of course went with Wes' recommendations who where amazing! On the night of the event, Wes and his wife worked with us with some last minute decoration changes and we are so grateful they did. Everything looked so elegant, even with our minimal decorations. Our holiday was a smash and we have to thank Wes and his wife. Wes helped me with DJ, catering, and valet vendors which made it so easy to plan our party.

There is a snack cafe on the way out to the gardens where you can purchase drinks & light food items. There is also a museum store and a theater inside the museum. I do recommend that you visit the museum as early as possible to have the best experience with fewer people and cooler temperatures. However, the real showstopper here is Roji-en (Garden of the Drips of Dew) - the 16 acre Japanese garden with over a mile of accessible walking paths to explore and enjoy. The original museum building (the Yamato-kan) measures approximately 2,000 square feet and is set inside the garden. There is a huge pond in the garden as well, and plenty of nooks and crannies to discover/ When driving into the museum grounds, you experience part of the 200-acre Morikami Park, which includes pine forests, nature trails, and picnic spaces. You can definitely continue to enjoy your day surrounded by nature in the park once you've toured the museum & garden. And there's bistro lights strung from the rafters so there's not much decorating you need to do! The space is a vintage gym and it has an upstairs that could be used for a cocktail reception if it were raining or if you have a large wedding. I believe the space holds up to 300 guests but our wedding was about 80 people which left lots of room for dancing! You are able to bring in all of your own stuff from a DJ to Catering to Alcohol which helps reduce costs. The space is white with light hardwoods and some teal accents. And it's obviously an old gym with basketball court lines on the hardwoods. Since there wasn't an event the day before ours, we were allowed to set up everything the day before so the day of the wedding wasn't stressful.

Completely unprofessional. Didn't have ANY cold drinks for my guests when they arrived at 2pm despite us dropping off all the beverages the day before. Yelling at guests, yelling at her own servers and bar tenders because she failed to get them ready for the event. She had no appetizers out during cocktail hour, my mother had to take her to the fridge to show her the appetizers that she BROUGHT TO HER that morning. Gave them to her directly yet she yelled at my mother saying we have no appetizers then didn't even apologize for being wrong. If she was a real woman of church she would have atleast offered some type of refund. Terrible place. Do not be like me and give her the benefit of the doubt, go elsewhere. He instantaneously knew what we needed and even what accessories I should wear from 1 inspiration photo and from my wedding dress. His enthusiasm about every detail is something every bride dreams about. He may have enjoyed this process more than I did and that's a hard thing to do because I breathed wedding details in every spare moment that I could for 14 months (I'm sure my then fiance loved this). I can't picture anyone except Skip and his terrific team at Daniel Events putting this event together and working alongside our wedding venue & planner to make this an event that we will never forget.
