Five stars. Total…read moreclose community vibes ... the staff and residents were super sweet. Puppies are welcome and pet owners were responsible. The park was quiet and gave an "at home" feeling. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The restrooms were also clean and fresh. Our 28 foot trailer easily whipped into our spot and the beautiful oak trees provided great shade. Price was on point. A super cute park was right next door ... all set with benches, bird watching, a fountain and pup waste bags. Winning! Five minutes from the beach, fishing, shops and dining. We'll definitely stay again ! Thank you for a fantastic family trip.

We are relatively new RVers and have no particular needs when we choose a park, other than if…read morepossible, we want it to be within walking distance of any water we're nearby, restaurants, sight seeing sites, etc. Typical tourist stuff. This park is in a residential area and is quiet and very low key. Al and Robyn are great hosts and are almost always on site. Another couple that fills in for them, Harley and Sara, were helping them when we got here so I did all of the reservations, etc. with them. So precious and friendly and helpful. Both couples are Texas friendly and will chat and answer any questions you might have. We ended up staying two months and if we didn't have more travel plans, we'd stay a lot longer. Sites are on the smaller side, and has concrete pads beside where you park, not concrete to park on. You actually park on sand and grass, or in some cases gravel, but we haven't had a problem with leveling. Hookups and sewer lines are all easy accessible. There are full time RV and mobile home dwellers as well. Everyone is chill, although there are some children and pets like you'd hear in a typical neighborhood. Quiet time rules are thankfully adhered to. The bathrooms, though clean, are not new and are in a cinderblock building with the laundry area between the men's and ladies rooms. Four washers, which accepts quarters, and Robyn will make change for if you need change, There are also four dryers, that dry like nothing I've ever seen. There isn't a pool or a workout room or morning coffee, although during the winter months, they offer coffee and donuts and give everyone a change to chat and catch up. The Rec Hall isn't top of the line, and is basically tables and chairs, along with a mail/package delivery area, small kitchen and a table for donating or picking up items that you may need. I personally think this is a fantastic idea, and more RV sites should consider it. If you travel full time in an RV, you're very aware of how quickly you pick up stuff you really don't need, or outgrow, and it is so refreshing to have the opportunity to recycle, reduce, and reuse. The Rec Hall is clean and well lit and surrounded by lovely pots of flowers. Monthly rates at time of writing were a little over $500 (plus electric) a month, which includes water, cable and internet. Internet isn't the best, but it works enough. There are always people out walking, sitting and watching each other. It is not gated, but every body keeps an eye out for each other. There are beautiful Live Oak trees throughout the park, although Hurricane Harvey took out a huge portion a few years ago. It's a short five minute walk to the downtown area, which includes pubs and shops, a great coffee shop and there are several artist studios as well. Wonderful birds chirping, a near constant breeze and friendly residents make this a hidden gem. PS--be sure to check out Zachary Taylor Park across the street, and say hello to The General, a 15 year old peacock that's the unofficial mascot of Taylor Oaks.

Ya'll thought of everything anyone could possibly want and gave attention to every detail. The pier is beautiful and just draws your eye out to the bay and the gorgeous sunsets. It was the perfect place to sit and watch the fish jump, a few dolphins swim by, and the sun sink below the horizon. Wherever you choose to sit on the site, you can't miss the amazing and beautiful sunsets-easily the highlight of each day! The lush landscaping and beautiful palms make it a true tropical oasis. The site feels so private and is so quite, peaceful and restful. We also enjoyed walking the Rockport Beach and the Tule hike and bike trail, and were amazed at the herons and egrets roosting in the trees off Fulton Road! Thank you for all the info about those areas! How lucky we were to get to meet you and share this amazing place with you for a few days! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming and kind! The wonderful boat trip through the Rockport canals was an unexpected bonus and highlight to our stay. There are some beautiful areas in Rockport, but I think the canals are a hidden gem! We loved and enjoyed our little vacation and definitely plan to book some future stays. You guys probably won't be our neighbors the next time we visit, but we count it a blessing that we got to meet ya'll this visit and can now call you friends! We wish you continued success in your Copa Copa venture and thank you for creating such a great place to make wonderful memories!

Nice and quiet just like other reviewers have mentioned, there are no bathrooms, shower houses,…read morepool or any of that to draw unwanted noise to the park which is good, they had nice shade trees before Harvey, most are gone now. Rates were decent the guy that runs the place is nice and laid back, there aren't many rules if any, not much of a need for them because everyone here has common interests. There's cable and wifi, power (although seemingly high) is price comparable to parks in the area. water pressure is great, concrete lots with extra parking across the road, you don't get nickeled and dimed for extra cars, dogs or overnight visitors.

They do have wifi (we had a great signal, but we were told it can be spotty); they have cable ( but you need to pick up a receiver from the office, it's not as simple as just hooking up a cable). Your satellite dish probably won't work, the trees block the signal (unless you had a dish with a long cable that you can position so that it points towards an opening in the trees. There is a laundry room. And, it appears they may be building a small shower house ( but I won't swear that is going to be the buildings intended purpose). So why four stars? It is one of the most peaceful campgrounds I've been to in a very long time. The sites are surrounded by live oak trees, the rv pads are all concrete, level and good sized. The location had the feel of years gone by - if a peaceful, quiet campground is what you're looking for you've found your spot! The campground is not very big, maybe 15-20 sites, and many of those are taken up with long term campers - maybe a few snowbirds. The owner is as laid back as the park feels. We had called ahead, so he greeted us when we arrived, then he told us to just pick the site we wanted, get set up and we'd settle up later. It was the next day before we connected up again - and we're the ones that had to track him down. Once we did, he came to our site to settle up. The rate was $35 a night, most in the area are a lot higher! So if you're just wanting to get away from it all - this is the place for you!! If you want or need extra bells and whistles just keep on going, this RV Resort is not for you!!!

The managers of Reel Chill, Rudy and Paula, are wonderful people who excel in many areas. They are…read morealways willing to lend a hand and include everyone in activities. The park itself is well-kept, and any issues that arise are promptly addressed. My only complaint is these two people are very nice, that in my opinion people take advantage of their kindness. Originally, I stayed in space 103, which is quite large. Like many spaces at Reel Chill, it lacks views and shade, but it does offer ample room. This space was meant to be a temporary fix while I waited for a permanent space with a view. I knew it would take some time, but I felt it was worth it. Eventually, I relocated to space number 2. It's a fantastic space that gives the feeling of having a yard, along with plenty of room and a great view. I was very happy there, surrounded by nice neighbors. The woman in space 1 had two Corgis and was pleased to learn that I owned two dogs, saying, "Oh good, then you understand that dogs bark." I had no idea she was implying that her dogs barked constantly. Apparently, the space opened up for me quickly due to her dogs, a fact I wished I had been informed. I have decided to vacate space 2, as I can no longer tolerate the two dogs. One of the dogs was quarantine for a week due to snapping at a neighbor, who tried to pet the dog. That at least is the story. I personally believe that you would be a fool to approach the dogs as they bark incessantly. I worry for the safety of my two Shih Tzu's in the event they should ever get away from me. The indifference of their owners towards training only adds to my frustration. When the dogs are together, they become unruly and bark at most everything. If they are outside when I open my fifth wheel's door, they start barking . My complaints to Rudy and Paula have now led to an uncomfortable friction between me and the dogs' owners. I just don't know how the owners live with their pets behavior. What is worse is that It's clear that much of the park is aware of my neighbor's dogs, and I am often asked, "How do you put up with the noise." For the record, this is not an indictment on anybody. It is simply my experience at this wonderful park.. It is my recommendation that you stay here as it is probably one of the nicest RV parks in the vicinity. THAT SAID., I would strongly recommend if you have a small breed of dogs and barking does bother you. You do not want to stay in space two. The dogs are both corgi's..... I will be leaving space 2 and The Reel Chill the morning of 1 April 2026. I want to thank Rudy and Paula. It was a great time for 95 percent of my stay.
