Shaker was able to widen the waistband so that they now fit correctly. He did a beautiful job on what was a very hard fix. Then I gave him three Kashmir wool blend skirts. At one point in my life I was a size 20. Now I'm a size 8. Shaker took all three skirts and made them a size 8. they look beautiful and they fit great. can't say enough about his , professionalism, his kindness, patience, and his skill. His price's are exceedingly reasonable. And he's so easy to work with. I highly highly highly recommend him. And he has a beautiful family.

It had been a long time since I bought a cocktail dress so I wasn't really sure what size I wore, but thought it would work. I was very disappointed when I tried it on because it was way too big and made me look like a dumpy old lady. I hoped I could get it altered, but the only dressmaker I knew was far too busy due to bridal season. Yelp to the rescue! I chose Mila based on her positive reviews and I'm so glad I did. I immediately felt comfortable with her and was confident she would be able to make the necessary adjustments, even though they were not exactly straightforward. The waist needed to be taken in and lifted, the tank style lace shoulder straps shortening, and I didn't want to lose the pockets, which made it more complicated. Mila said she could complete it in two weeks and the quote was very reasonable. When I returned to pick it up I put the dress on and I was completely blown away by what a great job she did! I loved the dress as it was now very flattering and accentuated my shape. I highly recommend Mila for her kindness, professionalism, and--most of all--expertise in her craft!

I initially chose a less expensive seamstress for my wedding dress alterations, and unfortunately, the neckline was completely botched and uneven. With my wedding only being 1 month away, this was a huge disappointment and caused an unnecessary additional amount of stress. I brought my dress to Carole, who was recommended by the bridal shop, and she was an absolute pleasure. She fixed the neckline beautifully and, while working on the dress, also noticed that the original bustle had been poorly done and was likely to break. Only 1 button for all that fabric (right where my bottom hits the chair), I mean come on! Carole fixed it beautifully with a French bustle. Before and after photo below. What I appreciate most is that she was willing to take on someone else's work and fix it, even though I had originally passed on her because her quote was higher. After seeing the love and quality she put into my dress, I truly wish I had just gone with her from the beginning! She was professional, knowledgeable, and so so kind. I'm forever grateful she was able to save my wedding dress so I could wear it with no regrets on my special day! I am truly so appreciative of Carole and the work she put into my gown. She guided me on how to travel to Mexico with my dress and gave me the confidence to do so. I am so over the moon that I was able to wear my mom's dress for my mom and the rest of my family in Mexico.
