We're lucky to be surrounded by beautiful oaks and stubborn "demon" cedar here in San Antonio, but they were long overdue for pruning. I submitted an online request for a quote and was genuinely impressed when I received a response within an hour. By the end of that same day, Tyler was already at our property walking the land with us and assessing what needed to be done. Tyler was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. He took the time to explain why each of the six trees needed trimming and what the proper approach would be. Seeing the scope of work had me mentally bracing for a painful estimate, but it was clear the pruning was necessary for the health and safety of our trees. Within two hours of Tyler leaving, a detailed quote was in my inbox and to my surprise, it was fair and reasonable. For comparison, we had another company stop by later that day. They didn't walk the property, didn't provide a plan, and casually tossed out an outrageous number. The difference in professionalism was night and day. We chose Texas Tree Authority, and the process continued to be smooth from there. The online deposit system was seamless. They scheduled us just ahead of an incoming ice storm, arrived on time, worked efficiently, and left the property spotless. The cleanup alone was so impressive, my neighbor stopped to get a card from them. We're extremely happy with the quality of the work and the pricing. If you're looking for professional, responsive tree care in San Antonio, I highly recommend Texas Tree Authority. They also offer a military discount, which is a great bonus. Pro tip: Pay by ACH transfer to avoid the additional credit card processing fee.

Highly Recommend River City Tree Service & Landscaping!…read more I had a huge, unattractive tree sitting right in the center of my front lawn that I absolutely despised. It completely took away from the look of my home. While River City Tree Service & Landscaping was working on my neighbor's tree, my husband went over to ask about ours--and I'm so glad he did! From the start, the crew was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They took the time to educate us on the type of tree we had and explained exactly what could be done to improve it. What really impressed me was their willingness to squeeze us in the same day--that level of customer service is rare! They trimmed and shaped the tree beautifully, and the transformation is honestly amazing. My front yard looks completely different--in the best way. The curb appeal has improved so much, and I actually enjoy looking at my lawn now. If you're looking for a company that is skilled, responsive, and truly cares about their work, I highly recommend River City Tree Service & Landscaping. We will definitely be using them again!

Went above and beyond my expectations!!…read more I have tried 3 tree companies in the past. I have 2 old oaks in my front yard and have had 3 that needed removed in the last 15 years, I have had poor service with the removal of 2 of the 3. So poor I hate to mention I went with anyone before finding this tree service. This past fall, I had Scott and his crew from Stump Pro TX Tree Service come and trim the oaks and remove an oak in the back yard. WOW is all I can say!!! I couldn't believe the clean up and how great everything looked in the end!! That and NO damage were my main concerns, and they were exceeded by far!! Beautiful work!! Best curb appeal I have ever had, hands down! I'm telling ya'll right now, go with this company. Scott is so friendly and polite, he addressed each of us by Sir, even though, of course I asked he call me by my first name, it didn't happen. Best price and quality in SA!! Reached out to a few companies and Al's quote turned out to be the lowest of the three I received. He was very thorough in detailing his suggestions for us and we eventually decided to zero-scape the front lawn. He gave us options to choose from, explained what has worked best for him in the past. He took out our existing bushes by our front windows, ensuring he got most, if not all of the roots so they wouldn't be an issue moving forward, planted 4-5 yucca plants, put granite rock down to cover the yard and our curb with a barrier around the whole area. We also went with a two-foot-wide extension from the side of our driveway that has 2" pavers and crushed granite so I could better get out of my vehicle since I have mobility issues. We also had him trim our huge Ash tree in the front since it needed it badly. Al was very professional, kept us in the loop on all decisions and got the job done quickly. His attention detail is OUTSTANDING! I would 100% recommend him for any of your landscaping projects, big or small. Our front yard looks great and now we don't have to mow it ever again!! :-)
