I was a mom on a mission...a Valentine's card for my son and his fiancee who live in Raleigh. I had tried EVERYWHERE in the Carrollwood area...nothing appropriate...had to expand my search. I googled Hallmark and came up on Amy's in Citrus Park....I FORGOT ABOUT THEM....but it was a bit of a drive for a card, so I called. Sam answered the phone, I told him about my mission. He put me on hold, went to the rack, came back to the phone with what he thought was a perfect card....I almost cried! Now, that's customer service...that's professionalism!! I drove right out there and was greeted by Sam and Angie. I think they could tell I was "Crazy Lady," a name I am known by.... they were SO welcoming as I came in. Sam had the card waiting for me at the register. Well, I couldn't resist browsing the store...so much great stuff, so well displayed...made shopping easy. I went out with not only my one card, but another card and some Hallmark ornaments!! Thank you, Amy's, for having a terrific team in Sam and Angie!! I know, in future visits, I will meet more members of your team!!! In fact, when I couldn't read my handwriting of the second name, called, and she understood my peril and tried to figure out who was on with Sam that day; she guessed it was Angie, but suggested I call back to make sure!. Very nice store. It's large, bright, and the staff are personable and helpful. They know their inventory, so if you want something in particular, ask and you shall receive. I stopped in because of the sale tables outside. I've been looking for gifts for young ones, and I don't mean to be cheap, but gifts to young ones usually get appreciated once and that's it. I found a Gotham City book and puzzle for a Batman lover. The price was right! They also had beautiful, nice smelling candles for good prices for the adults in my life. Hallmark is one of my favorite stores. I really enjoy coming here and getting cards. They have a variety of selection. It's located inside the mall and it can be a hassle to get here depending on where you park because you can walk across the whole mall to get here. It's on one of the ends so could be a hassle. I believe if you park by Dillard's it's then closest. I parked by Macy's and it's basically by the other end so not by Macy's. So who doesn't love a Hallmark store! I mean they used to be everywhere but now, you're lucky if you can find one. They are overpriced but also have some nicer things. We visited this location a few weeks ago and my daughter found a Simply Southern shirt that she loved but they didn't have her size. So we went home and I ordered online for in-store pickup in order to save the shipping charges. Took about a week for the item to arrive so when it did we went to the mall and picked it up. Easy process! The next day, she un-boxed it and put it on only to find that there was a big hole in the armpit of the shirt. We placed it back in the box and headed to the mall to do an in-store exchange (most retailers do this, right)!? Well, let it be known that Hallmark DOES NOT do in-store exchanges/returns for items ordered online. Per the clerk, they wouldn't even know what to do w/the item and I'd have to ship back to process the return and something about a $5 fee when I ship it back. She could tell I was irritated so she also advised me to call the 800 number on the order slip and see if they could assist. I have to be honest when I left the store, I felt very irritated and my husband was even saying that if they cannot help with a defect product then we could simply do a chargeback w/the credit card company. We sat in the middle of the mall for me to make the call. Angela picked up and after explaining my situation, she was very calm and friendly and explained that the clerk was correct that the stores cannot take exchanges or returns for items ordered online however that there is no fee and there is a label in the box that I would use to send the package back. Angela advised that she was going to take care of my situation and process the return w/me on the phone and put a note to have them ship ASAP without receiving the damaged goods back first. I asked if there was anyway she could tell me ETA on ship date or when it'll be received by me since this was part of my daughter's Halloween costume. She said she couldn't tell me that but that she was going to have it shipped directly to my home instead of the store to save time and make it more convenient. She asked me to take a picture of the damage and email care@hallmark.com w/the picture and case number she provided me and that would also help to speed up the process. I thanked her and even waited for the survey so that I could leave good feedback for her assistance in making a bad situation better. As soon as I got home, I took a picture of the damage and sent the email off. Within 1 hour, I had a reply to the email to my amazement. And they told me that they thanked me for the picture and shipped out the product via expedited shipping with ETA for delivery this Tuesday. What I thought was going to turnout to be a huge ordeal and poor service turned out really positive. Great job on your service, Hallmark. I would recommend better training for your in-store staff so that customers don't leave your store thinking negatively and not wanting to shop at your stores any longer. Or perhaps changing the business model to include in-store exchanges/returns to make it easier on the customer. Many other retailers offer this option in today's technology driven environment where consumers turn to the internet to place their orders and pickup in-store to save on shipping....so why not help the consumer by allowing for in-store returns/exchanges, especially for defective merchandise. read more

I tried to shop here today, Feb. 28, 2018, but the Yelp map puts this store in the northeast corner of Citrus Park Mall (which is a HUGE mall). Unfortunately, there is no Hallmark store anywhere near the northeast corner (by Macy's). There is, however, an Amy's Hallmark store in the SOUTHWEST corner of the mall, about as far away from its map location as you can get and still be in the same mall. It is closer to JCPenney's and Dillard's. Still more unfortunately, it was closed today. I was there at 11:10 am. And No, today is not a Sunday, when they open at noon. It is a Wednesday, when the sign on the door and their webpage all say they open at 10 am. No temporary sign, no explanation. Maybe they are permanently closed? No way to tell. I ended up shopping at CVS. Very unhappy! read more

Drove all the way to the mall on second Saturday before Christmas just for one card (birthday card for my mother). Did this to get the gold seal they give you for their cards because it adds a touch of class to the card. I heard the other clerk offer her customer seals for all the cards in the box of Christmas cards she bought. I went to the wrong clerk. I was not asked if I would like a seal at all. When I asked if a seal was put in my bag, I was told one was. Prepare for the big shock: there was no seal. Should have just picked up a card at Publix. That is what my mom is going to think I did anyway. I should just start doing that because this joint is going to be out of business if they don't change their ways soon. This poor level of service and lack of caring is typical of this store. I so miss the Hallmark shop in Carrollwood Village. I wish someone would open a shop in a more convenient location and do it right. read more

The sales associate was very helpful in asking if I needed help. A product I was looking for was out of stock! But it was the same case all around. I needed to return a product I purchased and had no issues. I would greatly return for my future needs. read more

I used to work at a Hallmark store in Illinois. We were trained to greet every customer that walks through the doors, ask them if they need help finding anything, etc. Imagine my surprise when I shopped here that not one person greeted me when I came in. I was in the card section for quite some time, and an employee or manager (not sure which), walked by me and did not ask if I needed help finding anything. I was shocked at the lack of customer service at this location. The first time I came here, there were 2 employees that were arguing with each other on the sales floor, about not clocking in on time, which made me feel uncomfortable. Nobody goes out of their way to give any personal attention to what you are shopping for. Unfortunately, I have an ornament pre-order at this location. I will most likely, be withdrawing my wish list, and taking my business to another Hallmark store that truly cares about having me as a regular customer. read more
