I wish that I could leave 10 Stars! Words cannot adequately…read moreexpress our appreciation to Melissa Howard and Dawg Dynasty for their outstanding and loving care of our dog Macie during the Christmas Holidays. The facility was immaculate and well equipped. The kennels were large with elevated pet beds and blankets. We were also allowed to bring Macie's bed to help her feel at home, as well as her favorite toys. The outside play area was securely fenced and offered a covered area for those reluctant to relieve themselves in the rain. There were also elevated beds for those guests wanting to enjoy the sun. Much to our (and other family member's) delight, pictures were regularly shared of our pup enjoying her Christmas vacation with "new friends". Santa even appeared on Christmas Eve and left each pup a stocking full of toys and treats. It's difficult to leave a furbaby anytime, but Dawg Dynasty treats their " four-legged guests" like beloved family members. Although this was our first stay, we cannot imagine boarding Macie at any other facility.

Coming from Columbus, Ohio, we needed day care for our little Bichon (who was a shelter dog) while…read morewe attended a family gathering in the Flatwoods area. Amanda responded to our inquiry and was so kind that we felt good about the choice of Foxxy Pet Resort. Finding the place was a little challenging but nothing GPS couldn't handle. Upon turning over our dog, Chase, she immediately welcomed him and made him feel secure and then she gave us a flyer with a back story about the business. We read it and learned that the service Amanda provides is a tribute to her late 13 year old son whose health struggles were eased by the companionship of his Boston Terrier, Grimm. We were very touched by this example of the beauty of a mother's love for her child and a child's love for his dog. Turning pain to something good is an act of faith and grace. During the day we received pictures from Amanda that reassured us that Chase was doing well and was in good hands. That was above and beyond and something only a fellow dog lover would understand would be appreciated. The next time that we are in the area with our fur baby, we will absolutely use Foxxy Resort again. Thanks Amanda (and Grimm) for a five star experience.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Dr. Ayers and his staff for the care and concern…read more they have for my two girls. Dr. Ayers goes above and beyond what any veterinarian would do to ensure the well being of an animal and genuinely cares about each one as if they were his own. There is only veterinarian I trust to treat my girls, and one that I trust the opinion of and value the opinion of, and that is Dr. Ayers. I live 600 miles away from the Huntington area, but yet still make yearly appointments for my girls to see Dt. Ayers. Even when they see their local vet, I still call Dr. Ayers to get his opinion on issues because I value his opinion and expertise so much. Recently, he saved the life of my girl because of the misdiagnosis of another vet and performed an emergency surgery on a holiday and didn't hesitate to go out of his way to ensure that she had the best care possible recovering. Two weeks later my other one became sick again with an illness that no other vet could diagnose the problem and he instantly had a diagnosis and later confirmed it after performing tests. I believe what sets Dr. Ayers apart from other doctors is that he practices from his heart. He listens to people and really listens to what is going on with their animals. He has excellent communication with his people and is very personable. He's very accessible, always returns calls when you need to talk with him, and just an amazing all around human being. I wish I had Dr. Ayers in every city I live in because we travel so much, but every time I'm in the Huntington area visiting family, my girls will be visiting Dr. Ayers, as well, because he is like family, too!

They all have this horrid preservative in them that flakes my dogs' skin up. I never had problems with Sexton Brothers. Good for all large breed dogs. I'm not sure what Julia's problem is, probably has something to do with 'rescuing' hounds vs actually letting the dogs run. All hunters love this stuff, just read the forums. They know the truth about the situation. Lots of things cause problems in dogs, Sexton Brothers is not one of them. Love it. Can't wait to stock up so my dogs get straightened out.

After much research I learned about the Siberian cat and how they produce some of the lowest levels of the fel-d protein, which is what most people with cat allergies react to. I found several breeders but I was afraid of purchasing a cat due to my husbands allergies. We found one breeder who lived about 200 miles from us and she was hesitant to allow us to visit her cats to see if my husband would have a reaction. She charged us $100 non-refundable fee just to visit one of her cats. Well we paid the fee but the visit never happened nor did we get our money back. I found Ann's website and emailed her about our concerns. She suggested a t-shirt test, which means that we send her a few t-shirts and she would swaddle the mama, father, and kitten we were interested in adopting in those shirts and mail it back. My husband wore the shirts for a couple of days to see if he would have an allergic reaction, which he did not. We adopted 2 of her fur babies and they have become an integral part of our family. They are much loved and a joy to be around. Ann has been great answering our questions and any concerns we may have regarding our fur babies.
