This home health care establishment in Stuart ,Florida treated my 95 year old father for a wound problem. The nurse presented to my father's residence with the acute onset of a hacking cough and wore no mask. Two days later she was positive for Covid. The following day after her visit my father was sick with cough, nasal congestion, and muscle aches and tested positive for Covid. He required ATC nursing care and quarantine from 90 year old mother.
The company's administrator was contacted . When discussing the company's lack of Covid protocol regarding masks in symptomatic employees and Covid testing she was quite defensive and abusive. She refused to accept any error of omission on the part of her employee or her company. I have filed complaints to the BBB, CMS and the Agency for Health Care Administration in Florida. I am a surgeon with 35 years experience as a patient advocate. Health care entities that do not put the interest of the patient first need to be admonished by the public.
