I had an elusive water leak that made its way to the lower level of my condo. Ceiling tiles were all stained. Master Plumber Dan Sellazzo located the source (and explained the maze of pipes and water lines above my drop ceiling). It was a leaking toilet. In came his partner of 20 years, Ken Troise, who is probably the nicest guy you'll ever meet and who obviously loves what he does. Courteous, respectful and a plumber extraordinaire, Ken replaced a corroded flange and old piping, and left everything cleaner than it was before he came. He also took care of two smaller issues that have been driving me crazy. Took him 5 minutes. The service from Sellazzo is top notch and the rates reasonable. You won't regret giving them a call.

Kristian replaced our basement utility sink and faucet, repaired a leaky pipe, and replaced our outdoor spigot with a brand-new valve. He did an excellent job with everything and took the time to make sure the work was done properly. He also cleaned everything up when he was finished, which I really appreciated. It's not often you find someone who does quality work, is dependable, and charges a fair price. We are extremely happy with the work Kristian did and will definitely be calling him again for any future plumbing needs. Highly recommended!

David and team arrived in a terrible thunderstorm to check out my water heater (I couldn't re-light the pilot myself after several attempts and had no idea why it went out in the first place). In frustration, I called various local services, and to my dismay, received astronomical quotes for basic diagnosis. By the time I found David Murphy, I was feeling a bit desperate. In the POURING RAIN, David added our case to his load and stopped by our home to assess the issue. Needless to say, what I couldn't do all day, David did in five minutes! Of course, he's the pro! What I can't say enough about is his pleasant spirit. He was humble, kind and interested only in building trust during this initial visit. With deliberate, calming smiles and assurance they told us to keep an eye on the water heater and then they were gone in a "poof." True "angels" in the midst of a storm. I concur with others in that I feel blessed, and I know I've found a gem. I will always consult Murphy Plumbing & Heating first and only. Trustworthiness personified!

Best Buy came through with delivering the new unit, but we also needed a new cut-off switch. His team came on a short notice, installed it, no problems. We then had another issue, where all of the sudden, while I was showering, it started raining just downstairs from the recessed lighting fixtures. That issue, too, they came, saw, and fixed. Finally, we had flooding in our basement. Twice, about 6 months apart. The first time, despite my anxiety, he managed to convince me that we should not grab someone for a Sunday emergency service, since that's going to be way more expensive. He was right, because at the time the issue was both intermittent and thus unsolvable. We didn't see the issue again for about 10 months. Fast-forward, and the issue happened again. This time we caught it and figured out exactly what needed to be done. His team fixed it quickly and hopefully, we won't see the issues again.

Now about two years later I had a pipe burst in the heating system. I managed to shut everything down myself and called to schedule someone to come over. Very good and prompt in getting back to me but in all honesty I wound up going with someone else for half the price they had wanted to charge. I am inclined to say they do good work but at the time I called it was in the middle of a cold snap when it was a gold rush of sorts as this was happening all around and they were going to take advantage of the situation. I don't know if I would use them again as I had one very good experience and then avoided using them a second time and getting milked.

There was no time to waste in getting this repair done. When given the quote which was on the spot, I really did not have time to shop around. However, I did ask questions as to how that number was generated and the answer was very vague. Come to find out afterwards, that I definitely paid well above what a reasonable going rate was according to other licensed and insured plumbers because I wanted to check if things really had gotten that expensive, but it turns out that this company was just overcharging in my opinion. I reached out to ask the owner, not just the son who showed up, to again account for how those numbers in the price were calculated. Blew me off for weeks. I finally told him that it was very shady that he could not explain in detail why I was charged so much. When he finally did lay it out there, I let him know that I felt taken advantage of and felt ripped off.
