The train passed through it, sometimes stopped here and the beautiful architecture in Mission Revival-style got my attention. Some trains don't stop here, so check their schedules. It is a great option if you live in the Valley. They have a free, big parking lot, machines work ok, restrooms are clean enough, they could have more people working here, but that's something I could say about most of them. Nice seating area, outdoor stop, very pretty, typical old LA amazing buildings. Some scenes for movies were shot here, which isn't surprising. Great option for catching the train!

When my pops spent some time with our friends in Napa Valley, he took the train home which after a cool train ride from Sacramento to Bakersfield, he was motor coached from Bakersfield to this Station, super convenient IMO, there are plenty of parking and I could see how convenient this station would be for future train trips going to SLO or SD. I love the architecture as well, whether it was a facade or the remnants of a historic past, I am glad they kept some sense of nostalgia at this station, very nice and convenient in my honest opinion.

She does nothing. She is supposed to open bathroom doors & insure they are safe & fully stocked. She does not. She is to insure that passengers get on & off busses & trains safely. She's never around where there is heavy foot traffic. She walks numerous times to her car for food thus eating while she walks around on duty. She makes & receives personal calls while on duty. She plays with her hair. Additionally she allows anyone to smoke & vape at the station but me. Sadly, I witnessed a drug deal 2 weeks ago. Where was she then? It's no longer safe there in the mornings since Boaz & Guzman relocated to uptown Burbank. Lastly, she wears her own clothing leading people to ask me questions because she doesn't look like security. She needs to be replaced.

I bought my ticket on Ticketmaster for $12.50 each but they sold tickets there on the spot for $10 (I paid the transaction fee online). I do believe you need cash and exact change from what I saw though. Buses are hit or miss, you either take the older school bus looking buses or you might strike gold taking the huge charter buses. It's completely random but overall it was a 30-40 minute ride so not bad. Shuttle Return - They gave me a ticket per person as admission for the return travel. It's $15 if you lose this ticket so DO NOT lose it. They did a great job telling everyone how to find the bus back and really had no issues loading and returning home. Just be sure to get back to the buses before 25 minutes after the concert. (This is honestly pretty reasonable I probably got back in 10-15) Parking was safe with a security guard as well as FREE when you park on the 3rd level or above. I would recommend this option when going to the Hollywood bowl for a cheaper and efficient way to get there.

They have benches, double-sided single platforms and kiosk for reloading as well as purchasing Metro TAP cards and tapping before you board (no need to for after). Additionally the outer part of Highland Park Station has some plants, trees and more seating, making it feel like apart of the neighborhood. It's true that if completely on feet it's a tiny bit of a stroll to the main street or the nearest connecting busses such as the LADOT Dash, 182, and others, but still not bad at all! I love popping over to Delicias Bakery & Some on Figueroa Street, venturing over to York BLVD for Wolfies, The Hermosillo, other Highland Park gems and exploring the area. All day parking (7AM - 9 PM) lot that is meter pay just across from the station.

It's wasy to figure out what platform to get on, your regular machines to tap and add value on your card. Nice benches to sit on (normal ones for a change!) and relax till your next train. We didn't mind that we missed a train, enjoyed hanging out, admiring the view. Shady spots and you can see Michael Myer's house from the original "Halloween" movie from there! Sorry but there are little to no inter transit bus connections to other agencies. This is a very fast bus because the frequency is very good. This bus can be very crammed at times but luckily because frequency is good there are other buses of the same route nearby. You don't have to work yourself up if one vehicle is crowded. If you are a tourist this is your bus to go to different points of interests all the way the way to Santa Monica beach. They no longer have the 920 because it is long gone. It is gone due to low ridership. I would ride this bus again is possible even with the cramming.

The Rapid 720 is the east-west artery that gets me from my residence near Beverly and Wilshire to most spots, especially Union Station downtown (via a connection at either the Wilshire/Western or Wilshire/Vermont Metro stations). There are lots of homeless and weirdos on this particular line, but you will get the hang of it once you ride it regularly. Until the Wilshire/Rodeo station opens in 2025, this is the best we've got. If anyone makes you uncomfortable, sit as close to the front of the bus and the driver as possible. The bus drivers are told to allow/ignore fare evaders, which I think is a foolish policy, but there's nothing I can do about that. The Rapid 920 was a super-limited service which they have since discontinued and are unlikely to resume given that they're building new stations as far west as the VA anyway. Download the Metro app if you haven't already. That allows you to know exactly when a bus is coming. Hey, it's not perfect, but it works.

Going east to west: -The line starts in Pasadena, at Lake Ave.& Colorado Blvd., then moves its way down Colorado Boulevard, stopping at Paseo Colorado and then the heart of Old Town Pasadena. -From Old Town it makes a rapid bee line to Eagle Rock and all the places you can go around the corner of Eagle Rock Blvd. & Colorado. - From there, you make your way to Glendale, stopping at the Americana & Galleria mall. -A few minutes later, you're entering Los Feliz, with Griffith Park to your right and the Mulholland Fountain to the left as you cross the intersection of Riverside Dr. and Los Feliz Blvd. -Up the hill along Los Feliz Blvd, you're now making your way towards the heart of Los Feliz, stopping at Hillhurst Ave. and then turning down Vermont Ave. 'till you reach Hollywood Blvd. and make a sharp right. -Soon you're on your way down Hollywood Blvd, passing a Metro Red Line stations at Western & Vine, and then another at Highland as you gawk at tourists and super heroes posting for photos. -Another left turn as you approach Fairfax Ave. and you make your way down Fairfax, past Sunset Blvd, Santa Monica Blvd, Melrose Ave., Beverly Blvd. and then 3rd Street, where you can exit and visit the Farmer's Market & the Grove. -The line continues on for another couple of miles, ending at Washington Blvd. There are so many sites to see on this trip. You can take your time and explore each one and make a day of it. Or, get on and get going to where you need to go. The trip to the Farmer's Market is particularly nice, as you can avoid the parking hassles. Rapid Buses are usually newer and are the "articulated" or "bendy" buses, so they accommodate many more passengers. Cleanliness levels vary, as do characters you might come across while on board. But, hey, it's public transit in a big city, you gotta roll with it. A book and/or iPod helps to make the time move along. Fare is $1.25 each way, or you can get a Day Pass for $5, which entitles you to unlimited travel on bus & rail. Rapid Buses, generally, have less frequent schedules on weekends, so consult the http://metro.net site for a timetable.
