Prices are a complete rip off. I dropped off a ready to mail USPS priority mail envelope, flat rate…read moreenvelope 12.5"x9.5". I just needed the flat rate postage. At the US Post office it is $9.85. The woman behind the counter charged me $17.71. When I asked if there was a mistake the woman behind the counter said post office rates have gone up. I said I sent one of these at the post office last year and it was less than $10. She said "no this is the current rate". I was in a hurry so I paid and left. Once I returned home I looked up the post office rate online and it is $9.95. I called and when I asked her about the markup that they have, she rudely said with an attitude "we are not the post office". I said "do you have a rate sheet so I know what I would be charged in the future if I brought another envelope?" She said "no, it is whatever comes up in the computer, I just work here. Complain to the manager." The envelope was already sealed and addressed, it just needed a priority mail postage. The way the price was presented to me was deceptive. I could understand if they charged a small fee or if they had to pack up an item and charge for that, but this was just a rip off. The woman behind the counter could have easily said that the price they charge has nothing to do with the price the post office charges. Instead she blamed the high cost on the USPS recently raising rates. Lesson learned, I will not be using A1A "rip off" Pack and Ship at Driftwood Plaza, 3830 S. HWY A1A Suite 4, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951 Tel. # 321-726-1667 for anything going forward. Do yourself a favor and avoid A1A pack and rip off. I also purchased a manufactured home and wanted to add that to my policy, Leslie let me know State Farm did not write those policies but connected me in touch with a wonderful guy Steve who took care of this for us. Being in Florida and seeing Morgan & Morgan adds everywhere I talked with Leslie about getting a blanket policy to CYA for we have investment properties and do not want to risk a potential law suit any time soon.
