This winery was on our Sonoma wine tour, was ok, small homey ambience, boutiquey I should say. Whites were ok, reds not too memorable. Hostess was kind, informative and nice. read more

Came here recently and had a great tasting. We sat out on their deck and the wine was consistently brought over to us. Our server was super nice, knowledgeable, and had a good sense of humor. All the wines we tried were delicious. Well, I wasn't a big fan of the dessert wines but other than that the whites and pinots were excellent. I would have given Anaba 5 stars, but I really dislike when wineries don't waive the tasting fee with the purchase of one bottle. Anaba charges for the tasting unless you purchase two bottles. My husband and I weren't about to buy 4 bottles between the two of us...but we still had a great time. I'd highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. read more

We were instructed to go here by another winery, and I'm glad we did. I'm no wine expert, but I loved the Pinot Noirs here. The Viognier was also delicious. We had a friendly pourer, and were enjoying our conversations with him until the place got crowded and he had to tend to others. Glad we stopped in and wished we would've bought a bottle. read more

There is a Yelp and Foursquare coupon for this place. Apparently it doesn't work for groups - yet it's not in any fine print anywhere. Dwight helped our group do the full tasting. We did it outdoors as it was an awesome morning with little wind. Unfortunately bugs kept interrupting our tasting as they were flying into glasses. The service was good, still. The wine tasting flight our group did was good as well. It's a quaint little tasting room with gorgeous outdoor views. read more

My wife and I happened into Anaba somewhat randomly, and only because they were on way to another spot. I'm so glad we came in, because the wine is quite good, at least to my palate! After our initial visit, we came back quickly with another group to do a full tasting experience. And boy, it was awesome. Betty was our pourer. Betty is an older gent, with a truly epic mustache, fabulously tacky ties, and the attitude and sense of humor to match. He introduced us to the term "Porch Pounder," wine that you can sip for hours on the porch because they're just so darn drinkable. He also told us that he wasn't going to tell us what to taste because everyone has a different palate and a different history with food, wine, and influencers, so what he gets from a wine, we might not, and vice versa. In other words, he validated our experiences, even (especially) if they were different from his own. And I really liked that. Betty was great, and so was the wine. My wife and I walked out with several bottles both times we visited, including the Turbine Red and the Aero Port. Go get 'em Tiger, it's a great little spot and an easy stop on the way to or from Sonoma proper. read more

We came out to wine country for a long weekend getaway, and were pleasantly surprised with Anaba. After a full weekend of wine tastings this was our last stop before heading back home. It is very apparent that they really care about providing a great wine with an exceptional experience, as they are a newer winery in the Sonoma area. Pauly was very welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we stepped in the door with a tasting and some fantastic recommendations! After many visits to wineries over the weekend this was one that stood out above the rest. The passion, generosity, and stunning venue make this stop a top notch place to visit when in the area. read more

First time in Sonoma and Anaba was a fabulous start! My girlfriends and I had such a wonderful time and our host of the afternoon Paulie was awesome! Recommend the tasting! read more

First and foremost, brava. The wine is fantastic, the company, better. Buck took our group above and beyond and assisted during our tasting more than we could have imagined. He had insight about every wine and even recommended our next stops which ultimately decided our fate for the rest of the day. Thank you, Anaba! Better yet, thank you, Buck! Until next time! read more

Anaba Wines - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Sonoma, California

After a long day in Sonoma- Napa, it was a good finishing touch to our trip. A small, quite, and, of course, friendly staffed winery. Location: For me, the location is alright. It's very hard to get on a parking lot. I would suggest them to make a parking lot more car friendly. Space: Yes, space is tiny. But it's good enough to rest after a good day in Sonoma-Napa. Only one table - I wold suggest them to put a woodem long table and couple more chairs. The fireplace - the main reson I didn't want to leave. A good glass of wine and sitting right next to a working fireplace (when it's chilly outside) - I would call it a heaven. Wine: Only one wine to describe their wine - "good". I even bought the bottle of wine. I do recommend to come to this winery before you hit the road back home. read more

Wonderful time here. First of all I love small wineries. I love being able to actually sit down why I drink my wine and not having to worry about some drink person accidentally falling on me or stepping on me (which yes both have happened in other winery tastings). We sat out on a patio overlooking the beautiful Sonoma valley. Most of the wines were just okay to me until we happened upon their dessert wines -- which typically I don't like. We purchased a bottle of their port and a bottle of their late harvest viongner. Lots of fruit flies as we were out on the patio our particular day. read more

Four years ago I picked Anaba winery to bring friends visiting from Colorado, because they preferred white wines and I heard Anaba excelled there. Four years ago I had a 5-star experience: ebulliently friendly service and reasonable prices. But last weekend just felt OK. The good: -they're the first Northern California winery whose electricity is mostly generated by the wind turbines in their vineyards. Pretty nifty, huh? -unique flavor profiles. The white "Aero Port" is as inventive as it is delicious. They grow less-common grapes and make tasty options for before, during or after a meal. -small winery, more boutique experience. The bad: -Their prices jumped a lot in the years since my last visit. I don't want to spend $35 for a chardonnay, no matter how interesting it is. -The wine club? Minimum 6 bottles, 3 times/year, and only gives a 15-20% discount on retail price. -Most wineries waive tasting fees with purchase of *one* bottle. But this one requires you to purchase two! -Flies in the tasting room were all over the breadsticks and our glass. It didn't seem like anyone had even tried to trap them. I think I just got disappointed by my amazing first-visit memories. Nothing was terrible here, and the wine is still nice, but their recent successes seem to have lent an attitude to the experience that's perhaps better suited to Napa County than Sonoma County. With so many other wineries, I'll be hard-pressed to come back soon. read more

Lovely and quite unexpected! Beautiful covered deck overlooking garden and vineyards. Tasting room personnel were terrific -- a particular shot-out to Paul, who was as good as it gets! Wines were absolutely lovely. Very Burgundian approach to chardonnay and pinot noir. The Rhone blends are excellent. And last but not least, the wines are extremely well priced. I've driven by Anaba a thousand times without stopping. So glad that I finally stopped. read more

Spectacular location! Great service. Tasting is $15 for about a 1oz pour of 6 different wines. A Viognier, a chard, a white blend (Rhone style), two Pinot Noir and a Roussane. read more

Anaba Wines - Beautiful view - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Sonoma, California

Enjoyed my tasting at Anaba! We had a large group on July 4th, and they set us up with an outdoor table and a great tasting selection. The staff is really friendly, patient with the large group, and allowed each person to pay individually which was convenient. I've also come here without a reservation and it was easy to get a spot in the tasting room. Nicely located near other wineries as well. read more

Me and my group came 7 of us and the host was so rude and unaccommodating i felt like he was racial profiling since we are Asian American and said we did not have a reservation there was NO ONE in the place ?! Why did we need a reservation we are only one in there. He said it so rude and unwelcoming do not come read more

My mom and I did a wine tour to celebrate her new retirement and Anaba was our favorite of the 3 we visited. There is something to be said about a tasting that is not only informative but also just a good, relaxing time! I'm sure it's even more charming in the evening with all the twinkle lights. Pauly was awesome! read more

I love Anaba's Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Since they have pinot noir from different vineyards, it offers a great opportunity to compare soil types and growing conditions has on taste from the same varietal of grape. This is the first time I received a discount coupon on 2 bottles from Yelp after using the check-in feature. read more

Informative. Welcoming. Delicious! Alan poured for us. Excellent customer service. Very knowledgeable about the product. You can tastes indoors or at the outdoor patio with views. Intimate, home-like atmosphere with a splash of humor (check out art in the bathroom). Wines are very tasty! They will even pour the same varietal back to back so you may appreciate different expressions of a single grape. One of our best stops! read more

Lovely garden. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice to taste some Rhone blends in the heart of Pinot and Chard country.

Great and very laid back place, and very convenient to get to. The wines are great, and the people here are very friendly! We come back every time we're in Sonoma! read more

My wife and I had a very pleasant and relaxing tasting at Anaba. The winery is very quaint and offers a great outdoor tasting with a view as good as the wine poured. Susan was a delight. She was both knowledgeable and hospitable. Susan explained the winery's sustainability approach with 80% of the power produced by the wind turbine stimulated by the late afternoon Anabatic winds (how the winery got their name). Our favorite pour was the late harvest Viognier. It was the perfect pairing with the bleu cheese recommendation from Susan. We will be back. read more

I made a reservation ahead of time, and the winery was able to accommodate us to arrive a bit later, which was great. The wines were good. I am loving all of Sonoma's Chardonnay's and Pinot Noirs. We were a group of four women and we were placed in a back room, that was used for storage. It was nice to have our own private space, but I think that we were forgotten about several times. Our server was not very friendly, and bordered on rude at times which was disappointing because the wines were lovely. Not sure that I would go back. read more

Fantastic wines, fantastic vibes. Out of the three places we visited, this one had our fave wines. Don't miss it.

5 stars for Michael. He was knowledgeable, friendly (but not obtrusive), and funny. The setting was quiet and relaxing. The Anaba wines were good. read more

First off let me say I'm a sucker for the small non commercial winery's and restaurants, that s why Ive enjoyed several trips to Anaba. Their wines are very good and priced extremely reasonable for how good they are. The tasting room is small but cozy and the staff was very friendly and not snobby like most other winery's Ive been to. I have never seen any of their wines at any stores or super markets( trust me i looked) but i guess its because they are a fairly new winery and don't produce that many cases. I would highly suggest stopping by for a tasting if your in the area or planing a trip to the north bay. Cheers The Overlord read more

I wish I remembered the tasting room attendant. I might be making this up, but Tammy was so polite and so nice she made the experience a million times better. All of the wines were exceptional and I would most definitely recommend Anaba if you're in the area or in San Francisco. It's a short drive from San Francisco, totally worth it. read more

just off the big intersection of 116 and 121, this place was picked completely at random because we were turned away at a couple of vineyards we tried to visit prior. we were either too late or there was a private event! :( one vineyard that shall remain nameless actually turned us away at 4:28pm when they closed at 4:30pm! WOW! how's THAT for a little Sonoma County hospitality!? i don't know the places up in sonoma as well as napa so i was kinda shooting in the dark. i didn't expect much from Anaba because of it's proximity to the busy intersection however i was impressed. they had an nice little outdoor patio that faced the hills. when sitting there you had no idea the roads and traffic weren't too far away. they had indoor seating as well in case the sun was too hot. the outdoor seating and wines were great. free almonds and chocolate wasn't a bad touch either. i bought the rose for variety but i liked the oaky chardonney and the bigger reds as well. read more

Located at the busy corner of Highways 116 and 121 is the new Anaba tasting room. The outside of this place is cute. The patio seating is also nice but obviously very loud because of all the street traffic. That's not so nice. More importantly, there is a group of very attractive young ladies running this joint so that's a plus if you're a dude (or a girl if that's your thing). The wines are tasty. The 90+ point Chardonnay is worth stopping in for just on it's own. The tasting room, however, is BARE. Like totally naked! With the exception of a few shirts on one of the walls, there's nothing. No art, no chachskis, no NOTHING. So it's not really "warm" or "inviting" per se. But when wine tasting, the wines should be what matters, right? This place has good wine - and good service, too; very friendly, knowledgeable people. Especially, Kat and Stephanie. read more

Hidden gem perfectly describes Anaba. My sister first found this winery at the end of a disappointing tasting event, and it changed her outlook of the day completely. Like the moment after a day of wasted effort when one stumbles onto a treasure.....a hidden gem! When she brought me here, I finally understood why she raved of this place. From the great wines to the staff that pours them, Anaba creates an unforgettable escape from the world the moment you set foot into it's boutique tasting room. Each wine possesses its own character and personality, enticing you to sip a new pour to find what surprises it offers. But you do it at your own pace, with not a hint of rushing from the staff. Minutes easily become an hour when you are enjoying a Chard or Pinot or Grenache while laughing over stories told. Ending the tasting with such delicious dessert wines and a chocolate sauce made with their red port will have you wishing that time stood still just a moment longer. read more

Anaba is casual, low-key and non-pretentious. After a FULL day of tastings we visited Anaba and it was just what we were looking for. We loved the informal and relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the lovely patio facing the hills! (We had no idea we were near a highway but for reading the other reviews after the fact). Our server was friendly and the owner spent a little time at our table. Very cool! After visiting all the fancy big name places -- I have to say, I really enjoy the smaller independent vineyards. Shout Out to Beau Tours, who brought us to Anaba as it was not even on our radar. How can I resist? . . . ."Carrie Ann Anaba - 9!" read more

Susan was our server today she was absolutely amazing. The wines were delicious the view was lovely overall wonderful experience!

Delicious Burgundy and Rhone styled wines all sourced in Sonoma County. Their dessert wines are also off the hook.

A pleasant lowkey Carneros tasting room, makes its production in the 8th Street industrial park then carts it out here to a little house on a busy intersection for some tasting. Nothing about the wines excited me especially but I did like the location and informality. If you're planning a trip from the East Coast I wouldn't spend all month planning to come here, but if you're in the neighborhood and it's open it's worth a stop-by. read more

I really loved this place. The wines were great and the cost was super affordable. We even got five dollars off with the Yelp check in deal! The space feels secluded and the patio is so comfortable.
