I highly recommend Sio who does amazing high quality tile work, is prompt, reliable and so easy to…read morework with. We had buckled inside tile next to our sliding glass door and lanai. Fortunately, the tile bucking was not due to water or moisture, but instead due to temperature changes between rainy/cool and sunny/hot over the 7 years since we installed it. Sio inspected on a Mon and was able to do the work that week Fri, Sat, Mon. Sio was really helpful advising me as I picked out tile and grout at Home Depot replying super fast to my texts. After pulling up the popped tile, Sio discovered that the tile was not properly glued to the concrete slab and the slab was very uneven. Sio ground down the slab until it was even. When he finished, you could have eaten off the slab! Sio laid and fixed he tile with thin set and returned Monday and grouted. He was able to preserve some of the existing tile, and the new tile matched really well. Most importantly, I'm confident that this won't happen again as Sio said "these tiles aren't going anywhere" and all the tiles are now rock solid! Thank you so much for your fantastic work Sio and I really enjoyed talked with you as well!

What a great contractor! Kurt Duval is the owner/operator of Duval Tile & Stone. Kurt is fully…read morelicensed and insured, and his company has been operating on Maui for over 17 years. Kurt's level of care and commitment is simply unparalleled, and his work shows the highest levels of experience and skill. He is very passionate about his work and a true artist in his field. Moreover, he is an extremely nice guy, and his rates are very competitive. Duval Tile & Stone recently tiled the entryway to our townhome in Wailea as well as a very large lanai in the back of our unit. When our unit was built in 2007, the cement pads laid by the builder were not level or "square", and over the years hairline cracks had developed in the cement. To ensure that the new porcelain tile that Kurt was installing for us would be level and resistent to developing cracks in the future, he had to do a significant amount of remedial work to level the cement pads and seal all existing cracks before laying any new tile. The best part about hiring Duval Tile & Stone is that the owner, Kurt Duval, actually does all of the tile work himself. Typically, you will only see the owner of a tile company two times: 1) when you get the initial bid, and 2) when you give him the final payment. That is definitely not the case with Kurt Duval. He is on the worksite EVERY DAY, doing all of the work himself. Why? Because he wants the job done right! Kurt's work ethic is truly amazing in this day and age! So, how did it all turn out? Well, Kurt did a wonderful job in installing all of the tiles. And, by the way, everyday he left the worksite neat and clean. Professionalism, integrity, and craftsmanship -- this is what Kurt Duval brings to the job. Needless to say, my wife and I are delighted with our new entryway and lanai, and we will definitely use Duval Tile & Stone for any future projects. We highly recommend Duval Tile & Stone!

I marveled at his conscientious and skillful approach to carefully prepare the surface before skillfully laying down the travertine tiles. He also remodeled our master bath. They were helpful, knowledgable, informative, and patient with me as I struggled between a couple of options. They were able at help me look for carpeting that fit my needs, without making me feel pushed - or like I was getting the hard sell. They were able to tell me what they had in stock, and for choices that were not readily available, how quickly these could be shipped to Hawaii. And...they were nice about everything...When I had questions about the process, they responded to my e-mails in a very timely manner. Paradise did not do the carpet installation themselves, but they were able to provide me with contact information for vendors that they had vetted and found to be reliable. This was very helpful - as the vendor I chose was one of their recommendations, and he was also very good.

We had a fantastic experience working with Lance from Paradise Flooring. From day one, he was…read moreresponsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We had originally been leaning toward LVP after seeing so many Instagram videos saying it was the way to go, but Lance suggested the Bravewood hardwood hybrid line -- and we're so glad he did. It wasn't something we had on our radar, but the quality and look ended up being exactly what we wanted. It's beautiful in person and feels really solid underfoot. Lance helped us lock in the right materials -- even securing low-stock items in advance -- and gave clear, honest insights into the differences between flooring types and carpet fibers. He also ordered samples for us right away so we could see everything in person, which made the decision process a lot easier. He even helped coordinate with our flooring installer, which saved us time and made the whole process feel more seamless. Lance was always on top of things -- following up, sharing timelines, and making sure we felt supported every step of the way. Even little details like stair nosing preferences were handled with care. Payment and logistics were smooth, and overall, Lance made what could have been a stressful part of the renovation feel really manageable. Highly recommend Lance and Paradise Flooring -- professional, easy to work with, and genuinely wants to help you make the best choice for your home. Mahalo again, Lance!
