This beach is very kid friendly considering it is knee deep even really far out. I would recommend going to the pay part of the beach if you don't want to be in hot bath water. Would probably be great if it wasn't so hot outside. But if you have kids it's a great place to spend the day. The water was pretty.

Guess where they held the crawfish festival this year

First time coming to attend the crawfish festival. Not too shabby. We tried all types of flavors and styles... some included potatoes, corn, garlic cloves, mushrooms, and SPICE lol can you guys which was my fav? Purchase tickets for this event shared of time, unclear if they would still sell at the entrance but that were we went to get arm band, which is required to participate. There were so many vendors. Some participating in the crawfish contest, others selling their products: clothes, hats galore, and other novelty items. Because the weather the previous day, the festival was delayed a bit but the vendors made it fun, playing music, offering beads, free grown up dranks, They have tables and chairs that are to be reserved previously. Downfall, tables aren't numbers and a bit of disparage causing discontent with some of the customers.

The man at the entrance I got a really good vibe from you I like you he was very nice and helpful. The beach there wasn't many people on it. The water was close to the beach floor like we was out there and it didn't come past our ankles. Y'all need a shower we would had liked to get this sand off of us.

Surprisingly clean in a State that is ranked Worst Beaches in the US. Pursuant to their local Municipal website, ocean cleanliness inspections are done on a weekly basis. Come early as the little huts are occupies very quickly. We came before 10am and there was already a line. Water was clean, beach areas were clean overall. June season there is not much weed. $10 daily fee and a$40 annual fee.

    You can fly kites here!

Rockport beach is absolutely epic! We went here for Spring Break 2024 and it was absolutely a family friendly place! On our first day, we explored the free beaches here for a few hours, and it was a delightful experience, especially for a quick visit! There were two accessible port-a-potties on this side, which is better than nothing! The second day we spent the whole day here so we opted to pay $10 for the day (come & go for the whole day). There's an option to pay $40 for the whole year. It includes two pavilions with bathrooms, shower as well as multiple playground. There is ample beach space to set up or tables both covered and uncovered for setting up for the day. A few food trucks or you can bring your own food for a picnic. Beaches are amazing. Shallow water safe for little ones to have fun. Beach is incredible clean and overall such a great experience! We have a 6 & 8 year old and we will definitely come back here!

$10 for the day for the entire family is a steal. The beach and facilities were clean. The kiddos had fun on the playground! We might have buried some sea glass for the little to find This is a fantastic family beach! Highly recommend visiting when in Rockport !

Beach is clean, playgrounds next to the sand, soft sand, and no pets. It's more for families with little kids as the water isn't too deep and the waves aren't as big as Port Aransas or Whitecap. It was overall relaxing and we would definitely go back.

Best beach to spend the weekend Daily fee is $10, very affordable. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Water feels good and great way to spend time with family and friends.

This beach is awesome. It's a hidden gem just North-North East of Corpus Christi. It is small public beach that Rockport takes great care of. Combed and cleaned daily. They put lots of sand in the water so family and kids can wade very far out without any worries. That is a really good plus compared to other beaches in the area. They have multiple very sturdy shade huts along the mile long beach. Plus bath house, and salt water pools.

A well groomed and kept beach in the heart of Rockport. the water is usually calm and clear. The harbor, some excellent restaurants, shops and art galleries are near by. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Located along the Texas coastline Rockport is about 30 miles north of Corpus Christi or 2 hours southeast from San Antonio. Not a bad trip for such a great family friend beach. The cost is 10 bucks per car to enter the beach park which is a great value. Once inside there is plenty of parking and space on the beach to set up for a fun beach day. From the parking areas to the beach is a short walk. There are plenty of portable restrooms, shower areas, and playscapes for the kids. The water was very comfortably warm and the sand is clean and easy to walk in. The water was some of the cleanness I have seen in Texas (besides south Padre) No pets and no glass containers are allowed. Rockport Beach park is awesome. Very nice, clean, and safe for the entire family. If you need a break from the city or your day to day stress I highly recommend Rockport Beach Park!!!!! We had a blast...

Excellent clean, beautiful, family friendly beach. The water is shallow on the beach area. There is a $10 fee, but you can go in and out for the day. It's totally worth it.

    Beach around 10am on Tuesday.
    Christopher A.

Beautiful place to spend the day, $10 for the entire day, open beaches and can walk about 300' out still at waist deep. Seagulls were a bit much, had to make a sandwhich twice thanks to the seagull snatching it out of my kids hands. Funny though! Clean bathrooms, beer is served, on windy days is absolutely miserable.

Rockport beach kinda sucks. No waves, brackish hot water, too shallow way out. We won't be back.

Wherever you choose to sit on the site, you can't miss the amazing and beautiful sunsets-easily the highlight of each day! The lush landscaping and beautiful palms make it a true tropical oasis. The site feels so private and is so quite, peaceful and restful. Thank you for all the info about those areas! How lucky we were to get to meet you and share this amazing place with you for a few days! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming and kind! The wonderful boat trip through the Rockport canals was an unexpected bonus and highlight to our stay. There are some beautiful areas in Rockport, but I think the canals are a hidden gem! We looked around Houston and everything was booked or rained out! So we found Goose Island and it had decent reviews! We decided to book a campsite for one night- our campsite was 201. When we arrived my goodness!! I've never seen so many deer - one minute outside of the park, there were about 5 deers hanging out- not scared of me or my car or the noises. It was beautiful! When we entered the park, we first was looking for our campsite and drove in many circles- it was in the "wooded area" so it was a bit hard to find! When we arrived it was around 3pm And we started setting up camp. I am thankful the parking was right in front of the campsite but also that whole area I think 201-204 Is shared. I was lucky it was Christmas so no one else Booked the area next to us but it wouldn't have been as fun if others did! We stayed overnight- everything went well as planned! One thing I didn't like the restrooms were driving distance or a longer walk away but this was an amazing weekend getaway for us! In the morning we checked out the pier area. It was nice and very different than our campsite area! Highly recommend this park even for a daytime park!

My imagination is a little too wild for the open sea and the thought of sharks and wild animals bigger than me freaks me out! When we first started going out on the water, I was nervous. Capt. Doug was awesome though, he gently broke us into deeper and choppier water making sure that both or legs and stomachs could handle the constant movements. It didn't take very long before my husband caught his first fish. Less than a minute actually! He dropped his line in the water, and BAAM!! There was a giant Redfish on the hook. Well after that, we were ready for more. Further and deeper we went until we ended up next to two large shrimping boats. That's when the fun really started. Kingfish, sharks, dolphin, sea turtles. It was like they were putting on a show. I have never had very good experiences at the beach, better yet on the water, but Capt. Doug really knew how to entertain and keep the energy up. I would recommended him to anyone, young or old, man or woman, experienced fishermen or newbies like myself. We had a blast.
