Ya'll thought of everything anyone could possibly want and gave attention to every detail. The pier is beautiful and just draws your eye out to the bay and the gorgeous sunsets. It was the perfect place to sit and watch the fish jump, a few dolphins swim by, and the sun sink below the horizon. Wherever you choose to sit on the site, you can't miss the amazing and beautiful sunsets-easily the highlight of each day! The lush landscaping and beautiful palms make it a true tropical oasis. The site feels so private and is so quite, peaceful and restful. We also enjoyed walking the Rockport Beach and the Tule hike and bike trail, and were amazed at the herons and egrets roosting in the trees off Fulton Road! Thank you for all the info about those areas! How lucky we were to get to meet you and share this amazing place with you for a few days! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming and kind! The wonderful boat trip through the Rockport canals was an unexpected bonus and highlight to our stay. There are some beautiful areas in Rockport, but I think the canals are a hidden gem! We loved and enjoyed our little vacation and definitely plan to book some future stays. You guys probably won't be our neighbors the next time we visit, but we count it a blessing that we got to meet ya'll this visit and can now call you friends! We wish you continued success in your Copa Copa venture and thank you for creating such a great place to make wonderful memories!

I know they have recently been bought out. A few changes, no longer garage pickup or clean towels. That's not such a big deal but no coffee maker in the cabin and in all the years in the past: the security-cleaning deposit was given back into your account. Was informed today( after I had to call) that that was now included in your stay. That should have been made clear up front upon booking. We make it a diligent habit of thoroughly cleaning our cabin before we leave. Between no coffee maker and the other little perks, we were short changed in our stay this year. I have always taken your business cards and also word of mouth to promote this resort but I now have to think twice. Just not the same as before.

It's an antonishingly old live oak tree with a massive trunk and spreading branches. During our visit, the land under and around the tree was a carpet of wildflowers. Goose Island State Park is smaller than some state parks we have visited but it's full of amenities. There are lots of camping spots for tents and RVs. There are short hiking trails that showcase the local flora . . . but be sure to bring your bug spray if you come during the warmer months. The pier that stretches into Aransas Bay has spectacular views, and the wetlands welcome many types of birds.

We looked around Houston and everything was booked or rained out! So we found Goose Island and it had decent reviews! We decided to book a campsite for one night- our campsite was 201. When we arrived my goodness!! I've never seen so many deer - one minute outside of the park, there were about 5 deers hanging out- not scared of me or my car or the noises. It was beautiful! When we entered the park, we first was looking for our campsite and drove in many circles- it was in the "wooded area" so it was a bit hard to find! When we arrived it was around 3pm And we started setting up camp. I am thankful the parking was right in front of the campsite but also that whole area I think 201-204 Is shared. I was lucky it was Christmas so no one else Booked the area next to us but it wouldn't have been as fun if others did! We stayed overnight- everything went well as planned! One thing I didn't like the restrooms were driving distance or a longer walk away but this was an amazing weekend getaway for us! In the morning we checked out the pier area. It was nice and very different than our campsite area! Highly recommend this park even for a daytime park!

Loved the pot luck and the special dinners. It's a great place if you fish. We fished from the sea wall. The only two things I didn't like about this place was the roads inside the park. When it rains it was very muddy. And the wind. It seems like it blew every day. The camper rocked all the time. We loved the park but it's not are cup of tea.

The RV park indicates that they have a kayak launch. This is not true as the launch has been adversely affected by hurricane Harvey The area that I am currently at has also been adversely affected by the storms the electricity and water dispersed from a 45° angle. The cost is fair, but I am disappointed. I have had to deal with mud. The reason is that there is no place for the water to drain. My tires are no longer black as mud has dried. The moment I get to my next destination I will have to pay to have 5th wheel and truck detailed. The bummer is no one here is overly concerned. is nothing outstanding, The maintenance men are helpful. The woman in the front office are not great. They do the minimum. I was suppose to stay here from January until June. I am leaving for a different park tomorrow February 1st.

This park is in a residential area and is quiet and very low key. Al and Robyn are great hosts and are almost always on site. Another couple that fills in for them, Harley and Sara, were helping them when we got here so I did all of the reservations, etc. with them. So precious and friendly and helpful. Both couples are Texas friendly and will chat and answer any questions you might have. We ended up staying two months and if we didn't have more travel plans, we'd stay a lot longer. Sites are on the smaller side, and has concrete pads beside where you park, not concrete to park on. You actually park on sand and grass, or in some cases gravel, but we haven't had a problem with leveling. Hookups and sewer lines are all easy accessible. There are full time RV and mobile home dwellers as well. Everyone is chill, although there are some children and pets like you'd hear in a typical neighborhood. Quiet time rules are thankfully adhered to. The bathrooms, though clean, are not new and are in a cinderblock building with the laundry area between the men's and ladies rooms. Four washers, which accepts quarters, and Robyn will make change for if you need change, There are also four dryers, that dry like nothing I've ever seen. There isn't a pool or a workout room or morning coffee, although during the winter months, they offer coffee and donuts and give everyone a change to chat and catch up. The Rec Hall isn't top of the line, and is basically tables and chairs, along with a mail/package delivery area, small kitchen and a table for donating or picking up items that you may need. I personally think this is a fantastic idea, and more RV sites should consider it. If you travel full time in an RV, you're very aware of how quickly you pick up stuff you really don't need, or outgrow, and it is so refreshing to have the opportunity to recycle, reduce, and reuse. The Rec Hall is clean and well lit and surrounded by lovely pots of flowers. Monthly rates at time of writing were a little over $500 (plus electric) a month, which includes water, cable and internet. Internet isn't the best, but it works enough. There are always people out walking, sitting and watching each other. It is not gated, but every body keeps an eye out for each other. There are beautiful Live Oak trees throughout the park, although Hurricane Harvey took out a huge portion a few years ago. It's a short five minute walk to the downtown area, which includes pubs and shops, a great coffee shop and there are several artist studios as well. Wonderful birds chirping, a near constant breeze and friendly residents make this a hidden gem. PS--be sure to check out Zachary Taylor Park across the street, and say hello to The General, a 15 year old peacock that's the unofficial mascot of Taylor Oaks.

There's cable and wifi, power (although seemingly high) is price comparable to parks in the area. water pressure is great, concrete lots with extra parking across the road, you don't get nickeled and dimed for extra cars, dogs or overnight visitors.

They do have wifi (we had a great signal, but we were told it can be spotty); they have cable ( but you need to pick up a receiver from the office, it's not as simple as just hooking up a cable). Your satellite dish probably won't work, the trees block the signal (unless you had a dish with a long cable that you can position so that it points towards an opening in the trees. There is a laundry room. And, it appears they may be building a small shower house ( but I won't swear that is going to be the buildings intended purpose). So why four stars? It is one of the most peaceful campgrounds I've been to in a very long time. The sites are surrounded by live oak trees, the rv pads are all concrete, level and good sized. The location had the feel of years gone by - if a peaceful, quiet campground is what you're looking for you've found your spot! The campground is not very big, maybe 15-20 sites, and many of those are taken up with long term campers - maybe a few snowbirds. The owner is as laid back as the park feels. We had called ahead, so he greeted us when we arrived, then he told us to just pick the site we wanted, get set up and we'd settle up later. It was the next day before we connected up again - and we're the ones that had to track him down. Once we did, he came to our site to settle up. The rate was $35 a night, most in the area are a lot higher! So if you're just wanting to get away from it all - this is the place for you!! If you want or need extra bells and whistles just keep on going, this RV Resort is not for you!!!
