Hey, if you have kids that are well behaved and like their teeth being cleaned this dentist is a great option if you live in the area. However, if you have a young child who still has tantrums, has only so long of an ability to wait, and/or may even have fears just go somewhere else. I started bringing oldest preschooler there when they first opened up in 2017. She was well behaved and they worked well with her. Then I brought my younger preschool-aged son there a few months ago for a cleaning. My son has a fear of heights and does not like to lay down on doctors tables. This office uses flat padded table/beds. The office did not care to try to accommodate him in the slightest. Some pediatric dentists will sit and lay the toddlers head on their lap while looking in their mouth and doing a toothbrush cleaning. This office simply said he has to lay down. He could not even lay his head on my lap for comfort measures. During this last visit, I had made an appointment for both of my kids. My son was the second appointment out of the two. He got frustrated from the wait for his turn and threw a brief tantrum. I calmed him down very fast and I thought we were on our way to his cleaning. The dentist was supposed to have done a toothbrush cleaning. What he actually did was simply wiped the fluoride across the front of my son's teeth. No other teeth were touched at all. Then we were walked out relatively quickly. Once I got home and had time to realize what had actually happened, I called the office and ask for another cleaning. One that was done correctly. The office refused. Said that an attempt was made to clean my son's teeth and they were going to bill my insurance. I had to wait six months for his next cleaning. I decided to take him to another dentist instead for that cleaning. There was no reason why my son could not get a correct cleaning done at this dentist appointment. However, I feel very strongly that the office did not want to deal with my son after his tantrum and rushed him out as fast as they could, but not before making sure to be able to bill for his visit. I have taken my kids to two other pediatric dentists before, both have handled my son's fear of laying down much better as well as worked with my kids in a way to make their experience a nice one; even after fears and crying/meltdowns happened. read more
