This Metrolink station has loads of free parking, charging stations for EVs, handicap spots for persons with disabilities, public phones for use... An office never seems to be open... Almost like a prop lol as well as plenty of Kiosk to purchase Metrolink rider tickets and maps to guide you on your journeys... The mobile app is definitely your friend as well. It's never too busy here, which is nice, even being on the directly next to the Orange line station hub, the lot traffic, if any is always smooth and steady off Devonshire Street/ Canoga Avenue, just across for an amazing Anytime Fitness, Ralphs, Dollar Tree, Paint with A Twist (paint & sip spot) and a few other familiar as well as local small businesses in one lot... plus a Holiday Inn Express just past the intersection. Instead of doing such a simple and important task they continue with their unbelievably long and puzzling construction building/digging up nothing on top of nothing. Running out of room to even get on or off trains. Pick your poison it's either this or the Northridge station with homeless encampments and cars/vans everywhere littered with shit and trash.

Saw there was a LADOT DASH bus waiting at the train station, which runs every 15 minutes around Reseda. No WiFi access is available on any Metrolink trains while the Amtrak has it for Business Class seats. Beginning July 1, 2025, you can buy a day pass ticket for unlimited travel across all Metrolink lines at $15 weekdays, $10 weekends! Note: Be careful, please check the Metrolink schedule to see whether the trip is worth your time for waiting at the Union Station for nearly two hours on the way back to the Northridge Station. For example , when I arrived at the Union Station at 2:45 PM, I found the next available train to the Northridge is at 4:30 PM. That's a challenge from LA Metro and Metrolink to attract more riders to take a public transit, instead of driving.

I genuinely had no idea I was in the right spot even though they had a sign up that indicated train arrivals/departures. There seems to be ample parking in the area and you can either book your ticket via the Metrolink app or on the self serve kiosk at the station. I believe there are shuttles that take you to/from this station as well since I noticed a ton of students and presumably faculty getting off the shuttle. The train itself is pleasantly clean and air conditioned, which was a nice change from the weather outside. The bathrooms were also very spacious and clean. I was on a double decker plane so I naturally gravitated to the second level. It was pretty empty despite it being a weekday afternoon around 4-5 pm and it was quiet and peaceful. I was able to get from Northridge to Union Station in considerably less time than if I drove there. Overall, please take public transit whenever possible! This even takes you to Burbank airport! It's a fun and quick ride and so much better than sitting in traffic. (35/100--2024)

There are passenger drop off, as well as motorcycle, spots in the lot closest to the bathrooms/ticket machines. *Beware not to park in the passenger drop-off spaces by accident or the guard might write all over your back window and call a tow company to haul your car away.* I regularly commute to work in Downtown LA from either this location or the Santa Clarita Station so I can attest to Metrolink services. For the most part, the southbound trains are on time give or take a few minutes unless there is freak weather (fires, extreme cold, or monsoonal rain). Sometimes the northbound trains are late due to train congestion at Union Station. So, I can't complain much especially since I get to do other things (like reading, watching tv shows, or catching up on my social media feed) rather than driving the whole way there. The parking lot is excessively long on the other side of the tracks so it can be easy to have to park way out in the boonies when arriving anytime past 7:10 AM. So, make sure you arrived in enough time to not have to make a mad dash for the train and cross the tracks as it's pulling into the station. I do wish, however, that charging spaces for electric vehicles were included when they were building this station. I expect the Santa Clarita Station to not have them because it's fairly old but there was no excuse to disregard it with this one. I mean, the Sylmar Station has two electric vehicle charging spots for crying out loud! Anyway, this isn't a horrible station and the Antelope Valley Metrolink line is much needed for us commuters. Make sure you arrive with plenty of time to park and purchase your train ticket or use the Metrolink application on your smartphone instead for those looking to save some time. And if you didn't know, there's a $10-weekend pass that allows you to ride any of the Metrolink trains, in any direction, all day long which is great for attending events in Downtown LA or even heading to the OC. Metrolink is alright with me!
