We were moving to LB and needed a new pediatrician for our daughter, we found her office through Yelp and were not sure how it would be. When we visited for the first time the staff was very kind and made us feel very welcomed! I forgot the nurses name, but we had the same nurse twice and she is so sweet! Dr. Tran is also AMAZING! She was engaging with my 4 month old and my daughter LOVES IT! She was all smiles when Dr. Tran would talk to her. I love how she would take a couple seconds between our own conversation to talk to my daughter because my daughter was trying to talk to her. Dr. Tran has been my doctor for 18 years! My older sister and I were some of her first patients at the clinic :). I'm very sadly graduating from her care as I'm too old to see a pediatrician anymore but I'll miss her very much. Dr. Tran is a very attentive, caring, patient, and respectful physician. She took all my health concerns very seriously and got me any of the tests/referrals/vaccinations I needed. The office staff is very friendly and gets you sorted out quick. I've never had to wait more than like 15 minutes to be seen. I used to get bloodwork done twice a year due to hereditary cholesterol concerns so I'm not sure what the review saying she doesn't believe in blood work or scans is talking about. She ordered an MRI and EKG for me last year when I had heart concerns. If you're having trouble scheduling with her it's probably because you're booking during peak times i.e. school breaks or just before school starts. I've never had difficulty during the year. Dr. Tran's office is also laid out very well as there are two entrances: one for well and one for sick children. There are toys to occupy young children and sticker/candy rewards for after appointments. read more

After being with Dr. Tran for 2 years, we decided to switch out. We enjoyed working with Dr. Tran because she's sweet and helpful but the management, the wait time, the on call team are horrendous. 1. Nurses mess up on weight and height of our newborn. Great attitude but lacking common sense or just not paying attention 2. On call team (except when it's Dr. Tran) does not return calls. This is the most frustrating when your child is having urgent issues. Left multiple messages when our toddler has a drug reaction. This is a huge medical liability issue. I hope they fix it because if anything happens, you can sue them for negligence 3. When your appt is at 11am, you sit in the patient room and wait until 1145am-12pm with a screaming toddler I know many of these issues may not be within the control of Dr. Tran. Therefore this is a review of the entire experience at the clinic. read more

So far, so good. My wife and I switched pediatrician for our daughter several times, mostly because we either didn't like the nurses or front office staff at other offices. We found that's where many of the negative reviews are given for any doctor's office. This is the first place where the doctor and rest of the staff have all been excellent. Dr. Tran is very patient and takes time to listen to each patients' questions. We never felt rushed nor felt like we were bothering her. She has little kids of her own so she can relate to her patients better. Our daughter is quite temperamental and can go into random tantrums, but she has behaved pretty well at this place so far. The nurse here was quite patient with our daughter when she was hesitant about getting on the scale. She used some creative ways to get her on the scale. At another place we used to go, the nurse got grumpy when kids wouldn't go on the scale. Getting an appointment hasn't been too difficult either. Not sure if we were lucky, but the office usually got us in within a day or two from the time we called. Even when I called as a first time patient, they got us in the same day when my daughter had a pink eye. Like most pediatrician's office this place has a separate waiting area for sick kids and well kids. There's another doctor at this office but we always make our appointments with Dr. Tran. She does seem to work at other hospitals so isn't available everyday at this location. That's really the only negative thing, but that's pretty common with most doctors. read more

We've had three kids go through Dr. Tran's office since 2016. She is so kind and easy to talk to. Though we've had kids before, it seems like we forgot much of the newborn stage and she is taking us through this stage again. We feel like she knows our kids well and it has been easy to get school forms completed or doctor's notes for kids to return to school from the office staff. read more

We had a terrible experience with Dr. Tran. My grandson saw her for 3 years. He has multiple medical issues and we struggled getting a diagnosis or treatment because Dr. Tran stood in our way. Because of her causing delays, my grandson now requires extensive therapy. She doesn't believe in blood work, scans or providing referrals to specialists. We were forced to file complaints with the insurance company. She lacks knowledge when it comes to more in-depth medical challenges and her huge ego gets bruised when you get help or a diagnosis from another doctor. Thank goodness our medical group changed and we were able to go back to our previous pediatrician who is amazing and proactive. Dr. Tran is fine for check ups and basic care but if your child requires more advanced treatment, go somewhere else. read more

Actually shocked there were any good reviews, because those were not the experiences I've had at all. I hardly ever write bad reviews, but something needs to be said about her services: * I've had three separate appointment issues where I'd call to make an appointment beforehand only to drive there and find out they either NEVER made one or they scheduled the wrong time. THREE DIFFERENT TIMES! * There were many occasions where I'd come in to schedule an appointment only to tell me just to call the number on the back of my card and have them do it for me, or to just refer me somewhere else. I've hardly ever had a doctor's visit with Dr. Tran where I didn't have to go somewhere else to be treated. * She tried giving me a flyer as a referral to a service that didn't even work because it was the wrong age group and they didn't accept my insurance * Waited 2 1/2 hours on one occasion only to be dismissed in five minutes saying she wouldn't treat me and just give me a referral that I NEVER received. * Had stomach pain in December and a family member that was a doctor, evaluated my symptoms but referred me to see my general physician to confirm with bloodwork. She prescribed medicine I literally already found over the counter without doing blood work to confirm the symptoms. * I went to a women's PP reproductive health clinic to tell them I needed a Pap smear for a health issue Dr. Tran said I should get checked, and they were confused because the symptoms I listed were not even related to why I would need to get a pap smear. read more

We recently moved to Long Beach and looking for a doctor that you can trust for your children is not an easy a job and I truly feel blessed that we found Dr. Trans office for our family. The first impression from when I picked up the phone and was greeted by her office staff was far beyond any other typical Doctor office. The staff was friendly, patient and super kind. Went to see Dr Tran, after leaving our joke of a pediatrician in June. My son has an issue that his previous Dr claimed was mental. Saw Dr Tran and as soon as I started explaining to her what was going, she knew exactly what the problem was....and it was MEDICAL. I've was a patient of Dr. Tran's for about 2 years. Things were going good but the wait time got ridiculous. Our final interaction went way beyond that. I had a 3 year old entering preschool. I waited 3 weeks for an appointment. First her TB test and then her physical 2 days later. I was called 15 min before her appointment to be asked when my daughter's forms needed to be turned in. The person that normally does the TB tests was out on VACATION this week so they wanted to cancel it! Because I needed them done asap they allowed me to come in. So now I'm holding my 3 year old in my lap, she's not squirming or anything. The nurse meekly pricks her and stuff starts oozing down her arm. She asks my 3 year old if it hurt? Why? My 3 year old says nothing. They tell me to wait and they step out of the room - I can tell something is wrong. Dr. Tran eventually pops in and tells me that I need to come back and do the test again in 1 month!!! All because the nurse didn't push in the needle far enough, hence the dripping of the medicine. I just couldn't believe how insensitive they were - no one said sorry. Fast forward a few hours at home and the dr calls me She tells me I actually didn't even need to do the test but that she could have just signed off on the TB form - WHAT?! I went back, got it signed and I was done. No one ever apologized. To say that I was disappointed in their behavior is an understatement. I eagerly switched to a new pediatrician. read more

My child and I visited this office for the first time this week, and not only was the front desk and nursing staff courteous and knowledgeable, they went the extra mile to apologize for the short wait we experienced, since they knew I was on a tight schedule that day; it was professionalism at its finest. Dr. Tran gave my child a well-rounded check up, complete with some information for me regarding this stage in my child's growth. My child really enjoyed interacting with Dr. Tran. We love Dr. Tran! Professional, approachable and always so kind and playful with my baby. The office itself is definitely small -and somewhat outdated- but it's easy to overlook because the quality of care they provide is top notch. The rest of the staff are just as lovely and welcoming when we visit. There were a number of times I had request to do a walk in and they are always accommodating and took us in every time. I especially appreciate that we never feel rushed. Most of our appointments we schedule are late afternoon slots, right before they close.
