My wife and I remodeled our home in Claremont, CA and bought the AMSCO Hampton casement windows with a black exterior and white interior. The black is perfect in how it compliments the dark bronze anodized aluminum doors. We are extremely impressed with the comfort and appearance of the CozE-MAX glass which have a nice gray color instead of the common green windows that our neighbors have. The sunlight is no longer superheating the interior of our house when the afternoon sun shines on the front windows. We are so happy with our decision to go with the AMSCO windows. read more

I am hoping Scott S. in NV. reivew on 3-26-24 sees this review. What you were told is a lie! I have black AMSCO windows in my new build. Not, bronze, not brown, not charcoal...BLACK! and they are Garbage! I am so disgusted with the quality of these windows and in trying to get them replaced, I too am being told LIES! "It is just how they are made, they come this way, they are factory specification..." In my 50 plus years of life owning several homes, I have NEVER seen windows that look like I have in what was supposed to be my dream home! Casement hardware has failed within five years. Crank gears are made of aluminum and one has failed completely, and the others are not far behind. Waiting for installer to respond on some sort of warranty replacement, but frankly will pay to have them work properly. Not sure I would go the AMSCO route again. read more

The Amsco windows installed into Bates Homes by Valley Glass in Belgrade Montana leak consistently. I called the manufacturer directly and was told by one of their customer services representatives that their windows are designed to allow water into the house. Unbelievable! I asked him several times if that was right. He got angry and said that was indeed the design and that it was not a problem. Neither Bates Homes nor Valley Glass are of any help, saying they think the design is fine. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Purchased $40,000 worth of Studio Series BLACK vinyl windows from Amsco for the new house my wife and I are building. When the installation of the windows started I was shocked to see that the windows were a bronze color - not BLACK. When I called the vendor he informed me that dark bronze is BLACK. I called the sales rep Danny Piantanidia at Amsco and was told the same thing. I asked how this could be when the Amsco website for these windows clearly called out and showed a color sample of BLACK - not bronze. I was told that there are several shades of BLACK - who knew!!! In the Amsco universe dark brown is now BLACK. Nowhere on the website or in the order was there any disclosure or clarification that if you order Black vinyl windows you would receive dark bronze - not Black - completely misrepresented. Tried with Amsco customer service to get some assistance and was referred to sales manager Steve Chapman, but never got a call back. Having designed our home around these black windows with black: facia, eves, accent colors, stone veneer, standing seam metal roof on the exterior and black hardware, faucets, granite, etc... on the interior it's completely depressing to have dark bronze windows with no accountability from the manufacturer. If you want Black windows for your project find a different manufacturer and one that will stand behind what they represent to sell. read more

Just don't. If your building, choose another company. Take my word for it. Nothing but problems. Poor quality. Bent and crooked grids. Windows don't open properly. Glass getting spotted changing colors. Just overall poor quality. Worst decision of our build! I'm worried for the future of our doors and windows for my beautiful home. read more

We purchased a home with Amsco windows put in by the developer in 2006. A year after purchase, two windows had to be replaced due to leaks. At the 8 year mark, the majority of the window seals had failed with condensation between the panes. We called one after another of their dealers for support and never received a call back. The lifetime warranty is non existent, don't buy based on this. These windows are terrible, stay away!!! read more

Horrid company; They put high alt breather tubes in windows for San Diego. Windows have failed; Picture Perfect (company in San Diego) has not been much help; Amsco will not deal with customers directly, you must deal with a retailer; So hope and pray you use a retailer that stays in business, and wants to deal with replacing the bad windows. This all said, once you find a good retailer, and actually get the replacement glass reordered from Amsco, the retailer should have the replacement glass within 2 weeks. read more

Terrible quality. We were unfortunate enough to purchase a home with AMSCO windows installed when it was built in 2008 and more than half of our windows no longer close properly and AMSCO only honors their "lifetime warranty" if the home is never sold. If you want windows that will last more than 11 years without expensive repairs, avoid AMSCO like the plague. read more

I bought a house with 15 year old AMSCO windows. 6 had failed (fog / moisture between panes) and it cost me $4K to fix. Based on the trend after only 15 years, it will likely cost me $15K to $20k when all is said and done. Their warranty sucks and doesn't cover. Watch out! read more

We were highly dissatisfied with the job done by Amsco. We live in an apartment in Logan and without receiving any notice that they were coming in the first place, we came home to an overturned apartment. Whoever did the installation did a horrible job. They shoved anything and everything they could out of the way and didn't even attempt to put it back how it was, just left it. The windows have finger prints and residue from stickers as well as parts of stickers all over them. I was very unimpressed with the company and wouldn't recommend or trust them with another job. Let me explain. I am in Denver. I have had Amsco windows for 12 years. I have 3 the sliders have fallen out, 4 the latches but most important one window cracked. I have called 4 companies that sell Amsco none have returned my call. I have called Amsco 3 different times to find out what to do since they are based in UT. All I get is another name of another company that won't call back. I will go with someone more dependable. read more

Our home is less than 6 years old and the seals on all of our windows have failed. The windows are poor quality and it has taken several months to address this with the manufacturer as they are too busy. I recommend you shop around before considering this company. read more

I have purchased 30 or so Amsco windows through the years. Recently, I bought a large window (three panel with two sliders) and had a problem (I inadvertently caused) to the frame. Amsco got me a new frame and I easily swapped the two sliders into the new frame from the old frame. It looks great. Thanks to Kimball at Amsco. read more
