I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Spivey and his staff. They have gone above and beyond for my husband and I and the dental care we need/needed. They work with our crazy schedule and are so kind and helpful when my children have to come with me. I ended up needing some extra work on an implant that was placed by an oral surgeon and he and his staff have been my biggest advocates. I do need another implant that was explanted by my precious oral surgeon and will only allow Dr. Spivey to place it or any other cosmetic procedures I may need in the future. I have not had any issues with them filing my dental claims as stated previously by other patients. I have zero complaints with his bed side manor. He straight to the point and explains in more detail if I ask him questions about what it is that needs to be done. However, I don't believe that having bedside manner has any impact on any dentist or doctor what so ever. Dr. Spivey and his hygienists (Becky) have always been very kind to me. Yes, are there times he is in and out quickly, but I'm not the only patient he has in a chair to be seen. I would rather a skilled dentist perform my procedures over one that has a bedside manner that makes me feel good about myself. He and his staff always answer any question(s) I have. I have been to the good bedside manner oral surgeon before and yet here I sit with one implant having to be removed and another that Dr. Spivey had to fix because of the surgeons error. I love this dental office and will only go here for my dental needs from now on. (My husband feels the same way). Also his wife is a pediatric dentist down the road who sees my kiddos and they adore her! So if you need a pediatric dentist look at her practice as well. They are very good at what they do and the office staff are always kind and accommodating. read more

This dental office does not turn insurance claims in properly,. iI now have Humana on them to send me a check over $350.00. They are rude and tell you insurance want pay for certain things and you have to get your insurance deptment on them!! They want to hold on to your credit from insurance that has paid them. I will be finding a new dentist. read more

I'm going to need to go give my old dentist a five star review. I use to have great teeth but after becoming a mom and working as a night shift nurse...I've needed a few fillings. My old dentist did three and each time I freaked out and had to call back to schedule cause I would be too upset to commit to a filling. Each time I would grit and go threw with it, be picky about how it feels after. However, I never had any pain or problems once the lidocaine wore off. I've actually never really had dental pain. I moved cities and find myself here. I'm told I need three fillings. I do my freak out and call to schedule weeks later (sickness delayed me calling sooner). This dentist spent most of the time talking about his new house and ignored the saliva building up in my mouth. He was in such a hurry to move on to the next, he didn't check my bite after. I had to get him for come back and make it so I could close my jaw right. His office staff ignored me when I tried to tell them how much my insurance would pay. They now owe me almost $200 in refund. I've been living on Ibuprofen and dealing with dental pain and temperature sensitivity. I now have a better understanding of what some of my hospital patients go threw when they come to the ER for dental pain. read more

Very disappointed as new patient with insurance.The dental hygienist and dentist did an oral exam and reviewed X-rays determining I needed periodontal scaling and root planing. I went for my bi-annual cleaning and was new to the area. Never had a problem needing deep cleaning before this visit. My insurance only covered two quadrants for this procedure per visit, but this office did four quadrants in five minutes. I didn't need this procedure and am stuck with a hefty bill. $376 dollars I paid, with insurance. Still wondering if a got a true cleaning. Picking up my X-rays to go elsewhere. read more

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Spivey to anyone for a tooth implant. I spent a lot of time and money on an implant that I am not happy at all with. He talked about what a perfectionist he is and my tooth is far from perfect and he did not seem to care one bit when I told him my concern. Apparently, as long as the implant is placed correctly, he is not worried about the cosmetic part of it and how it actually looks as well. I thought that came with it with all of the money that I spent on it. Before he placed the tooth, I asked him why it didn't seem to fit or look like the same size as the others. He blew it off and tries to convince me that it was fine. Once I got home, I realized that the tooth is much smaller and sits back behind the rest of my teeth. After calling several times and finally getting a chance to speak with him about it, he said he would fix it for $600 more! He did not care if i was unhappy at all and was not even nice about it. I still owe some money to pay if off and It makes me sick to give him more of our money with something that he did such a terrible job on. I am mostly unhappy with his response to me when I told him my concern and how he had a complete lack of care. I have a bubble that keeps popping up on my gums where the implant is and have now had to pay a new dentist to fix his mistakes. $4000 tooth that looks awful! I also had a crown pop off that was less than a year old. Bed side manor is terrible too. read more

If I could give this office -5 stars I would! I have never been to such a lousy non ethical dental office in my life! I had a crown put on less than a year ago which hurt from the start. I went back a few months ago as the tooth felt infected & was extremely sore, in which the assistant took numerous X-rays (laughing she couldn't seem to get "a good one") only to have Dr. Spivey tell me the cause is likely me grinding my teeth. For the last 2 months it remained sore to the touch, and this past weekend it became abscessed. In the meantime they sent me a bill for $150, which I didn't pay until they got this tooth right only to have them turn me into a bill collector. (Now mind you, I have paid literally thousands, over $6500 in less than 2 years in full each visit to this office) & only wanted them to fix what's going on. Today I called to tell them it's abcesses & not only do I need an appt immediately but also antibiotics. The receptionists response was pay the $150 first & I'll help you! I'm in shock, seriously! Let me also mention I've had to have another crown put on since this one for the tooth next to it that THEY chipped while removing the temp on the one that's now abscessed. (Which I also paid over $2500 on the spot for). I would also like to mention EVERY time I've been in there they tell you one cost, do the work & then at the end tell you it was a billing "error" and charge you more!! Worst place ever!!!! read more
