Hyatt Studios - University (Texarkana)…read more Brand New Hotel! Opened July 2026. EXTERIOR: The hotel is located on University Avenue, past a church on the left. There's a new Starbucks on the right side. You have plenty of parking lot in the front of the building and more parking space in the back. There is a small outdoor seating by the front entrance with four chairs. LOBBY: Crystal at the front desk was so nice and helpful checking me in early. If you are coming to stay here, say hi to Crystal, she's easy to talk to and will be more than helpful to assist you. The lobby is small and practical. Your Check-In Desk will be on the left side of the entrance. On the right side you will find tables and comfortable seats. They offer minimal Grab 'n' Go Breakfast with muffins, fruits, Nutri Grain and Nature Valley bars. You have option for hot Rainforest Coffee and hot water with Tazo tea bags. ROOM: My King Room Suite was very spacious, clean and with modern design. The room offers, a very comfy king bed, a working desk with large LG TV above it. What makes this room a unique concept is the spacious kitchen layout with modern appliances. You have your own fridge, a multifunctional microwave, a coffeemaker with Rainforest coffee pods, Tea Kettle and a dishwasher that comes with clean dishes. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this room without any major issues. The only thing I would have to say is you can hear the people upstairs when they are walking. Otherwise, the room was quiet and peaceful during the day and night. BATHROOM: I personally loved the bathroom layout. A large LED Vanity mirror with a spacious countertop sink. Good faucet water pressure. Shower was spacious with double glass doors. For your enjoyment, they offer KenethMD Soin Capillaire shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Very generous amount of towels are offered in the bathroom that are clean. I will mention that my bathroom didn't have A/C vent. When taking a shower, between running hot water and the large LED mirror, it can get toasty. I had to prop open the bathroom door to let room A/C come inside. FITNESS ROOM: The fitness center is room key accessible. I was able to get a quick morning workout done with the equipment provided by Life Fitness and Peloton. While you get your fitness in check, they have a water cooler with towels for your convenience. The Fitness Room was spacious, clean and can comfortably accommodate ten plus guests at any given time. There is a laundry facility next to the Fitness Center. OVERALL: This was a great experience for me and I will be returning to stay here when visiting Texarkana. The hotel is designed to be as a regular hotel, or modern luxury, extended stay. Between the helpful staff and all the complimentary amenities that are provided in your room, it's worth staying here. Keep in mind since this is a brand new hotel, they are still working out kinks. If you have any issues, politely let a staff know to make them aware. I mentioned a few things and they were happy to accept it and address the issues.

There were no issues with setting the thermostat; the rooms were immaculately clean and the service by Megan at the front desk and Bailey at the bar was top notch. As my husband and I were sitting at the bar during happy hour (and yes they have a nice happy hour!), we noticed Bailey going and bringing out the most beautiful and large salads from the kitchen. I think next time, we should order from the restaurant on premises. The lobby has a more elite look that we enjoy.

Hope is the self-titled Watermelon Capital of the World, and I suppose if Bill Clinton had never been born here and risen to become the 42nd President of the United States, this place would be more centered around the giant fruit, than about the Clinton family and legacy. The museum here offers free admission which is nice. There shouldn't be any complaints about something when it's free. The only thing it will cost you is your time, and how long you might spend in here is up to you. I found that the time slips away from you here, as it does often here in the deep southern part of this great country. This is a neat place. It's an old railroad depot, that's still functional to some degree and utilized by Amtrak. There is a delicious restaurant right across the street from here, called Tailgaters Burger Company, which is what motivated us to pull off the interstate in the first place driving back to Shreveport from Hot Springs on a family vacay. Had this Visitors Center not been in such close proximity from the restaurant, I can tell you with all sincerity, that I wouldn't have even bothered trying to find it. Had there been some sort of substantial admission fee, I wouldn't have gone in, but being so very close to the restaurant, being a gorgeously interesting old railroad depot, being open during the hours we were in Hope, and being free, I curiously wandered inside. I am somewhat familiar with Bill and Hillary's lives together, coupled with their meteoric rise from small southern state governor and First Lady to this land's highest office and beyond. It's captivating here to mosey along the old pictures, articles, and artifacts, mostly capturing that aforementioned rise to the highest power for the Clintons. I found myself rather easily transported back to the 1990's. The lone employee seeing over this museum-visitors center the afternoon we visited, was extremely friendly and quite helpful. It was a real pleasure talking with her about all things Hope. Overall, the nice family lunch across the street matched with the impromptu tour of this property, made for a pleasant finale to our summer trip to southern Arkansas. I highly recommend pulling off that interstate and giving this place a good look over. Call in advance for their daily open hours.
