I highly recommend Anderson Trophies! I needed a basketball trophy on a very short turnaround, and they came through when I needed it most. They were reliable, professional, and had great communication throughout the entire process. They made sure everything was taken care of quickly without sacrificing the quality of the trophy. read more

The facts: I had 5 items of anodized aluminum (approx 1.22"x1.62") that I wanted laser engraved (ablated, technically). Jon provided a quote and turnaround time via email within 24hrs of me inquiring. I dropped off my items on Friday, and they shipped them back to me the following Monday and I received them Tuesday. --- The good: Out of the 6 places I inquired with, Jon was the only one to provide an itemized quote ($8.95/item x 5 + $20 setup charge = $64.75) and a reasonable turnaround time (1-2 business days). The team even provided a layout for me to approve of the placement that closely matched how I designed it, to which I approved. The engraving marks themselves were crisp and clean. --- The bad: The items were offset left ~1mm and immediately noticeable upon receipt. I reply to the layout approval email to ask if being ~1mm set left was within tolerance and if there was anything I could have done to insure better alignment. The team did not respond to my email for over 24hrs. Potentially being lost in email threads, I added "quality/alignment question" into a follow up and this is the email thread: Jon: "We do not work with mm or cm. Our machines are not set up like that. So, outside items have a risk of possibly being off such a small fraction of an inch (0.0393701)." Me: "Noted. It would have been helpful to know the tolerances ahead of time to manage the expectations and design. I'm new to laser engraving and would appreciate advice on how I would be able to get more accurate alignments? Would additional templating help? I want to have more of this work done, potentially and want to make sure things are set up for better success on both our ends." Jon: "Hey Ellis, 1mm is such a small amount; all laser jobs could be at risk of that. It would not matter how the art is setup." --- Opinion: I wish I would have been informed of the tolerance they were comfortable in providing so I could determine if I approved of that. From what I gathered about laser engraving, getting a design aligned and centered on a rectangular item seems with reason. And, their layout led me to expect that's what they were going to deliver. Attached are photos of their layout I approved and what I got. I'll leave it to you, Yelpers and visitors, if you feel this is accurate enough for your purposes. As for me, I'll be exploring other services that can at least inform me of tolerances ahead of time and/or assure me of more accurate results. read more

I submitted an order for a plaque on May 25 that included adding a photo. On May 26, I received an email from the company stating that they do not print photos onsite and that I would need to provide a printed copy myself. Unfortunately, this information was never disclosed online prior to placing the order. Had that been clearly stated, I would have selected a different product from the beginning. I responded to the email explaining that this information was not available online and stated that I would instead like to order a different item. However, after sending my response, I received an email notifying me that my order had simply been canceled. There was no phone call, follow-up email, or attempt to ask what alternative item I would like to purchase. I then called the store and spoke with Jon. I explained that I felt the order was handled poorly and that a courtesy call or email should have been made before canceling the order, especially to discuss replacement options. During the conversation, Jon was dismissive and rude. When I asked to speak with a manager, he stated that he runs the store. I then asked for the owner's contact information, and he responded by saying, "That doesn't matter." As a returning customer, I found this interaction extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Rather than addressing my concerns, Jon repeatedly mentioned that he had worked for the company for 14 years, as though that excused the way I was treated. I value professionalism and customer service, especially when supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect either. I will be sharing my experience with coaching colleagues and others in my network so they are aware of how customers may be treated. read more

If I had a 10 star option I would Give them 10 stars. This place has the most important qualities - Good prices - Fast - Quality - Exceptional Customer Service I needed to order a plaque for my daughter who had earned her Girl Scout gold award and I wanted to have a plaque made to hang in the room. Well I contacted John and explained to him the urgency. He took care of me over the phone and had a sample emailed to me the next day. The ceremony was on Saturday and I was supposed to pick it up Friday. I wasn't able to go before they closed so I sent John a message asking if he would meet me there Saturday morning (they aren't open on Saturday's). He agreed to. I don't know too many people that would be willing to meet you on their day off. John is my hero. Since the Covid-19 situation is still a big problem, her ceremony was limited to her parents and her cousin. The look on her face when I have her the plaque is something I will never forget. THANK YOU JOHN!! You have no idea what that meant to her and our family!! read more

Always dependable and solid work!! Very good prices too. When you need a trophy or plaque this is your place!!

My go to for all trophies and awards. Jonathan has been a major help! Quick and reliable.

Pros: very communicative, friendly, and responsive HOWEVER There is no oversight in terms of quality control. Had a very small job, but each trophy had a glaring error - same names on all individual trophies, same date for several different years on a perpetual trophy. While I caught the individual ones before I left the store, I didn't notice the other errors on the perpetual trophy until after the event. They were able to correct the mistakes I caught on the spot, with the excuse that they were having difficulties with their engraver. But if that were the case, wouldn't a simple proofread before handing over to the customer be warranted? I won't be back. read more

Awesome! Jon was timely and the trophy was great. Came in for a fantasy football trophy, everyone in the league loved it. Thank you. read more

I have a traveling trophy for my fantasy football league that has been in use for close to a decade now. I had to pick up on some overdue engraving and brought them in to Jon to help with. Could not have been any easier to have done - took about a week for a batch of 6 plates, very cost effective, and look beautiful. I then had them modernize the old champion plates to match the new ones because they looked better. Cut the plates from scratch and matched perfectly. When we caught a typo of a missing word, Jon jumped from my asking if it was a typo or character count issue to emailing me back that he'd redone the plate correctly immediately. I didn't even ask! I thought the name was too long, but he took the initiative to come with a solution. Quick, communicative, super kind, and excellent work. Will now be my dedicated fantasy sport trophy provider, and recommended to all commissioners in the market! read more

Is there really any other trophy place in L.A.? Anderson Trophy is the best! I first learned about them through work. We order ribbons, medals, and trophies from them every year in large quantities-- 1,000+. The awards are always ready on time. Ken and his associates are great to work with. Thus, when I needed a trophy for a shenanigan, I went to them. Since it was a trophy that they had in stock and only needed to engrave, it was ready in a few minutes. Anderson Trophy - Engraved the winner's team name! - Trophy Shops Near Me - North Hollywood, California

I was looking for a particular present for my boyfriend's September birthday and found Anderson Trophy on Yelp. I walked in and was greeted by Manny, who worked with me on what they could do with what I needed; a crystal piece with song lyrics suspended inside. We talked for a bit and he showed me what they could do and I decided on a crystal piece with the engraved lyrics on the back. I paid a fair price and was informed they would send me an email with an attachment for approval and pending my approval the item would be ready in a week. Within a day I received an email, I approved the template at noon and within a few hours I was called that it was ready! Rushed down, was asked if I wanted to look at the item to ensure I was satisfied. I decided to forgo opening the box until I got in my car lol I should have just done it when asked because I was delighted to see how great it turned out! Great service, price and turnaround time! Thank you so much, Manny and Phil! read more

I was a potential customer but did not go through Anderson Trophy. I can't state enough how polite and accommodating I was to my rep (wait who is the customer - "nice gals finish last"). All I needed from the start was, "You know, we are just too busy to accommodate you." Or, "with out these specs or coming into store, I can't make what you want happen in your timeframe." Their good intention seemed "there" but I gave up on Dec 21st after back/forth unspecific communication since the 14th with nothing to show and time running out. Came here for small little name plates to put on picture frames. They beat the price of other places I called and their reviews were good so I came here. Parking was easy, they were friendly, responded to my emails and call regarding the order. However, they did get the order incorrect the first time, they used the wrong font. I had to wait an extra day to get the plates and then a few were misspelled and they had to correct them right there. Overall, price is good but I wouldn't come back. read more

On 11/29/12 I gave this place a 5 star review. Today changed all of that and I now have no intention of bringing my business back to Anderson. 10 years ago I bought a perpetual plaque at another trophy shop that has since closed up shop. 2 years ago, I came here when the former shop was closing and then again because I had had such great service to add more names to the plaque. They did this happily and for a very reasonable price. Today I went back in for the next entry on the perpetual plaque. None of the people I worked with in the past (Greg, Lacey) were there...I think they might be gone, as I did not see their business cards on display either. I was informed that a single entry lasered onto the perpetual plaque, something that takes roughly 15 minutes at the most, was going to be $15. In past years it was $10. I expressed my displeasure about the jump in price, and after consulting with her supervisor, the salesperson informed me that $15 was the new standard for people who buy their items elsewhere. Additionally, I was dismayed that as a regular customer who had a regular salesperson, that this shop chose to not contact repeat customers and let them know that their accounts had been taken over. It would have been nice to know that the personal touch that had once existed was still there. So basically because 10 years ago I went to a store that is no longer open, I get the privilege of paying more for a simple job. Instead of welcoming me as a returning customer, who, incidentally, will need the extension of the plaque really soon (meaning I am planning to spend more money), I was treated with disdain. Anderson Trophy will no longer be getting my business for any of the organizations with which I work and I will be looking forward to writing positive reviews on the place that I do find who understands what it means to welcome in customers who have the potential to come back time and time again. read more

I don't know how much I can say about a trophy store but I will do my best because I want this to be a constructive helpful review. First of all, this place is immaculate, so clean, what a great way to enter a store, you know they care about their business. Second, The staff is really nice, friendly and helpful. Third, It was so easy to get the trophy made that I wanted, they made it while I waited, I called a few days before to see if they had what I wanted, they didn't so they ordered the piece! Amazing! Overall, I had a great experience here and would and will recommend it to anyone I hear looking to have trophies made. read more

I was champion of my Fantasy Baseball League two years in a row. But this past year, I lost. Don't ask me how. Maybe like Icarus, I flew too close to the sun. But in any case, after the tears subsided, I needed to get our league trophy updated with the new champion's name added to the Champions' Plaque. Which meant, I needed to go to a trophy shop. And luckily enough, I stumbled onto greatness at the Anderson Trophy Company. I dealt with Yvette, who couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. When I explained I didn't live in the area, she was able to rush the job order to get it done while I went to lunch, so I wouldn't have to hit freeway traffic coming back later in the day to get it. The work they did on the trophy was top-notch. Very excited to present it to our new champion on draft day, his name engraved into the plaque as our 2012 champion. But watch your back, Andy. Sic Transit Gloria. I'm gunning for you in 2013. Fantasy Baseball jesting aside, I highly recommend Anderson Trophy Company. They've got a wide selection of offerings, fair prices, and their staff couldn't be friendlier. Any time I need anything trophy related, they've got my business! P.S. Some of the best Thai food in the L.A. Metropolitan Area is nearby, so if you have an hour or two to wait while Anderson Trophy works on something for you, Sri Siam Cafe, Sanam Luang Cafe, Krua Thai Restaurant, Swan Restaurant, and Bua Siam are all within a 10 minute drive.
