Building a new house on LBI and needed the full complement of high end appliances. Corrine at Anchor was knowledgeable about all the manufacturer and product lines. We eventually chose Wolf/Subzero and Bosch appliances. Corinne provided contact for the NYC Wolf/Subzero showroom so we could see the exact products and get a better understanding of the use cases. Anchor was even amenable to holding the products purchased in March until late October when the house would be finally ready for install at no extra cost. When we finally had the units delivered, we realized that the refrigerator hinges needed to be on the opposite side (right hinge vs left). Corinne was able to have the refrigerator swapped for the correct one with no restocking fee or price changes, even 8 months later. When our fridge of 8 years was on its last legs, we researched on line then went to both big box stores. Then I visited Anchor to compare prices. Eric was very informative and guided me to options that worked for our small kitchen. I made a second trip to order after my husband and I discussed it and ordered a GE Profile French door cabinet depth. This morning Brad called, as expected, and arrived with another installer. Though i purchased 2 appliances from them over the years, when i tried to get them to service a cooktop , which came with the house, they declined servicing it because i didn't buy it from them. i live in a community of 1400 houses and i don't know where the builder bought his appliances from ( most likely direct from the manufacturer ). i will tell my neighbors of my situation, given that my development is 23 years old, the appliances will start to reach their service life and need maintenance or replacement. We had an extremely bad experience with Anchor. We purchased a stackable washer dryer 3 weeks ago. We live in upstate NY so we made arrangements to have the unit delivered on this past Wednesday, we were promised the Wednesday delivery. We confirmed it with Corrine . Wednesday arrives we get text message saying unit will be delivered between 3':45 and 5 pm, at 4:45 we get another text saying they would be there by 5:10. 5:10 comes and goes so I called the store to find out what the issue was. My sales person had left so Chuck took the call. He proceeded to tell us we weren't getting the delivery because it was scheduled for today Thursday. We tried to explain what we were told and that we had the text messages and bill of sale with delivery date. He didn't care, basically calling us liars. We told him we wanted to speak to the owner, he would not put us through to him. After going back and forth he hung up on us. I tried calling back and he continually hung up the call. I was able to find the owners contact info, left him 2 emails and a voice mail. He never responded. Their customer service in their sales department is by far the worst I've ever dealt with. I would strongly recommend not doing business with this company. They lie, and are unprofessional. We did take delivery today, in installation team we first rate. read more

I have used Anchor for my appliances in the past but never will again. Had to replace a filter in my fridge and ordered it from GE but it didn't work. Anchor came out and said a circuit board needed to be replaced. Fine. But they also said I had to use yet another new filter and not the one I got from GE. I had to buy yet another new one from them. Ok. But here's the problem: they charge double what GE charges for filters. $110 for a filter that is only supposed to last 6 months. They said all filters bought elsewhere don't work. I had Very bad experience at anchor , the owner (Jeremiah) reneges on the deals made by the sales person (Corrine) after they collected the $11,000 I paid in cash. Paying in cash vs credit card I didn't have much recourse when they didn't refund the $350 that the sales person stated I was entitled to receive as a refund after the restocking fee for exchanging a washer dryer that was too big to fit in my laundry room for a smaller less expensive model. He also tried to steal the dishwasher I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Theramador gave me for free when I purchased a $8,900 stove. (Ultimately I received the wrong model of dishwasher) The Owner is NOT honorable, professional, customer friendly and is very condescending to all. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANCHOR AGAIN AND SUGGEST ANYONE RESEARCHING THEM GOES ELSEWHERE. You can do much better at Appliance Gallery in Bayville or even Best Buy in Manahawkin and for repairs I would use AM Appliance service in Barnegat. I called back and the receptionist basically told me to leave a message and somebody would get back to me. I needed info right then. I went to Lowes and bought the exact same model that day! We purchased a Speed Queen washer from Anchor Appliance and have been very happy with the quick delivery & installation. They used the best hoses too. I had a Speed Queen washer & dryer at our former home, but the buyers wanted it included in the sale. I hated the washer that came with the house we purchased in Manahawkin. Bought a dishwasher/ over stove microwave in November but didn't need it installed until January. They dropped off the Appliances to the house but wouldn't come back to install. Rebate we were promised at purchase didn't work. Dishwasher was installed by plumber and has yet to work 100% out of the box. Per service tech they are recalled parts...2 mos later and 1 appt. with wrong parts, we're still waiting for parts/repair and if you call the nasty woman gives you a hard time about repairing it. We purchased three appliances from Anchor Appliance when we bought our home in 2005. we have had repeated problems with our front loading washer (part of the washer dryer pair we bought from them) and up until this year they have always come out and serviced the washer. Now this year when my wife called for service, the receptionist was rude and adamant about sending her away because according to Anchor Appliance's records we had never been their customer. To make matters even more insulting, the receptionist could find our record of service and when my wife said "if you only service the appliances you sell, why would we have a service record with you?" I went to their showroom and the salesperson was knowledgable and very helpful. I needed to replace an old wall oven - they sent someone out to measure and then Jeremiah called later that day to let us know our options as opposed to the oven that we originally picked out. Ended up with a much better product, the price given was much better than Home Depot or Loews and the installation was quick and easy and there was no extra charge for taking away the old oven. unfortunately I had a bad experience myself... I bought a washer and dryer as a set and they couldn't get me the dryer after 3 months so I asked them to take the washer back and start again.. they didn't want to originally but I spoke to Jeremiah and said he would. Fine. So I ordered another set.. not totally my first choice but I would be ok with it... Mind you this is 3 months after the sale. Eric was the salesman and fine for the most part... ok so I get the new washer and dryer and I see it cheaper at Lowes and send Eric an email... well they responded that they didn't charge me a restocking fee and gave me a year warranty. I know Eric was trying to be nice but I didn't ask for the year warranty. I wanted them price match and I shouldn't be charged a restocking fee anyway because it wasn't my fault they couldn't get the matching dryer. That was on Anchor. Also the receptionist were rude and didn't even know what they were talking about when they said I was told the dryer wasn't coming in for awhile. That was a total lie. Very dissatisfied with this business, bought a whole GE profile appliance package 2 years ago. The install on the fridge....1.3 months later I noticed my wood floors in kitchen have water damage, they come out and pull out fridge and I see the ice line is basically crushed bc of the way it was shoved in to the cabinet surround when installed. Floors ruined, no one has been able to come out to give me a quote to fix floors and the line. Now 2 years later and $1300 dishwasher motor has blown and now no dishwasher and NO help., they've been nothing but RUDE and argumentative to customers who paid almost $9k in appliances and told all the reasons to not buy from a big box store only to be treated like garbage now. This company is terrible! We had a very poor experience with one of the staff from anchor appliance. The man was extremely agitated and snarky. We were stuck in standstill traffic coming of LBI with our special needs son trying to get him home. I had asked my sister to drive as my son was having a severe meltdown. We were trying to escape the traffic so we had turned down onto a side street hoping that would be better which it wasn't, seemed like everyone had the same idea. We were able to turn around to go back to main road in LBI and we tried to merge back into traffic and this staff member from anchor appliance was extremely unkind and mean. He laughed at us trying to merge into his lane and pointed go to the end. That brought much upset me too to us. My sister and I both were angered by this man and called him an asshole. He responded by giving us the middle finger a few times. The vehicle behind him let us in and we were able to move through traffic quickly to get our son home. Horrible customer support and appreciation for customers. We spent $4,000 approx in June 2015. Had issue with refrig 2 years ago and 3 weeks ago with GE Microwave. They came out for service call, charged us $79 to say we needed new one. We said we would buy a new one, even though it would take Anchor 3-4 weeks for delivery, if they waived service call. Bob, the owner responded, he would waive $40. I suggested that he waive it all based on us being good customers and he was making a profit on microwave. Bob responded that "I only make $25 on the microwave". I asked Bob was he willing to lose a customer who spent a significant bit of money over the last 15 years for $14 ($39 more we asked that he deduct from service call minus $25 profit". We purchased a fridge/dishwasher/stove and microwave the beginning of the year. Everything was great while buying them. We received delivery when we wanted and had no issues until......the fridge door was bigger then the fridge when it was open, therefore it didn't fit. (Yes we did measure but was not told that the door swings out more) . They took it back, no problem until we went back the following day to get a different one. We ended up spending the same amount on a "downgraded" fridge and had to pay a "re-stocking fee" which was about $350 even though they sold the returned fridge the same day. (I know they did because my friends went to purchase it) The owner/manager Jeremiah is a real winner (dripping with sarcasm)!! All he did was bitch about how he is taking a loss and has no room for the returned fridge (which sold the same day). When you own a business sometimes you gotta take a loss. Clearly he needed that $$$ more the me. Also, they chipped our door while bringing the appliances in. NEVER came back to look at it or even offer to fix it !!! We went there because we like to by local. We will never shop there again!!! On a better note, the sales guy, Eric, was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Very bad customer service. Have been waiting for a dryer to be repaired since last week. The dryer was purchased brand new from them a little over a year ago and is now not working. This is the second time we have had a problem with the dryer. When someone from the store came out they said it was rewired and was crap and tried to get us to buy another one . Delivered and installed on time and without any problem. 5 years later, on July 3rd,. our electrulox refrigerator malfunctioned. NEVER BUY AN ELECTROLUX!!!!!) During the busiest time of the year for Anchor, they managed to lend us another refrigerator/ freezer and save our food and our 6 invited guess who were staying with us for a week from disaster. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Price was ok, delivery was on time. Employees were swift and quiet. No information was given until I asked as they were running out the door. They neglected to remove my laundry room door. In the process of removing old washer and dryer and bringing in the new machines, the door was damaged. I called JERIMIAH to inform him of what occured , his response was "THERE IS NO WAY MY GUYS COULD HAVE DONE THAT." !! I explained the part of the door that was damaged was facing out and perhaps they had not seen it. He didn't want hear a word. HE BLAMED THE CUSTOMER !!!! HE WAS RUDE, MEAN AND CONDESCENDING. I informed him it was an inexpensive door, more of a headache for me that could have easily been PREVENTED HAD HIS MEN TAKEN ONE MINUTE to REMOVE IT. It gets worse.
