Let me start by saying that we have an 8 month old puppy. use your imagination to picture what our carpets have gone through in the last 6 months. We have had lots of things on it that we just won't even talk about. And cleaned it with resolve, OxyClean and even a huge bissel cleaner thing (which made EVERY stain bigger) We had company was scheduled to visit, it was time to commit to carpet cleaning before they arrived and teased us for letting our new 4 legged baby ruin our carpet. I bought the Groupon special to have my carpets cleaned before I moved out, and I was so pleased with how it came out (in fact I wish I'd done it earlier so I could've enjoyed the nice carpets while living there). I hate to give a 1 star review but I am SO disappointed with this company. Completely waste of money. Although the guy who came to clean our carpet was nice, he didn't get rid of the 3 dirty spots on our bedroom carpet. He told us that if it still looks dirty the following day, to call him back and he will come and clean again for FREE. So I called this company once, left a voicemail. Never heard back. Called the second time and left a voicemail - never called back. The third time my husband called and finally got a hold of a lady. He explained the situation. She said she'll call us back, and how surprising - never heard back! I am looking forward to hearing back from the owner, and more importantly I want my $103 back. read more

My carpet was new when we bought our house about one year ago. It wasn't high quality, so I wasn't expecting tremendous results. I was disappointed that I didn't see any difference. The tech told me it would lighten up. Since this is a dry cleaning process, they put what looks like a gold colored, wet sawdust on the carpet, which they vacuum up. I was pleased that it left the carpets only damp, since I live near the water. What I didn't realize is that they leave a tremendous amount of residue in the carpet!!! You will be vacuuming this stuff out of your carpets for some time!! You can tell its their product because of the color in your vacuum canister. If I had kids, I would steer clear of this product!! They are putting stuff in your carpet instead of taking it out!! Steer clear! read more

Polite, prompt service. Cleaned white berber beautifully, even the parts where there were puppy stains. Pride of ownership for this business is apparent as they made sure the job was done right. They took the initiative to re-treat several areas in order to remove the black 'runway' stains in high traffic areas and over the stairs before I even knew about it. I am fairly sensitive to cleaning chemicals so it had been 4 years since I had the carpets cleaned. Very reasonably priced period, but especially for the great work they do. No chemical odor when done (super bonus for me!) and stays dry so we were able to resume 'life with kids' immediately after! We purchased a Groupon for Anacapa, and I'm glad we did. They have EXCELLENT communication, first of all... they send email reminders, which I found very helpful. He arrived on time, and was friendly. He explained the process, and was on his way. It took about an hour, then another hour for the absorbent part. It was dry really fast... like an hour, tops. My carpets look great. I wish there had been a better concentration on the high traffic areas... I still can see a dark hue at the border where the carpet ends and wood begins, but that's typical. Our carpet is old and has endured our two inside dogs and many wine stains. I was a bit skeptical of the type of cleaning, since it is 'dry' and I was worried it wouldn't be strong enough to get all the crud out of ours...but we are amazed at how well it worked!! We have used Anacapa carpet cleaning a few times now. Service is great, Stanley is always prompt, courteous and easy going. We used to have the regular soak your carpet with water guys come out and clean, but this is a much better process. Our carpets always look cleaner, smell fresh and since they use organic products our kids and dog are safe too. I just used Anacapa Carpet Cleaning, and was really happy with their service and result. The carpets were really clean, and no residue left behind, which was my main concern with other cleaning companies that use soap or some other detergent with water. The enzymes they use are just barely moist, so the minute they are done with cleaning, you can actually walk on the carpet. No sticky feeling afterwards, and the carpet felt nice and clean. Would recommend again. The owner was very nice, very responsive in regards to answering all my questions, he lifted and moved couches, and other small furniture pieces, which was very helpful. We used Anacapa Carpet Cleaning to come out and clean our carpets before we had our move-out inspection.
