FULL SPA DAY. Meeting Sandra (owner) was pleasant as I was trying to set up a full day of pampering…read morefor my wife on her birthday. Sandra was very responsive and gave me a personalized tour of the facilities. The attention to detail in each room was immaculate. She helped me understand what my wife will be experiencing throughout her day. NOTE: This review will be based on my wife's perspective as she went through the entire experience. The check-in process was easy. You sign a waiver and you let Sandra know which essential oils and theme you would like in each room. They provide you a robe to change into as you begin the spa day. You start off in the infrared sauna for 30 min., then a choice of deep tissue or swedish massage, then a body exfoliation/wrap, then you shower off, and then you end with a facial. In summary: PROS: attention to the little details throughout the experience (fresh roses, comfy robes, kind workers); resting area was comfortable with fresh fruit, lemon and mint infused water, and a selection of hot tea; the exfoliation and body wrap done by Sandra were very nice. CONS: the walls were so thin that you could hear conversations in the next room and the lawn maintenance outside (which wasn't a peaceful experience); Sandra had another person conduct the massage and facial (who barely spoke English) - she didn't do everything she said she was going to do in the massage (she was to focus mostly on the upper back area due to more tension being on the upper body, but didn't); also she started massaging the body facing up which lead to very little time on the upper back area; my wife, being the mother of our 3 kids barely gets time to pamper herself and has been hinting at needing a facial for awhile, when then"analysis" was done on her skin, there was a shriek of horror at how her skin looked (which didn't make my wife feel great about herself) and she felt pressured into a $25 up charge. For a total of $350+ for this service, I would rate this experience at 3.5. I trusted that my wife was going to be taken care of, which she was, but it's certainly not worth the price given all the cons.

I'm really disappointed by my recent experiences at The Spa of Historic Roswell…read more The services themselves are not bad, and my family has happily given this spa a lot of business over the years. That's why it's so upsetting that, with the recent change in front desk staff and how policies are handled, we've decided we won't be returning. Most of the difficulty has been with the receptionist, Pamela. Whether on the phone or at checkout, she has come across as impatient, dismissive, and clearly bothered by basic questions. I've been met with sighs and an attitude that made me feel like helping a client was an inconvenience. Instead of leaving relaxed and appreciated, I left feeling unwelcome. I was also told my gift certificate had expired, despite never being informed of an expiration date or receiving any reminder. And while clients are charged for canceling within 24 hours, the spa has canceled within that same window themselves. The inconsistency feels unfair. I wanted to continue supporting this business, but the customer service experience made it clear our loyalty didn't matter.

[Spoiler for those who don't like long reviews, know this: I travel an hour one-way (so two round-trip) to get my hair done, even though there are plenty of salons within ten minutes of my home.] I have used Veronica since finding her more than 18 months ago. In her outside-the-salon life, she is a fine artist, and this creativity, passion, patience, caring and positive energy are abundant in the way she practices her haircraft. In the past 30 years, I have lived in five states, including hairdressing meccas like SoCal and NYC. Thanks to my business travel, I have also sampled high-end salon services at resorts around the world. Veronica is among the best of the best!!! And she is sincerely concerned about the experience of the client, and the person who lives under the head of hair. The Facility: Now that Veronica has joined the Lifespa team, I get not only her personal excellence, but can also enjoy the many fine amenities of the Lifetime facility AND have access to a wide menu of spa and salon services. Open EVENINGS and WEEKENDS (Sunday included!) so you can tailor around your schedule. Prices are reflective of upscale, higher-end salon, but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The coloring products (even the bleaching agents) are gentle and devoid of bad odor. The shampoos, conditioners and styling products are a heavenly aromatherapy of their own! And Veronica gives her own shampoos and scalp massage - beyond divine! My hair is healthier and more vibrant, my cut grows out more nicely, and my greys blend in more sneakily and slowly with my hair artist Veronica on my team. Go here, even if it costs a bit more. Be patient, even if it takes a bit more time. And if you are offered a cup of tea...SAY YES. It's the Aveda tea, and it is out of this world delicious. You're welcome. :)

So I was in the market for a facial, and I googled spas near me and found Salon and Spa Vanessa. I chose it because it was the closest thing to where I was, lucky me. It sits in an old historic home. It's an Aveda spa. This whole place smells amazing. They've got great products. And then obviously, they're a good enough high-quality spa and salon to be able to carry the Aveda line in the first place. I understand they're fairly selective. So I got in same day for a facial, same morning, which was great because I hate waiting. Worked out perfect for me. The facial was great. Excellent experience from start to finish. Staff were warm and welcoming. I picked up my favorite candle, some hand wash, and got a little voucher for some money off my next different treatment since I was a first-time customer, new customer. Parking is free if you're there for the salon. Otherwise, you have to pay behind the building. Really nice experience. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone in the Woodstock area looking for a nice spa treatment.

This place is only about 10 minutes away, so that's a positive. Staff was kind and welcoming when you enter. We opted for the 60 min foot massage for $30 per person. Good flow, right amount of pressure, actually one of the best I've had. They don't spend as much time on your hands and scalp afterwards. My masseuse actually spoke English pretty fluently too, so that's always a plus to be able to communicate what you want clearly. They give you two options at the end: 1. Lay back in the chair and get a scalp and arm massage. 2. Sit up, and get a mini-back massage. Either one is good, just depends on your mood that day. I also got a body massage on a different occasion, and it's a good deal at $55 for 60 mins. It's hard to definitively discuss the quality of the massage at these places since you may get a different person each time. Most of them are good, but there's one that pushed a little too hard. I need to get the name of two ladies who are OUTSTANDING. Both my girlfriend and I have almost dozed off into a massage-induced sleep while they were working their magic. I've also had underwhelming or painful experiences too, so it's really a hit or miss. Chairs are comfy, the interior is clean and quiet (we went on Easter Sunday so there was no one else there). Plenty of parking spaces outside in the shopping center. They do take credit cards (no Discover, despite a sign outside saying that accept it). Walk ins welcome. They try to upsell you sometimes, but it's not the worst I've seen.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I had checked out reviews of this massage studio and based on the great…read moreYelp reviews, I decided to give it a try. First, a little background about me. I am a weightlifter, Rock Climber, yoga practitioner, and motorcyclist. I have a history of herniated disks in my neck and my lower back. Because I am so active and have these existing conditions, I need a massage therapist who can work with these issues and also do a lot of deep tissue massage to decrease tension from all my hard work outs. For my first visit to this massage studio, I had an active headache which had been with me for nine days. I have some kind of a pinch going on in the nerves of my neck which was making me cranky and causing low grade consistent pain. The first benefit is that this massage studio works with the chiropractor I am seeing at Advanced Pain and Spine center right next door. They collaborate on a holistic treatment. I had no idea that that I had independently booked appointments with medical professionals that were right next to each other! How convenient! Not only is Shae delightful, she executed an amazingly therapeutic massage. For the first time in nine days I don't have a miserable headache which was making me grumpy! She is easily able to find all the tension that pulls on my spine and nerves and released them. I am an athlete and I need deep tissue that is very therapeutic and I have pre-existing spine conditions. If you want an expert who can keep you fit and active and feeling great, you absolutely must come to this massage studio! I am going to see Shae regularly as part of not only my healing process from neuropathy due to herniated disc's in my neck, but also to keep my body limber and very high functioning well I continue to be extremely active and fit.
