    Coastal Realty literally saved our vacation! We originally book a week through an online site,…read morerenting a condo from an individual. When we checked in, we immediately smelled stale heavy smoke. A complete deal breaker for this family of non-smokers! The condo was listed as non-smoking but clearly had been smoked in A LOT. After contacting the owner, we were fully refunded, but had nowhere to go. With a car full of groceries just purchased on the way in town, we reached out to Coastal Realty with a desperate cry for help. Patty's soothing, kind, and professional voice told us to come to her office, and she would find us a place to stay. She let us go visit a couple of places that were good options but not exactly what we were looking for. But she didn't stop there. She made a call to another C. R. associate who told us to come to her office. Already knowing our back story, she said she had the perfect place for us. She walked us into a recently remodeled condo that was gorgeous!! It was better than we could have imagined, especially considering it was 4:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. We are so thankful for the extra effort and professional treatment we received from 3 agents at Coastal Realty. They all went above and beyond their call of duty. Patty for getting the ball rolling, Peyton for getting us into a beautiful condo, and for Dee getting our WiFi issues resolved!! I learned my lesson, and from now on I will not hesitate to recommend and use Coastal Realty.

    Coastal fired our condominium association. The reason was "interference " as we wanted to draft our…read moreown budget, have a say in the hiring and firing of maintenance personnel, and generally have a hand on what was being done with our property. Financial statements were always late, several times the association credit card was not paid, did not follow up on overcharges by the waste company, etc. in addition, several times the posting of notices of upcoming meetings was not done. in the end, the last month they basically didn't care much.

Upon arrival Kurt demanded that I sign an exclusive three-month contract to be represented by him as a buyer. I offered to sign the contract but asked to remove the 90-day commitment. He gave me an ultimatum to accept what would be his dual representation or get out of his listing property. Forcing potential buyers to sign three or even one month contract and refusing to show them the house if they try to negotiate the contract condition, which was my case, is a disservice to his client the seller and a very bad business practice in general.

On Jan. 31st, our day of check-in, they text "upon review it's been noticed that your final payment of $5999.50 is still outstanding...card declined. Our final payment was made on Jan. 2nd & cleared on our last statement. Cyndie couldn't even tell us which card because she was in the field. We dropped what we were doing and got a copy of our credit card statement and brought it to their office. They needed to make a copy of it. Not happy about that. Then we waited to hear from them...they're bad. -See Ray Shores 202 was not cleaned for us in 2022, 2023 and 2024. It was filthy. No problem, let the guest clean it. It had black mold in both showers. I cleaned all silverware, utensils, kitchen drawers & cupboards. There was a brush baster plastered in butter in the drawer, among other gross things. In 2025 I tried to address this issue and sent three emails to Cyndie. The last one offering to help the cleaners. No response. I called & Cyndie answered...said "we're working with the cleaners". Not reassuring. A few days before our check in I went to Endless Summer's office & spoke with Jaime, who in previous years told me the owners didn't leave in time for the cleaners....So they changed the sheets and called it a day. I asked her if she had looked at any of the phots I sent. Apparently not. When I told Jaime it needed to be cleaned this year, she said, 3 times, it's been clean but maybe "not up to your standards". She's right. Black mold in the shower, urine on the water closet floor, not vacuuming or moping, crumbs on counters, cockroaches...is not up to my standard. -No cable, no problem. Let the guest fix it. Let the guest wait days after they reported it. Then tell them you're going to have "Xfinity send a signal". I fixed both again in 2025, using an Xfinity widget, common sense and muscle to move a dresser that was 4" shorter than me, so I could access the cables. -no vacuum filters, no problem. Pretend you delivered the filters outside their door, then blame the guest when they aren't there. Then charge the guest's credit card, without their permission, for a 1 year supply of filters for the rental. There was so much back-and-forth we told them we would pay cash for them, but they decided charging our credit card without our permission was a better idea. I also suggested that they notify the owners that a package was missing outside of their rental. They could check their Ring video camera between Sunday, February 9th at 5 PM (when Cyndie claimed she dropped them off, without notice) through Monday 11:45 AM. Nope, they wouldn't do that for some obvious reason. -elevator out of service the last two years on the day we checked out. Had to carry 1 month's worth of luggage, etc. down two flights

    So many other reviews reflect similar experiences to what I had with this terrible company that I…read morealmost don't have to post anything. But I have to share my awful experience. I booked a stay through VRBO, which has always previously been a great experience with every other owner i've encountered. We travel with our two dogs, so we wanted a pet friendly property. This listing simply stated pet friendly and mentioned a nearby dog park. No policy or restrictions included. Also, the listing clearly stated a 100% refund before March 18th. The price seemed good, though the lack of VRBO reviews should have been suspicious. It was not until I booked and received the rental agreement that problems arose. The agreement CLEARLY stated the pet policy was two pets max with a pet fee (see photos). That's fine since we have two pets, even though the listing never mentioned this so you wouldn't know until after booking. It also said that all cancellations would include a nonrefundable $50 fee...definitely NOT the 100% cancellation on the listing. But since it seemed to have the accommodations we needed for us and our pets, I signed. Then I contacted John, the owner, via VRBO chat to ask about paying the pet fee for our two dogs. I received a very short response of "only one small pet is allowed for a $100 fee". NOT AT ALL WHAT THE AGREEMENT STATED. When i responded saying so, I got NO response at all. I then said If that was the case I would need to cancel. Still no response. After a few hours, I called the property office to cancel and was told it had already been cancelled. I had not been informed of this or communicated with in any way. I was also told I would not be getting the $50 fee back. I explained that it should be 100% refundable as stated at booking and that I was cancelling because of the incorrect info I was given in the agreement. The woman in the office interrupted me multiple times and was very rude. Her response to the total misrepresentation of info was essentially "oh well, nothing we can do". No apology, nothing even remotely related to decent customer service. How can you charge a fee for a cancellation that results directly from you misinformation? Signature or no signature, a contract is voidable when the info on it is nonrepresentational/incorrect. This call ended with her actually hanging up on me. Bottom line: this company is the worst. They don't care about you and despite being in the hospitality business they care more about a technicality than hospitality. Read your reviews, John. All these people aren't making this up. I just wish I could warn people on VRBO about you before they booked.

I'm shocked at how my parents were treated and how unethical this company is. They almost ruined our trip. Please steer clear of them!! We wanted to rent a place on the beach for my dad's 80th. We called several times to confirm that it's safe for him and 3 small children. We were reassured several times by Heather that it was. Upon arriving and realized it was not, we called and not only did she basically say too bad, she still charged a huge cleaning fee even though we told her there was no way we could stay. She proceeded to make up a false narrative to how the entire situation was handled but upon reading other reviews, seems this is the norm for how they conduct business. Disturbing how some people seem to have no regard for human decency.
