I started off with the midwives at Feather River hospital. They were amazing and treated me with a lot of respect. Found out at 18 weeks I had placenta previa and was referred to Dr Anderson. She was the worst dr, no bed side manner. She came in the room no introduction and started tell me all the terrible things that was going to happen to me because I was high risk and had fibroid and previa. Making it all sound like this was for sure. Scared the hell out of me, then preceded to ask me if I wanted to keep the baby when I'm 5 months pregnant. Asking my boyfriend and I all kinds of personal question that had absolutely nothing to do with the baby. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. She made my whole experience at Feather River go down the toilet. read more

While performing a laparoscopic surgery to remove a cyst and ovary Dr. Anderson perforated my bowel. After the surgery she had told my boyfriend the surgery went well and that I would be fine. After two days of horrible pain and vomiting I called 911 and was told at Enloe I needed surgery ASAP or I would die. I spent 10 days in the hospital and had three more surgeries to fix Dr. Anderson's mistake and over 2 months to heal, though I was told I would have gastrointestinal problems for the rest of my life, I never once heard from Dr. Anderson to even check and see if I was ok. If you care about your life you will never go to this horribly uncaring and negligent doctor. read more

So let me just say she doesn't deserve the star rating I gave her that's for sure so anyways I was originally with the midwives and she was their over head Dr this was my first baby and they told me I had placinta previa so I needed to see her from then on out so idk what to expect every Dr appointment I would write down questions I had before hand she would always say she'll go over them next time always rushed me and seemed to still be nice at the appointments I just figured she was a very busy women due to being a Dr do I didn't think anything of it but she never switched me to bi weekly or even weekly appointments even though I was considered high risk and for my last appointment she scheduled me after my due date when I finally went in to give birth she wouldn't listen to me or follow my delivery plan I was on all fours and she said she refused to deliver my baby unless I laid on my back need I mind you my son was crowning and I had terrible back labor I had issues with my hips and I could barely stand to lay on my back normally and she said I needed to flip onto my back before she would help me so my mom husband sister and nurses helped me get flipped then she was yelling at my husband because he didn't agree with putting me through that and then every time I would push she was grabbing me and ripping me my sister who was in nursing school suggested she give me an episiotomy and she snapped at my sister and said I'm the fucking Dr here I know what the fuck I'm doing here and after it was said and done and my son was born she didn't warn me that she was going to be poking me with a needle down there and I jumped she snapped at me and started yelling that I need to sit still and not be such a baby then when I asked how many stitches she gave me she said she didn't know I most definitely will never ever ever go to see this women I found a different Dr to go to for my 6 week check up PS this was in August 2012 read more

If I could give negative i would. For the health of you and your child stay as far away from this doctor as possible. told me at 8 weeks pregnant i was going to have a big baby and would need to be induced. she based this on bmi. also acted like i would for sure have diabetes if i didnt already have it and my blood work stated i was actually at a decreased risk for it. told me i needed to go to a nutritionist to learn how to eat. i've counted my calories my whole life, i walk 5 miles a day and i'm a vegetarian who doesn't eat anything over 30% fat. this doctor is a quack and needs to learn that health cannot be based on bmi. i started with the midwives which were great but this dr oversees them and inserted herself into my healthcare. i have found a normal doctor and i advise you to do the same. i've never heard of telling an 8 week pregnant woman she needs to be induced based on bmi. read more

I needed an ob-gyn and Dr. Anderson took my health insurance so I made an appointment with her for a pap and check up. I wasn't very impressed and decided I probably wouldn't go back to her. She was very rushed, not at all personable, and had zero bedside manner. She had about as much personality as a boiled potato. She left me to change into a gown and came bursting back into the room a minute later without knocking, she didn't ask me a signal question about my lifestyle (no questions about diet, exercise etc), and when I asked if she had any recommendations for me to get as healthy as possible before getting pregnant, she looked at me totally blank faced and couldn't provide any feedback- odd for someone that specializes in healthy moms and babies. Throughout my appointment, I really felt like I was just another number for them, like they tried to just get as many patients in and out without treating their patients like anything more than cattle. So I left the office not impressed, but what REALLY turned me off and guaranteed I won't be back is that I was told I would get a call in the next couple days if my test was irregular or a card in the mail in the next week if it wasn't. Well SIX WEEKS later, I still hadn't received anything so I finally called. The receptionist confirmed my test was regular and said she was just mailing me a card "tomorrow"- what a coincidence! What's worst is that the receptionist had an attitude and wasn't empathetic at all to the fact that I was concerned and curious about why I hadn't received anything. All she said was that they were "so busy". It's unacceptable to keep someone waiting that long about their health, especially something that was more than likely a generic form letter since my results were regular. This practice obviously is stretched too thin, only concerned with getting people in and out, disorganized, and doesn't care about its patients enough to show any care or concern about their health. read more

If you want the fast version. Don't ever go to this doctor. Ever. I went to Dr. Anderson in 2011 for my first baby. I think i had 2 visits and decided I was done. It overall was the bedside manner that made me leave. Two more babies (3 total) and years later, 2017, I called to make an appointment for a check up to follow up on a few miscarriages. Like 7. In a row. I got handed her again as I called the feather river health center and they give you whoever is available. I went in and explained and before I got 10 words out she leaves the room. I hear her whispering to the nurse "this girl says she's had multiple miscarriages ...do a pregnancy test on her" she comes back in and i do the test. I was not pregnant because this was in January and I just miscarried in December. She says with a know it all attitude the test was negative...so I'm wrong. I'm not pregnant. I told her I never thought I was, i came to see if we can run test to find out why I lost so many. She said she can't go off what i say to run test. Ok I can get that. I started to explain she cut me off again. Said next time I have a home test positive to call immediately. I did. They got me in weeks later. I said no she wants me in the day of or day after to confirm so if I miscarry she can run tests. Nope. 3 weeks later I'm still pregnant. I go in and they said my appointment wasn't that day...?!??!?! I said no I just drove with 3 kids to paradise I'm at least taking a test. She then saw me the next week and said yes it's positive. Then she sent me for blood work. Follow up a week later. I came in...then she made an ultrasound. For in another week. (at this point im like 10 weeks and no one can give me a due date or confirm pregnancy) I go to my ultrasound and the tech turns the screen and shuts off the noise. She turned it up a tiny to hear heart beats no pics no nothing. She said 3 words and told me I was done. She also kept getting angry I couldn't hold my breathe..and be completely still for 45 seconds. I went to the office completely mad and told them someone needed to tell me if I have a baby in me with a heartbeat. They said I'd know I'm may 10th. It was may 3rd. That's too long. Especially after losing so many. I told them I was going to report them if someone didn't tell me what was going on. They finally said there is a good heartbeat . that's all I needed. I have no doc right now...still looking...but glad it's not her. read more
