Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.

After looking at it I decided I couldn't fix it myself, instead I contacted The Gutter Boys based on the Yelp Reviews. At this point they said they were so busy they could only quote on replacing all of the gutters, I figured it cost me nothing to get the quote. The quote was reasonable for the size of the job, but more then I wanted to spend, so I let them know that I did not want to move ahead with the job. A couple of weeks later they contacted me and let me know that they would quote on replacing only the back gutter. This came in and was still a bit higher then I wanted to spend. After another couple of weeks they sent a revised quote that was about 20% lower at which point I decided to go ahead with the job. Getting the job started was easy, you log onto their website, review and approve the contract and put down a 50% deposit. Once this was done they scheduled the job in less then a week. On the scheduled day they came out while I was at work, took down the old gutter, put up the new gutter and downspouts and cleaned up the jobsite. A very nice job all the way around. I never had an contact with any of their personnel other then by text and phone, but they got the job done fast and professionally.

Denny Adler and Son's replaced our roof and laid a Duro Last membrane (Denny is a "Duro Last…read morespecialist") over plywood without any insulation. I'm sure it saved him $. Thus, 5 years into the 20 Year Warranty, the roof was already starting to show water spots. He was out a few times to patch, but who knew due to condensation( lack of insulation between the heat/cool in the house and the outdoor air), the plywood "subfloor" was rotting out. When we called Adler, he came out and said that the roof was fine and he could patch a few areas. With a 2nd,3rd and even 4th opinion, we learned the roof was trash. I called the Duro Last rep in Columbus, Mike Gottron and he said he would look into it. I guess the 2 of them are buddies and he said that the roof was fine. So we had the ceiling ripped out at our expense and the roof was not ok. The boards were covered in mold and you could see daylight through the membrane. They called out the Duro-Last inspector and he fell through the rotten wood but still claimed that it wasn't their problem. I could go on, but as not to bore anyone, the job was shotty, the product was shotty and neither stood by their guarantee. They sent the same inspector to approve the warranty and see if there are any problems. That's how it is never their fault.
