AMPM great for late night snacks
Rachel E.

Great late night snacks only problem is no slurpees. Closing down at night to clean the machines. Great customer service always have friendly faces

It's an older AM/PM gas station in the neighborhood. I would say it's fairly busy and clean considering how long it's been there. I find the gas prices at this station cheaper than most AM/PMs. The store itself is small but the lot is spacious so you have plenty of room to drive around or wait for the next available pump. FYI: Watch out for the craziness this place attracts.

Cheapest gas, Friendly people, & easy in and out. You will always be welcomed... And did I mention the cheapest gas in Sacramento! I know for a fact that most Arco Ampm's do not accept credits something to do with keeping the prices low for us... Makes sense... Instead of paying the credit card companies 5%! Cash and debit only at all Arco's, I don't mind spending my own money instead of spending borrowed currency. I don't mind paying the $0.35 debit fee if I'm already saving so much money in the long run. I know places that charge even more. I'm a customer for life! As for the homeless people well they are always going to be a problem in Sacramento, this place is not the only place that has homeless folks, it is definitely not Ghetto. From 2012 I have seen such an improvement with this place... I always see their employees trying to run the homeless off the property. Their customer service has gotten much better. I also see people who are not homeless and drive up to the station in their cars and walk pump to pump asking for money... Their same old excuses... Either they got their wallet stolen or lost and they have no money, or they just happened to run out of gas (at a gas station?! How convenient), or come up to you selling CDs. I would rather get my gas and goodies and leave right when I'm done its good to be courteous to the next customer waiting behind me. Two thumbs up!! P.S. My favorite place to go for my gas station needs.

Tornados 2 for 2 bucks.

Need a quick bight to eat?? They always have some kind of hot food here. Usually the cheapest fuel in town. Need a beer. Look no further. This ampm in the arden area is a pretty good one. Almost always 2 checkers working so no real wait time.

Best gas in town!!! It's rare that a gas station beats the prices of Costco's membership pricing for gas but this place surpasses Costco's low prices without the lines! The customer service representatives are respectfully pleasent and it is an east transaction to come and go here!

Usually the cheapest gas in the area on Arden Way even though you have to pay the .35 ATM charge. On the corner of Arden Way, Ethan Way and Alta Arden Expy. At the end of the Arden Mall.

Make sure you guys check what actual price they are charging you for! They will say "oh it's taxes" meanwhile just over charging you.

The prices are usually the cheapest around and they are open 24/7, what more could I ask for?

Adj: Small but Mighty little Grocery Outlet…read more Still a good one, an oldie but a goodie. We've been coming here for over a decade, and it's still a consistently good GO. For a more pricey part of town since it's in midtown, just on the edge of downtown really, this GO has stayed reasonable in all it offers. It's located at 1700 Capitol Ave not far from the east side of Capitol Park a few blocks from the Capitol Rose Garden. This GO is right across 17th St from the East End Complex buildings with offices for the CA Dept of Public Health and CA Dept of Health Care Services. Out front there were still some herbs and spring seasonal plants on sale, although only 1 rack of them left, since it's already kind of late in the planting season. This is a smaller store, given how expensive real estate is in downtown, but the owners have really packed it all in. Every section has most everything other bigger Grocery Outlet stores carry, except maybe not as many of any given item, but overall, I see that most things I'm looking for and buy regularly at my neighborhood GO is still available here. You've got your fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, dairy (milk and yogurt), sundries, pantry staples like cans and dry pasta, seasoning (sauces and spices), freezer items (frozen veg, meats and heat-and-eat meals), and beers & wines all available here with great variety. As you enter the store there's a super convenient grab-n-go deli cold case section for quick ready-to-eat lunches which is super helpful for office workers who might be just looking to get something very quickly for lunch without breaking the bank. You can get a salad kit, a ready-made sandwich, pre-cut fruits, some cheeses, or a deli salad in this section. There's also a small floral section right near here so if you were looking for a gift to give to a coworker/boss/friend/your significant other, you can very easily and quickly find a nice potted plant or a small bouquet and be on your way. It's definitely not a full-service floral dept, but there's a good assortment of plants and flowers to choose from and some of were even tropical plants that looked pretty unique! Next there's the health & beauty section next, and it's pretty comprehensive. Next is the produce section and it's smaller than a suburban GO, but it's still got a little bit of most kinds of veggies and fruits you'd be looking for, and if you're ok with a different brand of salad than your go-to brand, you'd definitely find some here, so the key is flexibility while shopping at GO. Then there's the meat dept next to the produce section, it is smaller, but still a good sized display case filled with meats of all kinds, and next to that are the dairy cold cases where I saw some pretty nice brands of creamers such as Califia coconut creamer and Nutpods creamer, both priced so much lower than regular grocery stores, I'll add pics of those. My fav section is the snacks area. I found some snacks here that have been out of stock at 2 other GO's I visited looking for them, so I stocked up and bought a bunch so I won't run out! So thankful that they had them in stock! The rest of the store is laid out and stocked with pretty much the same items as other bigger GO's. You've got your dairy, frozen, pantry staples, and wine sections in addition to the other departments I already mentioned, and everything looked pretty well organized and quite easy to find. One thing is that the aisles here are closer together probably so they can save space and maximize their shelves to provide as much wonderful grocery items to their customers as they can. Check out was quite easy and the cashier was friendly and quick. Thank you Midtown GO and we hope you will keep on keeping us well-fed at affordable prices. I'll definitely be back to restock when I run low on my essentials and to look for new and exciting items at my favorite "bargain market"!

It's my first time here and when walking in, one of the store staff (I think owner?) was taking professional photos with a banner that says something like "now serving Java City coffee". They were busy promoting their store and it was nice to see that! The store is like a mini mart with lots of snacks, everyday items, toiletries, toys, medicine, drinks, etc. They also have a section of the store where it's a bar area and quite a few people were in there! The store is clean and stocked with items. They have a hot food section, ice cream freezer, and fridgerated food (sandwiches, deli items) up at the front counter for easy access/ordering. I didn't find any pricing specifically for the to-go plate food (there were pricing for containers), but it was a decent price! The price in total was around $11-12 for the plate of food and ice cream (which was $2.99), totaling my order to be around $15. I got the chicken tikka plate with double chicken tikka (they called it sides, so technically I ordered two sides of chicken tikka masala), rice, and naan. I didn't get to take a picture of the plate, but it was a good portion and very filling! The chicken tikka masala was more on the creamy side, not much spice, but still was delicious. I was very pleased. I'd come back again! There was another staff member (I think owner as well) there who provided me great customer service and informed me how Cottage mart has been here for over 40 years! I was surprised it's my first time hearing about this place. It's a very underrated spot.

So recently, when I was leaving UC Davis and admiring the architecture of the homes and noticed this little convenience store nestled in the neighborhood it was super nostalgic! I had to stop and grab a cold drink just to experience it. The inside is just as charming as the outside- lots of live plants, a deli counter for sandwiches, enormous wine, selection, and a friendly clerk! I can picture myself here living in the neighborhood and going on an evening walk after dinner to grab a nice bottle of wine to drink in the backyard. As I was leaving a dad was parking his bike with his two little toddlers in tow. Clearly he he's taking advantage of the neighborhood market and making memories with his kids. I love this place!
