Amtrak sucks. Did the Empire Builder, total shit show. Amtrak, how about this business pitch? Start a "pub crawl" at all of the whistle stops on Empire Builder. 2 hours to hit local bars and pubs, hop back on, and then do it again at the following stop. Minot can be your big hub, keg party, chicks, the whole deal-e-o. Seriously. You guys need something to rope people in. Your White Linen Service was a LIE! I went in June and it was only offered Seattle to Chi, of course my dumb ass booked Chi- Seattle, consequently, I was served micro wave dinners. Yeah for me! Folks, for what you pay on this trip, you can fly first class, and still have cash left over to enjoy your trip. Happy Trails. read more

we took a trip on the train very beautiful little hard to get around but not so bad you get used to after little bit. Our friend forgot her ID so she had to run back they held the train for her and was very kind to us. I was able to have a conversation with one of the assistants and was kind and we had a good conversation. If you want to go on a train ride you should bring your own food but there food is better on a train then on a plane. I would go again; And I highly recommend going on a train. read more

Do not do it! Train was very late. The attendant popped in and out at the Shelby station about a half a dozen times over five hours. She never updated the screen, would not answer questions and lied about the tv working. We had it working earlier and tried to change the channel. We asked where the remote was. She would not stop or look at us. She just shook her head and said, nope...no cable..too bad and walked back out the door again. read more
