LAX-it isn't my favorite setup, but it's the system we've got. The process takes longer than it should, and waiting for the buses can test your patience. Once you finally reach the pickup area, you still end up waiting for your ride. The staff, to their credit, are polite and do their best with what they have. It's functional but inconvenient. Works fine if you're not in a rush, but it's not a great experience overall. Also buses drive by you and then you get on packed one that keep stopping.

LAXit is hands down one of the most inefficient airport systems I have ever experienced. From start to finish, it feels poorly planned and completely disconnected from how people actually travel. The shuttles are unreliable, not frequent enough, and far too small for the volume of passengers using them. You can wait forever just to get packed onto a bus, only to crawl your way over to LAXit while watching the clock and your patience disappear. Once you finally arrive, the pricing is insanely overpriced. Between surge pricing and added airport fees, rides cost way more than they should, especially considering how inconvenient the entire process is. Finding your rideshare driver is another headache altogether. The area is confusing, crowded, and stressful, with little guidance on where to go or who to look for. Overall, LAXit is an awful experience and somehow manages to make an already frustrating airport even worse. Inefficient, overpriced, and chaotic from beginning to end.

Getting to the LAX rideshare lot is frustrating. You have to hop on the green bus, but if you're unlucky, it fills up quickly and you'll have to wait for the next one. The best time to book your Uber is once you arrive at the lot, then head to the letter you're assigned and wait patiently, your ride can still take a few minutes to arrive.

The LAX-it has reduced the traffic outbound from the airport, although it's painful to wait for the shuttle from the terminal exit to the share rides hub. I literally saw three shuttles driving by without stopping, and this could happen if your terminal is far from the earlier pickup terminals as those shuttle buses got filled up quickly.

We've used the LAX-it a number of times but this last time, just a week ago, was the worst experience ever. (It has never been a good experience --- this time was just flat out awful.) My wife and I got off a flight at Tom Bradley terminal and immediately went to the LAX-it shuttle stop to the right of the terminal. There was already a large group of passengers waiting for a shuttle bus to pick them up. Over the next 40 minutes we watched two EMPTY LAX-It shuttle buses pass the bus stop and there was a collective groan from the people waiting. I told my wife that even if a shuttle bus stops there won't be enough room to accommodate all the passengers who want to get on the bus. I spoke to an LAX employee and she suggested that we WALK to LAX-it, which is just across the street from Terminal 1. The walk was about 12 minutes. When we got to LAX-it, we did find the Uber and Lyft pickup areas, both of which were covered in graffiti. The presence of so much graffiti at this 24 hour facility gave me the impression that the area was not policed and may even be dangerous. For people new to LA it would probably give them the impression that LA is lawless (and maybe that's an accurate impression). With the World Cup happening in LA in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028, LAX needs to up its game A LOT. LAX-it needs to be a safe, graffiti free facility where police are present.

Worst service ever. Forget about taking any app rides from LAX, you have to wait for the bus, then they drive you for 20min outside the airport, then drop you in bad setup parking, then you can order uber, it took me one hour just to get in uber. This is like animal shelter

    What a complete mess!!!

If I could give it a zero I would. 7+ empty busses went by and we ended up just walking. F this and speaks volumes about LAX.

Uber car seat didn't seem to be a reliable option and ride hailing services required a super far transfer to another pickup location. The bus was also triple the time to our destination near the cruise port. Go Ride was very clear about their pricing and they were detailed when answering a follow up question I had about pickup time which was fortunate as our flight ended up getting in 30 mins earlier than scheduled. Our driver, Oscar, arrived early to pick us up - I received an iMessage from him before landing using my airline's in-flight wifi - I was able to send him updates as we got off the plane and got our bags. He pulled up within 5 mins of my last message when we had our bags conveniently right outside the terminal. It was so easy I didn't even need to rent the $8 USD luggage cart and my kids didn't have enough time to complain about any wait. Oscar was really helpful with our bags and had all the car seats already installed correctly! All seats were facing the correct direction, solid, tight and the only adjustment needed was for the actual seat belts themselves to secure the kids. Oscar offered us bottles of water and we were off to the hotel. On the way we had a nice chat and he was totally OK with the youngest child crying for a bit while navigating LA's notorious traffic (he said it was light but to me it was busy). Drop off at the hotel was smooth and we tipped in cash for great service - he impressed us! Definitely would recommend to anyone especially families looking for a smooth experience getting anywhere from LAX airport. I will be using them again for future travel. Pricing: reasonable and competitive for door to door private car service with car seats. Communication: from booking to actual day of it was the right amount of detail Quality: car and car seats were super clean Safety: our driver Oscar was safe while navigating LA's freeway and street traffic. Car seats were properly installed and well maintained. Convenience: Door to door service was amazing and easy - I had bags but didn't require a luggage cart at all. Time saved = more relaxation time = less whiny little ones Thanks again Oscar and Go Ride!

For pickup, despite stating on reservation and confirming twice (day before and morning of), they did NOT provide the requested rear facing carseat required for our baby. The driver did not know how to convert it and he did not have the manual so we could not do it ourselves. For dropoff, again despite confirming the same morning for 9:30 pickup (months ago we stated 8:45 but updated them), when we arrived they are now saying there is no driver until 10:20. They are leaving our baby screaming and waiting in the rain for an hour. Imagine if anyone had to catch a flight. More recent (last few months) reviews were mostly positive. Hoping all would go well. Upon arrival at LAX, I received a text message that our driver (Donatus) was on the way. I had requested a pickup time of 6:15am as the default time is set to 30 minutes after the flight arrival. I just wanted extra time to deplane, get our luggage and take a shuttle to the rideshare pickup location. We got off the plane and got our luggage by 5:45. I contacted Donatus and he arrived at the curbside in about 5 minutes. He must have been waiting at the cellphone lot. Earlier pickup was better for all of us. Donatus is a safe driver. The ride home was smooth and uneventful. Like I said earlier, I was a bit nervous since this was the first time using the service. I don't think the older Yelp reviews are of concern.
