This place did a good job on Alterations. They altered a shirt and pants and the service time was acceptable.

If zero stars was an option , Ana would get zero stars. She is the worst person to give your clothes for any alterations whether it is South Asian clothing or Western Clothing. She is never consistent with her time and never has your clothes done by the agreed pick up time. Ana has changed the time three times just so she can finish the alterations. During the agreed pick up time , another customer and I went to pick up our South Asian clothing and was frustrated that we came 10-15 minutes earlier than the final pick up time. Once the other customer with me told her she was no longer interested in giving her anymore business she replies " No education" then the customer in confusion questions her and says " You're saying I have no education? " and Ana replies " Yes you have no education" Ana clearly does not value her customers and discriminates against them. Personally , it just seems like Ana was projecting since her English is not very well spoken. Take your time and business to someone who does not belittle and degrade their customers. I have driven by this little hole in the wall alteration shop 2 to 3 times a week for a few years always thinking I should bring in clothes to be altered. I stopped in this morning on my way to Grand-ma-ma's house to drop off four articles to be altered. Ana greet me as I entered this little shop with 2 sewing and hundreds of every colour imaginable thread on bobbins. This lady said she could make 8 dresses for my daughters quinceanera. 3 months before the quinceanera she had them come in, put a deposit down when they got measured. June 23 she leaves on vacation. Left me streeeeeessssssed. My big event is july 18 and she would return july 13. So i went with a bk up plan. Thank God for marquez house of Brides. Ana was very kind when I stopped in to drop off a dress to have a minor alteration (minor enough that I could have done it myself if my time weren't so limited). I dropped it off on a Saturday morning and she promised it to be ready on Wednesday (4 days later). I told her I would not be back to town until the following Saturday. She said no problem. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to her hours and I got there too late to pick it up on Saturday. So, I sent my daughter to pick it up for me on Monday. she got there at about 3:00 p.m. and THE DRESS WASN'T DONE. It wasn't even STARTED yet. Ana went right to work on it, but I'll be curious to see what kind of quality work is turned out in ten minutes when you've had an item for 9 days. When I called the shop, while my daughter was still there, Ana told me that she only charged me $6 for the alteration (which is what she told me at the time I dropped it of), and hung up on me when I expressed my concern about the quality of the alteration. I believe I found my go-to alterations spot. Since I'm a short-stack, I usually have to get my clothes altered and so I brought a pair of jeans and a leopard-print, skin-tight dress to Ana's. I asked the receptionist if I could have both items altered about 3 1/2 inches and I was a little nervous about the dress since it seemed complicated to alter it. Her alterations made my clothes look like they were totally made for short people like me, and I'm super satisfied. She also had it finished when she said she would, which I appreciate. Horrible, I will never go there again. The first time I went there she had to resew a button on my shirt because she added buttons and they were already falling off when I arrived to pick my shirt up. It takes her weeks just to sew up so up a little rip. She told me my jeans would be ready on Saturday. I came to pick them up on Monday, because I know she's really slow and she told me she hadn't even started them. I asked so why didn't you call me? She said maybe because I'm really busy. I told her so you're really busy for a five-second phone call to let me know they're not ready yet? Called and spoke with Owner Friday evening about the availability to hem some trousers for a job interview on Tuesday so I dropped them off on Saturday morning .I asked them if they would have them ready by Monday evening to try on just in case they needed to be altered anymore. Arrived at 630 on Monday evening and low and behold they have not been touched.When I asked them why they haven't been hemmed they said they could do it right then. A simple hem cannot be completed by this establishment in 3 days. I ended up completing the hem myself. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I'm constantly having my pants altered due to my height and was looking for a local shop. Unfortunately, I'm still on the search. I would not recommend coming here for the following reasons. -I was told 3 days and upon arrival to pick up, they were not finished. Not even a courtesy heads up phone call. -While I was in the shop they were searching for a ladies dress through piles of clothing. They had no clue where it was as clothes are randomly placed through out the shop. -I came back 4 days later and my pants were still not finished! The guy there recommended that I take them to the dry cleaners to have them pressed. I was handed my wrinkled pants with loose thread clippings from other peoples clothing. No hanger, pressed, with protective plastic. But fine, it was a mom/pop shop that's less expensive. Or so I thought! The quote I was originally was given increased 50%!!! I voiced my displeasure but to no avail. At this point it wasn't worth my time or energy. Lesson learned and I won't be coming here again. Make sure if you're foolish enough not to take my advice, at least have them write down the quoted price. So at least you have proof! read more

worst experiance ive ever had. I brought my wedding dress to her along with my maid of honor's dress. it was friday February 17th she fitted us both my wedding dress needed to b hemmed, taken in from the bust, i wanted a more dramatic sweetheart top, and it was going to be altered from my chest down to my upper thigh to be form fitting to my body. the maid of honor dress need to be altered from the bust and the sides, both of the dresses were going to have a built in bra added as well. we told ana that we needed the wedding dress back asap cause it still needed to be dry cleaned. she said it would be finished the following friday at 12pm. she called me that friday and said it wouldnt b finished till 4pm and i said that was fine. the maid of honor and i showed up at 6pm and no one was there it said it was open until 8pm. i then noticed she left me a message at 4:15 saying that the dress wouldnt be done till tomorrow and she doesnt think my wedding was tomorrow so she hopes that would be okay and to call if it was going to be a problem. i called and her husband answered and said they were at lunch. i told him i was going out of town early tomorrow morning and i needed it that night cause it still needed to be cleaned. the husband said i could either wait til they were finished eating or come back tomorrow and that the dress wasnt finished anyways. i then explained that his wife told me 12pm then 4pm and now not til tomorrow and i didnt think that was right of her, he then hung up on me. i called back and he answered and hung up. by this point i was really upset so i called and his wife answered and said she will be there in 5min. once she got there she said she would work late and have it finished at 8pm. when we went back to get it i tried it on and it was so tight that the beading on my left hip was falling apart at the seams, the hem was cricked, and the bust part was just as big as when i brought it in. i was shaking and crying and didnt know what to do. my maid of honor tried on her dress and it looked good her chest was just popping out but we assumed thst was cause the built in bra. when i got out of the dressing room with the maid of honor she was already working on my wedding dress, i asked her to please stop what she was doing and that i was taking it somewhere else. she got up ripped out the built in bra and took a blade to all the stitching she did, then threw my dress on the counter. at that moment i asked if she has started on any of my bridesmaid dresses and she said no so i asked for them back as well she gave them to me, never looked me in the eyes or say sorry. i was in such disbelief that this had happen, when i took it to the other seamstress she thought my dress was from the 2nd hand store and said it was the worst job shes ever seen, we then came to find out the built in bra that was put in my maid of honor dress was upside down and he dress had to get redone, it looked way different from the other girls dresses cause of the way ana sewed it. worst customer service ive ever encountered would not recommend!! read more

I came in june to get my dress fittings for a wedding in October and assuming that ot woulf be ready by then and we came in September for our second fitting and according to lady would be done in 2wks. By Monday she was going to have the dresses ready qnd turn out to be not ready with any dresses. Everyone to go on friday by 7pm the day before wedding. She called saying to come by 8:30 and we went and still not done. Some of bride's maids got dresses earlier and some later. Some of the dresses were too tight and big on chest area. This was my first time going to an alteration shop, and I had to get an expensive skirt altered, when I first went in the lady seemed really nice and looked like she could get the job done, which was to decrease the size of the waist and length. I told her to be extra careful because it was an expensive skirt, but when when I went to go pick it up the store said it opened at 10 am and I sat and waited for 30 minutes then I came back and the the hem looked disgusting, there was thread everywhere and she did a very bad job, she said she would fix I asked her for the pricing and she said $15-$20, since I was able to pick it up because I live 40 minutes away my mom was in town so I asked her to pick it up and check it but what really made me angry was that she charged my mom $40, and she took more time then she should have! I don't recommend this place. I took my jeans(2) in on a Thursday or Friday and asked the guy how long it would take to get them hemmed. He said they should be done by Wednesday next week. I agreed. On Wednesday during lunch time, I walked in there and saw that my bag of clothes haven't been touched. It was still at the same placed he set them from the week before. I asked for my jeans and he didn't know what I was talking about. I pointed to my bag and handed him the slip. He didn't apologize for not having them done. He said he can have them done the next day. I was furious but still gave them another chance to fix it. I left my jeans there AGAIN. The next day at 10am I called to see if they were done and reminded him that I was going to pick them up during my lunch time. He said no problem because she's working on them at the moment. At lunch, I went to get them and they weren't done!!!! WTF!!!! She was like, can you just wait a little bit?! I didn't have a choice so i waited for my pants. I still paid full price for my pants and they just gave me looks instead of apologizing for their mistakes. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. This place was horrible. Not only were they late getting my daughters Senior prom dress done, but they ruined a $260.00 dress. By the end of the evening all the seems on the lining were torn out because she made the the dress too tight and the stitching was so bad. And when I went back to see if they'd make it right by refunding the 70.00 or fixing the dress, they were extremely rude and loud. They called me a liar and refused to do anything to help me. The husband even went so far as to tell me "go ahead and complain, social media sucks A@@ anyway!" The son wanted to see a time stamp on my pictures because to prove the dress was ruined before the prom. Just the actual photos weren't good enough? I will never go to this place again, I wish I could give them a -1 star. read more

Never, EVER come here! This lady is completely unprofessional! I brought my wedding dress to her hoping that she could fix it, and she assured me she could do it. I dropped it off almost two months ago and it was guaranteed to me by the 20th. At 2:00PM on the 20th I called because I was concerned that I hadn't heard from her. She then asked if my last name was Reed, asked if I brought two dresses, asked if it was covered in lace. After 15 minutes on the phone she finally found it and told me that it it would be ready by the 22nd and to come in at 12:00PM. I went there today and she said "Oh, I thought you were coming at 4:00PM? We talked earlier about it." UH NO WE DID NOT. Come to find out SHE HAD DONE NOTHING TO MY DRESS. Thank god because if she had butchered it I would have been livid (even more so). So if you want a professional handling your clothing (especially your wedding dress) DO NOT COME HERE. I have taken it to several places and they all said that they were unable to replace the zipper. She closes when she pleases (twice I went to pick them up and she was closed). After over 2 weeks (was supposed to be one week) I finally was able to get there when she was actually open. Terrible service went there in June to have a bridesmaid dress made for a wedding in October.... Not only did she not finish it.... She called the bride two days before to say she couldn't work with me. She messed up my dress, it had stains on it..... she couldn't even make the dress that was in the magazine that she showed us...That she said she could..... She did me a favor by saying she couldn't finish it.... At least my dress wasn't as shitty..Becky's tried to salvage it.... If Anna would have finished it probably wouldn't have fit me at all. Good thing she had me come in for 3 fittings.....Biggest waste of time ever. A huge thank you to Becky's Custom Sewing who had to stay up til after midnight to fix Anna's mistakes. While Anna's shop was closed by 11pm knowing she still had bridesmaids dresses to finish!!!Maybe if she would of stayed open a little longer to finish the dresses the Maid of Honor could of walked down the aisle with us.. :( Waste of a $120.00!!! DONT EVER COME HERE!! The people here are so unprofessional. I dropped off four pairs of jeans here to be patched for tears and was told that they would be ready the following Tuesday. I called Tuesday after noon to see if they were ready yet and was first put on hold for almost 15 minutes while they could not find my jeans. Getting tired of holding I called back and waited another 10 minutes until they finally found my jeans. I was told they were not ready yet and to come in at 4 to get them. I came back at 5 to be safe and they still had no idea where my jeans were and they were not even worked on at all. I was then told to wait another hour for them. I was upset by this because I had to drive quite a ways to pick up the jeans and I communicated this to the people working here. They did not seem to care and so I left in an upset mood. I decided to wait in my car as I did not feel like wasting more gas and after about 10 minutes the lady who owns the shop came out and told me to get my clothes and that she could not fix them. I was confused and did not know why she was saying this. And when I went inside she told me she did not have time. I believe that they were offended by me being upset with them about having to wait another hour. Very unprofessional service and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

this is my first time getting a bridesmaid dress made instead of going to davids bridal, this was the worst experience ever, after going 4 times to get fitted, over and over, my dress was sooooo freaken tight that i could not even sit well at all, even the zipper was crooked from most of the bridesmaid consisting of 13, this was settled back in early summer, if she could of been honest since day 1 and just say its too much for me, i cant do it, we would of never had any problems,2 bridesmaid dresses were delivered to the brides home at 1 am, ridiculous!!! unbelievable, and the maid of honors dress was done the same day of the wedding and because of this ladys fault, the maid of honor was super late to the church, and she still had us pay full price, , please people, take a road trip to roseville or sacramento and get your dresses somewhere where they are organized, clean and on time!!!!! because of my experience if i can give this shaq 0 stars as a rating i would, dont waste ur time and gas money coming here, is not worth it. and read the reviews, lesson learned.
