Thank you, Karen and Dennis, for a wonderful few days at The Copa Copa! This may very well be the…read moremost beautiful and meticulously maintained site that we have ever stayed in! Ya'll thought of everything anyone could possibly want and gave attention to every detail. The pier is beautiful and just draws your eye out to the bay and the gorgeous sunsets. It was the perfect place to sit and watch the fish jump, a few dolphins swim by, and the sun sink below the horizon. Wherever you choose to sit on the site, you can't miss the amazing and beautiful sunsets-easily the highlight of each day! The lush landscaping and beautiful palms make it a true tropical oasis. The site feels so private and is so quite, peaceful and restful. We also enjoyed walking the Rockport Beach and the Tule hike and bike trail, and were amazed at the herons and egrets roosting in the trees off Fulton Road! Thank you for all the info about those areas! How lucky we were to get to meet you and share this amazing place with you for a few days! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming and kind! The wonderful boat trip through the Rockport canals was an unexpected bonus and highlight to our stay. There are some beautiful areas in Rockport, but I think the canals are a hidden gem! We loved and enjoyed our little vacation and definitely plan to book some future stays. You guys probably won't be our neighbors the next time we visit, but we count it a blessing that we got to meet ya'll this visit and can now call you friends! We wish you continued success in your Copa Copa venture and thank you for creating such a great place to make wonderful memories!

I know they have recently been bought out. A few changes, no longer garage pickup or clean towels. That's not such a big deal but no coffee maker in the cabin and in all the years in the past: the security-cleaning deposit was given back into your account. Was informed today( after I had to call) that that was now included in your stay. That should have been made clear up front upon booking. We make it a diligent habit of thoroughly cleaning our cabin before we leave. Between no coffee maker and the other little perks, we were short changed in our stay this year. I have always taken your business cards and also word of mouth to promote this resort but I now have to think twice. Just not the same as before.

Loved the pot luck and the special dinners. It's a great place if you fish. We fished from the sea wall. The only two things I didn't like about this place was the roads inside the park. When it rains it was very muddy. And the wind. It seems like it blew every day. The camper rocked all the time. We loved the park but it's not are cup of tea.

The RV park indicates that they have a kayak launch. This is not true as the launch has been adversely affected by hurricane Harvey The area that I am currently at has also been adversely affected by the storms the electricity and water dispersed from a 45° angle. The cost is fair, but I am disappointed. I have had to deal with mud. The reason is that there is no place for the water to drain. My tires are no longer black as mud has dried. The moment I get to my next destination I will have to pay to have 5th wheel and truck detailed. The bummer is no one here is overly concerned. is nothing outstanding, The maintenance men are helpful. The woman in the front office are not great. They do the minimum. I was suppose to stay here from January until June. I am leaving for a different park tomorrow February 1st.

So, I guess our experience differs greatly from the others that have reviewed this RV Park. We…read morebooked it based on the photographs and ratings on the Good Sam Club app - (9.5, 10.0, 9.5) not sure who is rating this place, but it became painfully obvious the second we drove in that the ratings were fabricated out of thin (very thin) air and that the reviewers must have been suffering from oxygen deprivation and hallucinating about their location. The facility rating of 9.5, restroom rating of 10.0, and appeal rating of 9.5 were so far off base, that my wife started to cry when she realized we had actually booked an entire week here! The facility is a 7 at best, the restrooms with their deteriorating ceilings were no more than a 7.5 and the appeal was a stretch at a 5. Safety became a concern when we noticed that someone had been peeking in our windows and crushed our waste hoses when they stood on them. Nobody cared and thought we were idiots for even thinking such a thing was possible. The full timers are all rude and the park children are allowed to run and scream and throw each other into the pool (fully clothed) while others are trying to enjoy it. One side of the park backs up to a waste yard of debris and junk that rivals any we had ever seen. The full time RV's and trailers are all run down with trash and debris all around and it appears that the only thing they care about is . . . well . . . NOTHING! We will never be back to this park. Not ever. And we will never trust the Good Sam reviews again, either.

Camping isn't free to my knowledge, but day use fees are not applied in most stretches of the island. I'll never forget our last summer (June 2025) vacation day when I reminded my girls to try to remain calm and not thrash around if they see a shark. They boogie boarded and swam for a couple of hours. Then about 150 yards away, the fishermen reeled in a couple of juvenile sharks. They took pictures then released them properly back into the ocean. My family acted as though sharks were a new phenomenon. A star knocked off because I was just taken aback by how trashy Texans and tourists have gotten. It didn't seem this bad when I was much younger. I picked up a full trash bag's worth walking up and down our area alone. Let's do better... tell your group to pick up too. Wildlife deserves to search for food and shelter garbage free.
